SUDDENLY IT WORKED!

Postby SoCalGalcas » Tue Nov 05, 2019 6:36 pm

I haven't been able to sign on for several days....Now, suddenly it worked!!! Thanks Beth, whatever you did.
I got new steps put on my trailer! I have decided to sell it. Reason being, I was tired/exhausted when I returned from the trip to Washington .
Driving up to Lancaster for the steps was no fun either.
Cleaning the accumulation of stuff is exhausting also!!! Everything I do is exhausting. It feels like there is no O2 going into my lungs. I believe I told you that my heart arteries are in good shape for my age. Now to see the lung doctor again.
Sorry it took me so long to get the log-in corrected. Now I am back!

So glad you're back online, Lyn. We've all missed you.

There is a time & season for everything. If the trailer isn't you bringing you 'great joy' anymore, then it's OK to let it go.
Take your time going thru everything, don't wear yourself out.
Hope the lung doctor can help you out - can't imagine how exhausting that must be.

Anyway, welcome back. Please, please take good care of yourself.

Love ya!

Welcome back Lyn. Sure missed you.

Your decision to sell your trailer will bring about big changes. I know because I’m experiencing them now since I sold my RV. But we have to do what’s best for each of us. As Catherine said, take your time emptying everything. I did mine in one day and it was exhausting. I hope you’ll continue to participate here on the forum. My plan is to attend Q in January, bringing the pups and staying in a motel for 3 nights. Any chance you might consider doing that and joining us? It would not be the same without you.

I hope you get some help from your lung doctor.

I'm glad you are finally back! But I'm sure going to miss you in Q. I understand and think Sandi has a great idea. Please think about it. And please go see the lung doctor!

Lyn, you have been blessed with your many travels - as have those of us that met up with you along the way. Certainly hope you will consider coming to Q in January.

I understand about the exhaustion - that's how I am feeling being on the road full time.

Hoping you will get your health issues taken care of - we need you to breathe!! Hugs.

Glad to hear from you again!

Sorry to hear you are selling your trailer but you need to do what you feel is best for you. Maybe if you still wanted to travel some, you could get a Class B which would be much easier to deal with than the truck and trailer was.
Are you selling the solar panels too?

Would be great to see you in Q anyways.

Hope you can get to your lung doctor soon to find out what is going on. Let us know!

Glad you were finally able to check in with us, but sad that you haven't been to the doctor yet for your breathing problems, and that you are selling your trainer. There will come a time when when all of us may face that decision, but sure hope you will still be able to visit Q or other places when we travel through.

Thank you for checking in and bearing with all our pleas to get your lungs checked out. Benny wants you to be able to take him for his walks you know! Do what you need to do to keep on breathing and enjoying new adventures what ever and where ever those adventures may be. Gosh, Lyn, so glad you could surface again! We were all concerned. Funny, but I'm going through the same thought process. Hate to give up, but exhausting to hook and unhook, set up, break down, keep climbing in and out, checking levels, etc. I've downsided twice, but even Serendipity is getting to be too much and she is a "B". It would be a hard chore to sell her, deal with potential buyers and get enough to cover my loan balance.

I have a friend with one of those fancy regular vans - the type with only a sofa, a small cabinet and has extra headroom. She used to belong to my GS camping group and tries to join us once or twice a year. I picked her brains last month. She uses a heavy duty extension cord at RV parks for coffee pot, small micro, and toaster/oven, and a porta-potty. No stooping for hookups or leveling, etc. but can't boondock that easily especially out here where it can at times be unbearably hot or cold. I've thought of going the motel route and joining up with friends camped nearby, but that has another set of problems, too. It's so hard to hang up the keys and give up the traveling we love. Think it over carefully and know you have a lot of friends giving you support for whatever you decide.

I too am glad to hear from you Lyn. Been wondering and worrying like the rest of the ladies. Sorry to hear you are selling your trailer, but I can certainly understand. There comes a time when we all have to decide what’s best for us. You haven’t had it that long, but you had more adventures and met many people in that time than many of us have done or will probably ever do. Whether or not you know it, you have been an inspiration to us, undertaking not one, but two cross country trips at an age when a lot of people wouldn’t dare. It’s like a, if Lyn can do it, so can I mentality boost. I certainly enjoyed spending time with you this past spring. Wish the weather had been better though.

I too have been having those thoughts of how much longer I want to haul a trailer around. Sometimes I am camping and think I wish I could just leave it and drive home, free of towing anything. But I do love being in it. Time will tell.

So, go see the lung doctor and then take it from there. As others have said, there are always the motels Near camping friends. But please don’t forget us and keep us posted.

I second this! I always tell myself, if Lyn can do this, I can too! You are an inspiration to all of us! I hope we can see your smiling face at Q this year again!
