RV park turned into a large lake yesterday

Postby asirimarco » Fri Nov 29, 2019 8:48 am

Well yesterday we were in the middle of Lake Las Jaibas Resort - not kidding the storm here in Mazatlan was one of the worst to hit the area in a long time. Because of all the construction here last year and the BIG block wall they built and we are at the low end of the park we were surrounded by about 1/2 foot of water. I thought for a while the Jeep was going to float away.

downtown there was over three feet of water in the streets - posted lots of pictures of the rv park on the blog.
This morning a pretty sunrise reflecting in what is remaining of the lake.

With those new walls, you are essentially in a bathtub! They apparently didn't consider drainage when they built them. I hope it goes down soon tho! Did you remember to bring your golashes? Maybe you could get a kayak to paddle around!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I clicked on the link and read the long story.....not fun. I am also imagining the letter Jayco gets regarding the "never leaking" window. Complete with pictures to back it up. May you dry out quickly and file this experience under We survived but lets not do it again. Now forward to new and better adventures for the rest of the winter.

I, too, clicked on your link and being a survivor of several floods, my heart hurts for you. It does get better.
