Last day of November

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last day of November

Postby Othersharon » Sat Nov 30, 2019 12:37 pm

Greetings to all of you. It’s just after noon here in the east and I’m getting my day going. Admittedly I’m a bit slow to start my days! I’m still eating leftovers from dinner at my oldest son and his family. They always make sure I bring home something! I’ve taken to putting storage bags in my purse so I don’t have a bunch of their containers hanging around on my counters! I made my apple tart the other day and I’m not happy with how it turned out so I’ve been looking for a different recipe online. I went through everything I could think of looking for the original recipe I had from my Dutch friend and it seems to have just disappeared. So I’m heading off to Wegmans later to see if they have a couple of ingredient I do remember. If they don’t have it I see I can order from Amazon. I need to go pretty soon so I can be home before the ice moves in later this afternoon. Travel isn’t looking good later and into tomorrow. I just hope all the game people leaving and students coming back are watching the forecast. I’m a wimp when it comes to icy roads! Baking seems like a fun thing to do tomorrow! The house will smell so good! So I will just wish you all a good weekend and remember tomorrow is rabbits day! Hard to believe November is almost over. Where does the time go? Travel safe.

There is no such thing as "wimpy" when it comes to icy roads.

The snow on the mountains behind me melted already, but the clouds cleared out on the mountains on the other side of the valley and they are absolutely beautiful all covered in snow! I took pics on the way to work and will post some of those when I get home tonight.

I need to remember "Rabbits" tonight. Can't believe it is already December already! And just over 3 weeks til Christmas! :o. My Christmas shopping this year will just be stuff for my trailer (tires, battery, propane tank, and getting the sway hitch installed).
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Sharon, I totally agree about not driving on ice. It's super dangerous. (Barbie, I edited my post because you got in ahead of me and I said the exact same thing.) Hopefully I'll remember rabbits, but I'm not counting on it.

I've put together another cabinet today. Next was putting things away in the casita. I got one load of laundry done... Well it's still outside drying and have a couple to do tomorrow. Finally have the sunshine necessary to do it and I wanted to wait till the last minute so I'll be leaving with everything clean. If I get energetic in a bit I'll see about moving the food from the casita fridge to the rv... Mainly is all the food I cooked and packaged for my freezer.

Right now I'm in the recliner and Ty is lying across my lap. Of course I don't want to disturb him. LOL

It's a grey day in northern California and just starting to blow and rain come down. I'm headed down the road to my VA hearing test. Fortunately only 10 min away. Yes on a Saturday afternoon! We will be eating leftover ham and sides again. Just a few days now until my first cataract removal and placing of the trifocals IOL! I'm excited but a little anxious. Hope I remember to say rabbits to make December a good month!
Stay safe on roads everyone who are traveling.

yesterday got up and started the cleaning up packing up getting ready to go bit... then found out that we needed to figure out how I was getting to Vegas...
My granddaughter and her husband flew in their flight didn't leave till 6:30 PM so number 1 dd wanted to hang out with them besides which with gd and gs and their belongings there was no room for me and my stuff as well as Shadow... my #3 dd was with her son and his wife and baby since Shadow snapped at baby once they didn't think it would be a good match besides which they weren't going home right away wanted to go to the Tar Pits and the beach I would have loved to go to the beach but what to do with Shadow while at the Tar Pits and then again he snapped at the baby so felt really unwelcome there.. #2 dd had room but Shadow doesn't like her husband I was beginning to wonder if I would have to hitch hike... and they didn't have room for my stuff... ended up going with #2 dd to Vegas my stuff came with #3 dd but didn't get to me till about midnight.. and was much too tired to even take the lap top out of my bag... got to Vegas to late to go see my sister... nephew doesn't drive at night then this morning when I would have asked him to take me over for a few moments he up and leaves no nothing not even much of a good morning... he isn't a social person...so loaded up all my stuff and shadow and text my sister asking what the name of the hospital was no reply ... finally called decided that I wasn't coming over as it was later than I wanted and lose and hour... so talked a few left and went to Havasu stopped at Walmart actually found a tree for 38 dollars will hope that it looks good... so two Walmarts Culvers and the market here in town stop at friends to take her Walmart stuff was home around 7 was so glad...
totally enjoyed my trip was very worried about Shadow and his interacting he did great with the exception of that one time... not sure if it was because of his swim or just different surroundings but he just wasn't himself... even in the car he laid down by my feet and said nothing even with "that Man" driving truly he doesn't like my sil but when I got out of the car at my sisters Shadow was in front of me so had to had the leash to whom ever and it happened to be sil and he didn't make any noise about it... not that I think it's been cured but for some reason this weekend he was really good around those he typically isn't just which he hadn't chosen to snap at the baby...
there was lots of snow had we had to leave the day before not sure we would have been able to ... people stopped on the freeway playing in the snow... seemed strange but then I come form where there is snow probably at least 6 months out of the year if not more...
need to remember Rabbits sure could use it what with the fridge being out..
need to find out if Anita is still in area... if she is lurking and reads this give me a call
