Foggy Tuesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Foggy Tuesday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Tue Nov 19, 2019 7:24 am

Good Morning. Bit foggy here in northern Michigan. We have temps at or above freezing, no wind and with snow on the ground, it’s causing fog from melting snow. The air is bit warmer than the surface thing. Here where I am, we only have a couple inches but other area have way more especially along the Lake Michigan shoreline counties. Ran is predicted for Thursday, so will probably take care of what snow is here. Supposed to turn to snow on Friday but then looking quite mild first of next week, so maybe I might get to run my leaf blower over the yard one more time. We shall see. But I’m sure there will be a day trip coming up if it does what they say it will.

Off to tbe dentist this afternoon to get new crown installed. Did the chiropractor yesterday. Appt. with NP on Thursday for yearly “wellness checkup”. So Beth, I’m like you in getting my fall doctor appts. done. Other than Chiropractor whom I see every 6 weeks for “Maintenance checkup”, that will be the end. Those 6 week check up keeps my physical body tuned up and in good shape. Alleviates a lot of health issues and physical issues before they start. Am wondering how Lyn made out.

Judy, glad your tests are done, everything looking good and now you can head south. Peggy, enjoy your winter. Barbie, glad your sale went well. I’ e Got some things I want to get out on FB Marketplace to sell. Martha, you should get that sciatica problem checked out. It’s caused by the sciatica nerve being pinched and can get inflamed. My dad had that problem.

Nothing exciting g going on around here. Going to clean house this morning and probably do a dog walk as dentist appt. is late afternoon and will be getting too close to dark by time I get home. Haven’t gotten to my scrapbook project for a few days, but will probably it up again if it rains on Thursday. Fun reliving the memories from this past summer. Am also doing some looking a trucks as lease is up next April, but want to be ready in case a lease roll back comes along. Thinking on next year’s camping too. Wondering g who all might be heading to SD. Maybe a GTG out there?

Good Morning to All - just a quick check in while the generator is running. We are on our last leg to Mazatlan. Will be a long driving day almost 300 miles - which is like 600 in the states. Have a couple of check points to go through and several expensive tolls and from what other have said the roads are not as good as they have been so far. Oh well - well drive sow and try to see the topes before we reach them and try to avoid the potholes. And smile when we get waved at because we are driving in the left lane to avoid the craters in the right lane. Probably should take us about six to seven hours. Once there we'll kind of get set up then go to Fat Fish for RIBS! Always our first meal in Mazatlan. It is supposed to start raining there this evening and rain until Saturday. As always I write about it in the blog.

I have been to the doctor for my sciatica twice and have another appointment next Monday. This morning I can walk without a cane if you call what I do walking. It takes me a minute to get in gear when I stand up. I have found a couple of exercises online that help a little but not long lasting. Sheila was right about laying in the floor, it's hard to get up. The cats have to come check me out to see what I'm doing. I tried a heating pad yesterday but that didn't help.

I had a good time last night at the meetup and good pizza. There were 11 of us attending. We seem to rearrange a restaurant almost everywhere we go but they don't seem to mind. I guess if 11 show up they are happy. The lady that picks the restaurants usually picks small, out of the way places. We have been to Greek, Cuban, Indian and Venezuelan restaurants. Not places I would have ever gone to on my own and the food has mostly been very good. I wan't too fond of the Indian food but it was ok.

Have a safe trip Carol. If the roads are worse than some in Louisiana I feel for you. The shortest way for me to get to I-10 going West is the worst.

I miss our weekly dinners out here at the park. Some others feel the same. My friend Candy is the organizer of it and said she may start setting up the dinners again but once a month, thru the winter and just for the same group we had.

Good morning all.
Sunny and warm here in Arizona. I arrived in Arizona City on Sunday afternoon. The drive from Calgary, Alberta was uneventful thank goodness. I am looking forward to spending this winter out west although I will miss my Florida friends.
Everyone here is very friendly. While walking Joey I have met several neighbors. There are many activities from which to pick and choose. It is quiet now as many of the snowbirds have not yet returned.
I am slowly getting my site fixed up the way I want it. I will wait until the rains of the next few days have passed before finishing.
Looking forward to meeting in Quartzsite in January.
Have a great day. Safe travels to all.

