Good morning. No work today. The contracts are done until beginning up again next Monday. Need to make phone calls and get several appt. set up for this week but as you can tell I've been spending my time reading e-mail and forums so far and no - haven't made a single phone call! I can adjust to the not busy mode so quickly! Enjoying my diet coke and thinking about the errands to run.....books on tape make the running around interesting..... Hope everyone has an interesting adventure today what ever road you are traveling on....it is all a journey....

Good morning Zeee, Lori and Bird!

Today would have been a good day to stay home, bake bread or something else yummy, curl up in the recliner and watch a movie... it's raining cats and dogs out there.

For me I think it's 19 more days with kids,... then Graduation on the 27th,... and then,....... v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n! Of course it will still be close to home all summer for me due to $$$ challenges of not having a paycheck, but hey,... the IRA is a bit healthier lately, maybe I'll get to retire again,... sometime!

I hope you all have a great day,... I will, well.. except for that dang 1/2 hour lunch duty with grades 4-6! Give me high school any day!

I'm up and about slowly this am. Since I haven't been able to play tennis with DH he as a bad foot), I've had to resort to playing vicariously watching the French Open on satellite :( Not fun and no exercise except the not so fun ones. Hmmm, maybe I should check out the Wii.

Barbz is right-on. When DH's motor get's running, there is little to stop him--except maybe-- So here we are at Ft. Davis, TX for a few days of sightseeing some odd (Petroleum Museum) and not so odd places.

There is a couple next to us from FL who are now fulltiming and the wife's girlfriend is with them. This is not there first trip with her (will be on the road for quite a few months). Don't think I would want to have a 3rd person for that length of time, although they seem to be fine with it. He commented that "yes maam" seems to work well  and was looking forward to have another man to talk to.

Mmmm, what's that smell??? Seems that DH is taking the initiative and cooking eggs and potatoes, so I'm off this computer.

Thanks for the updates Barbz, hope you and everyone has a good day. carold

Tina, I used to enjoy Audio Books, until some idiot was searching for a song playing on my CD, Now when I put on an Audio Book it starts at Chapter Three! I can't figure out what they did. The damged writing on the buttons is so small, and all initials.

Well it is back to sun for us. It is suppose to stay this way for at least the next 5-6 days. YEAH!!!
Well we have a few to do things this am...DS has tutoring, DD has her summer camp physical. Then it is home to load up the last of the food and a few odds and ends...then off to the resort park, where we have a membership.

So not sure when I will get back to post again. DH is going to bring his wireless card from work, that we can use to check quickly.

I am really looking forward to my "mom" day tomorrow in Seattle. I am sure it will be loads of fun. That doesn't happen very often.

I should say..the resort camping so close to home..is what I call temporary insanity...as it is somewhat maintaining two homes at the same time. Since we are not far enough away...daily life still happens.

Take care all

Good Morning from still soggy AL.
Lots of catching up to do here. Everyone has been into so much this past week.
Zee: So good to have you back in the kitchen.
I spent most of last week helping a friend get ready for a big garage sale that was to run throughout the holiday weekend. A lot of work only to be done in by the weather. We opened for a few hours on Fri. and couple on Sat., totally rained out this rest of the time.
Sunday afternoon provided some excitement I could have done without. Nicky cornered a BIG snake along house foundation. By the time I got out to see what he was raising so much cane about, the snake was coiled to strike. I grabbed a broom to keep between me and snake while trying to drag Nicky away (he did not want to give up). I am terrified of all snakes. Have been all over the internet trying to identify it with not much luck. I had planned to try to get it up on broom handle to toss over fence after getting Nicky back in house. The snake had uncoiled by the time I went back out and when I saw it was about 6 feet long, decided to leave it alone; especially since I didn't know what it was.
Wishing all safe travels and a good day - what's left of it.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ALL!

It's pouring out there now, and quite cool and very icky feeling.

Pretty morning drawing, Barbzee! Wish it was that pretty here!

NO...I don't have a lawn tractor...I just have a walk behind, self-propelled Husquevarna lawn mower! So I walked a good long way yesterday, and every day when I mow. I have about 2 to 3 acres (think a football field is an acre) to mow here. It is the worst in the spring when the grass literally springs up out of the ground with great vigor. I usually mow abut 10 times in the spring....way less as summer goes on. I'll post a pic of my mower when it stops raining and I get it out again!

Time for supper now, and maybe build a small woodfire to take off the chill in here.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
