First December Wednesdsy

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

First December Wednesdsy

Morning all. Just checking in to say hi. Cloudy outside, which is pretty much norm this time of year. Good day to get some things done in house. Got things to put away that are scattered around, been setting stuff down here and there, gotta stop that., take a few pics of some furniture I want to sell, catch up on Financial bookwork etc. All little stuff, but needs dong. And of course the daily dog walk.

Velda, glad to hear your surgery went well. They have come a long way since I had mine done years ago. Beth, sorry about the scratches. It’s just our human nature to be stupid and push things beyond where we know we shouldn’t. Been there done. Barbie, sounds like you are really decorating the halls. My mom loved Christmas too. We always decorated the house and my dad did the outside light thing, then later I took that over. After mom passed away, my enthusiasm for Christmas waned and I don’t bother anymore. Used to do some outside lights here but not going up on ladders to do that now and with all the snow we get, things just get buried out there. None of my neighbors bother either. Truth be told, it doesn’t even feel like Christmas coming. It’s gotten so commercialized, it’s turned me off. Glad I Don’t have all that hustle and bustle to deal with. I do however like the sales going on for things I want, like tools  Just turn me loose in Lowe’s or Home Depot please  As is, I bought some stuff yesterday. Early Christmas for me.

Off to the shower and get moving here. Have a nice day all.

RAIN, RAIN, and more RAIN. It is wonderful!!! Sue, I can picture your home with the snow all over. I am so glad I saw your home in person!!! I have not sold the trailer. It just got moved to a home for parking and viewing. It was down in the storage lot and passer bye could not see it. My daughter is helping me clean it.
Tina, those pictures you posted of you and Josef were very good. I liked that red suit you had on!
We just canceled our Netflix as they changed the way one accessed the site. It was much too complicated for us to bother with, and , we never really watched it.

Good morning all! Got up a bit ago and stepped on scale and I can see the readout without glasses.im like a kid in a candy store! Eye feels pretty good. I did drop 1, almost time for 2, then 3. It's dark and cloudy and I've been hearing rain off and on. Oh and weight down to pre thanksgiving, my body truly does not like carbs even the called good carbs ESP broccoli. I hope by the next day or two to feel comfortable driving as we have a viewing on Friday and funeral Saturday for a good friend. Thankfully my vision is considerably Clearer even now, less than 24 hours from surgery. Yay. I need to get decorating. I love Christmas music and lights. I had missed so much church during Mel's long illness and the thing I missed the most was Christmas hymns. A few days ago, being the first Sunday of December, we began including beautiful Christmas theme hymns and I can't tell you how very good it felt to sing them with the congregation. I also am challenging myself to read the 24 chapters of Luke during the days leading to Christmas. Sue, those are he two things that make Christmas meaningful for me. Add to those Chris and I shopping for a tree and hanging our years old favorite ornaments, each with meaning for us and I'm going to try to find our Nativity to set out.my Christmas CDs are going to be playing?
Have a peaceful day everyone. I'm grateful for a skilled Dr and innovation that has led to sight restoration in not just me. 28 of us at that one surgery center had our sight restored yesterday!

The thing I miss the most about Christmas is the stockings my mom made up for me every year even as an adult. She put so much love and time, (and money!) into those stockings and I really looked forward to opening everything in the morning when I woke up. Miss those days... :(

Cool and rainy all day. Very quiet at work so my manager let me go home early. I went to WM for a few more decorations and ingredients to make chili. Then to Home Depot for a few things. Got some paint for the shed so I can paint that once it stops raining. I will paint the bottom half in the peach color (found a gallon of that paint in the shed), and the top half in off-white (Warm Marshmallow), with the teal trim at the top so it will match the house.

After I got home, I went to a friends parents house in the park to give her dad a haircut. He has Alzheimers but is still pretty functional. Very nice couple! They loved his haircut so now my friend's mom wants a haircut so will go back tomorrow to cut her hair.

I weaned Lola off her Prednisone about a month ago and she is doing so much better. Her stools are now mostly solid (altho still stinky  ), she seems to feel better, still eating well, and looks better too (shiny fur, bright eyes, etc). I still have her on the GI dry food but nothing else.

Saturday is our community craft sale at the main clubhouse. I have the day off for that, and also to go to the Festival of Lights Christmas parade in Palm Springs that evening. Supposed to get more rain this weekend so am hoping it stops in time for the parade.

Off to bed early since I work in the morning again.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

today was games... had a good time...
so accomplished next to nothing at home... did dishes.. and started a row on my afghan
it had rained some today may or may not go to Parker tomorrow was planning on going with my friend but if it rains she will back out as the washes may be flowing... not sure we have had that much rain but perhaps elsewhere they have. If I don't go have a lot to do here... think even though I checked the oil perhaps I didn't read it right (in the generator) the last two times it has died then I could get it restarted will hope that if I can get the place open to drain the oil that will make it happier... and refill...
finally got the table up a neighbor came over and helped... I sent a message to another friend on FB as I don't have her phone number (she lives just up the road from me) and asked if she would stop by but she is in Vegas and so she called Jerry and asked him to come over he did so.. yep two person job...
not sure why didn't sleep overly great remember letting out some of the air in the bed.. think I let out too much ought to go add to it while the generator is running it's hard getting it just right not too soft but not so hard it's like a board
