Happy Thanksgiving Shirley and everybody else. I just finished peeling the butternut squash I am making for the community meal here at the FloriLows Oaks RV Park in Bushnell, FL. A nice group of people to spend the winter months with. I miss the beach in Kino Bay, Mexico, but not the long drive. Enjoy today. Peggy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I may be heading down to Florida in December but it may only be for a couple weeks. I have signed up with the scoring center and let them know I am available by mid January for a work assignment. I haven't heard back, yet. Have decided that building up my travel account is more motivating to me than being warm. I am already finding myself deciding not to go to things around here and when I examine my reasons, my body responds, "It is cold outside, hibernating is the best choice." I wear layers. I will survive. I will travel.

Good morning everyone, from warm & sunny Ocala. The turkey is in the oven, pies are made, as are the biscuits and devilled eggs. We always brine our turkey so hoping for the usual tasty results. Tina, if you come to FL, perhaps we can meet up. Peggy, we're not that far apart. Let's plan a gtg! Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day! Lots to be thankful for here!

I slept a little late this morning and I discovered last night that I need another container of sour cream for my dishes, so am heading out as soon as I wake up a bit more to pick that up. Then start working on my dishes.

No rain so far but will be coming in later on. Clouds are moving in.

Have a great day and don't overstuff yourselves! :D

The storm is here! Very windy and raining here now. Got home from the store just before it started. I hear it is snowing in Joshua Tree right now. Got my cole slaw done and corn bread hotdish is baking. Hunkering down on the couch right now under a cozy blanket!

I'm stuffed. And I skipped dessert. I brought home some stuffing and salad and whatever leftovers of my potatoes there were. We actually had some sun today but rain predicted tonight and all day tomorrow along with high winds... Already heading in. Needless to say, tomorrow will be a stay at home/casita day. Ty knows the rv as "home" and the casita is "casita". Just walk means we're going anywhere. I realized the other day when I put the leash on him and said we're going to the casita and he went out and straight to the casita... Which means turning right instead of left leaving the rig. I love him learning unintentionally.

A late Happy Thanksgiving from me. I drove 125 miles today to get to Augusta, GA, and tomorrow am headed to Savannah. I was there a few years ago, but want to go again and maybe take a tour of some sort. Love that it was warm and sunny today in Georgia, so I was back to wearing shorts and a t-shirt--my favorite.

Back to hunkering down on the couch after eating too much! Great food but too much! Nice small group for our meal. Met some new people. The rain wasn't coming down very much by then, just sprinkles.

My cornbread hot dish was OK but didn't work well in the crock pot. Will go back to baking it in the oven next time. Everyone who tried it liked it tho. Cole slaw went over well too. I didn't even have room to eat dessert. Can you believe that?? I got some leftovers for later.
