Friday Exploration Day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday Exploration Day

I have a rental car reserved for the weekend at their cheap weekend rate and am waiting for them to pick me up. Can't drive my motorhome until I get new brakes on Monday. Front ones sound horrible!

So, I am going to head over the the small town of Fernandina Beach to walk around and maybe buy some fresh shrimp. I've been watching the shrimp boats, so someone in town must have shrimp for sale!

Got up early to buy a ticket for the XMas dinner here. While I was waiting my turn to sign up, a lady approached me and asked who cuts my hair. I told her I mostly do it myself and am a hairstylist. She wants me to cut her hair. Turns out she and her husband are the ones who own the 42' diesel pusher I watched come in and park down the street the other day. Looks like I might have a busy winter cutting hair around here!

Came back to bed for a bit after that. Working this afternoon but want to get some things done before then. Sun is out but chilly this morning. Not too bad tho.

Tomorrow will be a busy day. The arts and crafts sale from 9-1, the BBQ cookout by the main pool at noon and ice cream social after that. Then head to Palm Springs in the afternoon to find a place to watch the Festival of Lights Christmas parade at 6pm. Will be busy but fun! Starting Sunday, I work 5 days next week! Need the money but also wish I had more time off to get things done. Altho I think I get more done when I am pressed for time rather than having too much time available. I work better under pressure with deadlines!

I requested next Thursday off to go hiking with the club here but I think I will use that day to get things taken care of with the trailer. Still need to get the Andersen hitch installed and get new tires. Hoping I can take care of both of those on Thursday. Also need to get my car smogged so I can get my tags for it this month.

Pat, so sorry about you being so sick this past August. That is not fun at all! Maybe you need to take a vacation somewhere else in August to stay healthy!

Have a great day! :D

Good Morning still, well, I did not sell the trailer!! Seems as though there is a new scam going around involving PayPal!!!!
A person was trying to scam me!!! It is complicated to attempt to explain it. My daughter and her friend went onto the internet and found the info about the scam. I was so happy about selling the trailer so fast and they kept saying “something doesn’t sound right”. They were right! So, spread the word about it to all your friends.

Lyn, I'm so sorry your almost sale went bust. There's lots of that going on. I'm making a huge casserole of scalloped potatoes for a church luncheon we're putting on for the daughter of the Father's daughter. It should be fun.

Yes, there are scammers everywhere. Do not ever give out personal info or send or receive "money" in any form thru the mail, PayPal, wire, gift cards, debit cards, etc. Cash in person only.
