Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday~Hug a (Teddy) Bear Day

Mornin' ladies~~~
It's also Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day. I know we all find lumps on our pups as they get older. Thankfully, mine have all just been the fatty/ getting older bumps, but it's a good reminder.

Finally am in Hot Springs NP, Arkansas after a delay of 8 months since the Louisiana accident, but it's starting as a rainy foggy morning, so a good time to catch up on laundry. Heading into OK & TX from here. Getting closer to the yearly inspection due on the Ford. Keeping an eye on temperatures tho, so may head in a bit of a different direction, but still ending up in the same place for the holidays.

Hope everyone is staying warm. Looks like the entire country is in for some really cold weather and maybe some more snow. Yea, I'm donee with that stuff. Knock on wood. :)

That's it from me. Have a good day everyone.

Just turning noon here! It’s a cold rainy day. Flurries predicted for this area early evening. It’s Ben a crazy couple of weeks for me. First it was the deep freezer going out and replacing that. Heck of a way to clean it and and reorganize! Then a week ago today my main furnace died but think I mentioned I luckily had supplemental sources. Part was ordered and did arrive as promised on Monday so my repairman came about 5 and put it on and it started right up. Meanwhile the water company fellow had come to the door to let all of us on the new lines that we’d be without water all day Tuesday while we got connected to the new main. So about 8 or 9 hours without water. I decided it was a good day to get some errands done and ate an early dinner out! By the time I got home water was back on so emptied buckets and containers that I had saved the night before! Maybe my experiences with camping with no water hook ups came in handy! I spent about 2 hours bagging leaves and filled about 10 bags. Looks like I didn’t even put a dent in the piles out back. My back was screaming so figured I’d better quit for the day. Feels much better after sleeping last night. My sister suggested I get a manure rake to pick them up. She calls it an apple picker. I imagine those of you familiar with horses know what I’m talking about! So Rascal and I are going to a farm store and check it out. Not sure how it’ll work but it’s worth a try. Anything to save the back! So that’s about it for me! Hope everyone is having a good day and dealing well with whatever Mother Nature is throwing at you! Coats, hats and gloves definitely came out yesterday! Travel safe if you are on the road.

The weather here in California is still warm and beautiful. We should hit 80 today here in my area southeast of San Francisco. I don’t know what I would do in the cold weather a lot of the country is experiencing today. We need rain though. So far they’re saying it could be a week or two before we see any. Hopefully we won’t get anymore fires before the rain comes.

I hope everyone has a great day and anyone on the road please stay safe.

It has been a week of dog watch but despite some x-rays with a suspicious area on it. Lark has made it through, so far, without any scary symptoms and remains surgery free. I thought two days ago that she was losing her appetite. A possible sign of a problem, partial blockage, etc......but it seemed that she had lost her appetite for her boring ProPlan diet and after having had some tastier food those early days of vomiting up small pieces of vinyl squeaky toy. She says home made chicken and rice with chicken gravy tastes just grand!

FYI.....Cheryl: I plan to be in Chickasha, Oklahoma, next Wednesday (13th) through Sunday. It is just east of Norman. Josef and I are staying in a motel. Dog show at the Grady Fairgrounds!

If you want an unlimited hot shower, look us up!

Chilly and trying to snow here in SW Ohio but melting when it hits the ground. My hands and fingers stay cold most of the day but I did go down to the scoring center yesterday and turned my paper in letting them know that I would be available by the second week of January for scoring assignments. Between dog shows, vet bills and really enjoying my trip to Scotland, I acknowledged a need to bring some additional money into my budget and continue dreaming of the future. I am not ready to sit in my rocking chair and read all day......and with all these critters about taking up knitting is really not a practical hobby. I have a hard enough time keeping them from sleeping on my books.....

Be careful out there but find moments worth smiling about!

You'll be about 3 hours away, so probably not, but you never know. An unlimited hot shower is tempting.

I agree on the three hour being above the limit especially since we met up in KY recently but one can try. And if for some reason I had found out after the fact that we were 15 minutes away.....would not have been good. Have fun!

Tell me why I didn't do the outside work that put me in direct sun this morning before temps went up and the sun got there? I guess I wanted to sweat lol. But I rearranged much of the storage area that only has outside access. Tomorrow, or soon, I'll get a few nails and fix some wall shelves in it that were never put up right so aren't really usable until fixed. Then I can get it more arranged. Tomorrow I also have someone coming by to go over my rig and check all my caulking, etc. I usually do that in SD, but the season got away from me.

Time to fix Ty his dinner. I think he's finally accepted the time change... Which we did two weeks ago.

Hug aTeddy Bear Day? That’s so funny! Just yesterday I was wishing for a teddy bear. I think I’ll ask for one for Christmas!

I like Teddy Bears too!

Just got back from the dance. Huge crowd and great band! I ended up sitting with the guy (Larry) who brought me the cod liver oil and OJ. He was there with his daughter-in-law who is very nice - another potential new friend. Was a fun night. It was funny to see about 100+ golf carts parked out in front of the clubhouse!

Earlier, I went to the DMV and put in an address change for my drivers license, then to the bank, stopped for lunch, stopped at WM for a prescription and a flu shot.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I am out in BLM land in Q same spot... should have turned on the generator for more than running it to pull out the slides... as I plugged in the computer the green went into the amber so unplugged that gives me not long on the computer so need to hurry... it was fortunately a uneventful day other than I saw the freeway entrance in Needles took it when I was too far to change my mind I realized it was going West oops I needed to go East...so off to the next exist and it wasn't for 8-9 miles  close to 20 extra miles by the time I corrected that mistake... then there was road work on CA 95 was shocked CA improving the roads no way... I actually think they are taking out the rumble strips in the center of the highway but not sure about that... got here had help am set up stuff out of the back of the truck tomorrow will need to do stuff then go play games

Wow! Hug a Teddy Bear Day? Closest I can get is a pair of kissing dogs, my last Valentine from my honey and I hug them often! Hey, I'm an old lady, I'm entitled.

OtherSharon - I have visions of a huge pooper-scooper. Just how large is Rascal?

It's hot & dry here in SoCal, too, Sandi, and I already packed away my shorts and tees!

Wonderful to hear from you, Diana - what are you up to these days and where?

Barbie is our Dancing Queen! Glad your move to the desert is turning out to be so fulfilling for you.

And Sheila is tucked up safe and sound in Q!

All's right with the world of RV Women! Everyone hug whatever gives you joy!