Good Morning! We are supposed to get some rain too! I will believe it when I see it.
I am awaiting a phone call from my cardiologist regarding the results of the lung tests. I know my lungs are getting worse as things I do cause me breathing problems.
I am also awaiting a message from my regular doctor about getting a motorized scooter.
Wait, wait, wait is all I do with this new medical care!

Morning everyone! Or it is still here in northern California. Sun shine and 70 has been the norm here! Changes tomorrow with wind and power outages for some areas again ( not in my city as we have city power plant). So glad Judy has medical clearance and can head south! Lyn, wishing you the help you need with your lungs. Everyone with health challenges, know my thoughts are with you!
Today, son has to be at dentist in mid afternoon as he lost a filling! He's not been happy since Saturday when it happened as cold and hot hurts!
I just got an exciting call from eye Dr! Seems Dr reworked my numbers after a week of dry eye treatment and retest, and I'm a good candidate for the brand new IOL we had hoped to use! Costs a little more than first estimate ( am paying extra for use of laser and upgraded Toric IOLs for my astigmatism), but really excited to get multifocals he had said almost a year ago would give me best result. I'm one who had not even a stumble adjusting to either bi or tri-vocals in either old style or progressive type, in fact progressives were even easier. So I anticipate only a short adjustment and great improvement. First eye Dec 3!
Have a great rest of your day everyone.

Dang, dang, dang! I went to play golf and turns out I was an hour late! For some reason I was thinking it started at 9:45 instead of 8:45. So I just took some photos of the beautiful course and then went home.

Need to get things put away from the sale before the rain comes. (You know it will rain if I don't bring it in! ). Then back to work for the afternoon/evening. It is already clouding up so hopefully we will get some rain out here.

Have a good day! :D

I do still have one small medical clearance on the small uptake of contrast on my thyroid, but I have a call in to my regular doctor and am expecting to be able to take care of that in Florida. It is likely a false positive because thyroids get a lot of those, and it certainly is not an emergency.

I have work to do today, but am going out tomorrow to buy a new laptop and say good-bye to my grandkids. I'll probably run a quick last load of laundry off there also. Then I will be off on Thursday morning, aiming for Cincinnati the first night and maybe Knoxville on Friday night. Next stop will be my aunt and uncle's house in far northeast Georgia because I need to go through my uncle's desk to see what legal documents I can find. We are still missing some originals which will really help us with stuff. I also want to stop by a memory care facility northeast of Atlanta that looks very nice and kind of interesting. Most importantly, they have an ice cream social every afternoon, which if you deal with elderly people, you know is VERY important!! (I also like that the manager's mother lives there.) GA was their home for 30 years before they moved into the Florida home, so their old doctors and law firm is there, and it would make the legal issues a lot easier, plus Atlanta is an easy airport to fly into from anywhere.

Had three deer grazing about 30' from my motorhome in this state park this morning. It is very quiet here during the week with only three very spread out campers, but last weekend there were at least a dozen rigs and groups, including one family in a tent!!

It rained a bit like it said it would but not for long it probably will later about the time I have to take Shadow out and turn off the generator... ran some errands today then stopped at this place and got some taco's after all it is taco Tuesday right???
they sure hit the spot... came home read scriptures then took a nap woke up and read and read and read not careful might finish the book tonight... even later than I usually turn on the generator... hooked up the buddy just in case but doubt I will need it tonight...
went to get on the bank site and stumped ... a few months ago I hit by accident the save user thing so haven't had to put that in just the password will for some reason it was unclicked and wants the password that I no long remember... guess I need to go in and fix it but hate coming up with stuff like that... just really don't like not getting into it .
I can remember the one we had when my husband was on the account... know what it was when he wasn't but then account has been changed since then don't remember that one but perhaps I can try maybe I keep it ...
so that has been my day... a friend checked my truck fluids today all is good

Well, it is raining! It started about 2pm and has been raining off and on since then, sometimes pretty good. No complaints here. We really need it. The higher mountains are getting snow. There is a winter storm warning just "up the hill" from us. Should be pretty to see the snow on the mountains once the sun comes back out on Thursday.

Two days off now. If it rains all day tomorrow I am pretty sure I won't get much of anything done around here. Just don't have much motivation of rainy days. Just want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and nap or play on my laptop.

Have a good night!
