It’s Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Monday

Good morning all. Woke up this morning to pounding noise from across the road! Apparently they are replacing the front steps on the church. They’ repaired them several times over the years so guess decided to just redo! Quite an alarm clock! Luckily yesterday was a quiet and uneventful day for me. After my Saturday I rather enjoyed it. We’re supposed to get some sun today so maybe the leaves will dry up enough to get out and do some raking. My driveway is all yellow right now! Got word from my sister that her SIL had to evacuate along with her family from the same area. They are all safe so that was welcome news. Not much else from me this morning. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Monday

The weather man predicts a beautiful sunny October day here in SW Ohio. Hope everyone stays safe out there in the west with the fires, electricity or no electricity.

Josef spent the weekend supporting one a Cindy's other dogs named Player, so he was not able to accomplish what he and I needed which was picking up 2 more Grand Championship points. He is entered in a couple of more show weekends so we will have to keep showing up for a little while longer. Lark enjoyed getting to come sit at ringside and practice her down stays as we watched Cindy and Player as they competed in Groups. Josef told Player that if her was going to beat him he better make it spectacular and Player did. He placed in both Owner Handler Group rings.

I need to research some up coming shows, decide if I am going off to visit kids this fall for any of the holidays and sort out the dog show equipment depending upon what I drive to the next show. When I stay in the RV. I often load up the back of the Honda Fit as if it is a small drivable "Trailer". Very convenient but with the equipment in there, there is no room for dogs.

Make it as great a day as you can. Remember doing nothing but pondering the great issues of life is also time well spent.

Good Morning Sharon and Tina! I won't ever be short of books, either. I have a bag under the dinette seat of similar... Read someday books. Then I belong to a couple free ebook sites and am continually adding to that library. Reading material isn't a problem. :)

I learned how fast my bed linens dry on my outside line yesterday. I don't even think the comforter took an hour. There was a breeze, but mainly just the dry climate, I believe. I need to get some clothes pins though. I think I have some, but where is the question. I also had to run to the store for detergent. Mine went missing. I'm betting I left it at a park on the way... Most likely from moving it out of it's storage space to fill Ty's inside food container. So someone, somewhere, got free detergent.

Off to walk Ty. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning to all from COLD Las Vegas. Only going to be in the 60's today and Wednesday in the 50's with lows in the 30s! We had hoped to be on the road south by now but probably won't make it out of here for another week. I'll see doctor tomorrow and hope I am cleared to go. If not...Also waiting for a package to be delivered some time later this week. Gathering up things to put in RV and so have piles all over the house.
Other than that not much going on.

Off to work in a bit. Going to a different shop today and tomorrow. Today will be an 8 hour day so am hoping my back holds out thru that. Standing isn't too much of an issue tho.

Another bad fire broke out in LA over night. Winds are nasty!

We have much cooler weather moving in here too this week. The high desert just north of me has frost warnings for the next few nights! High here on Wednesday is 69*, so that is quite a change! Looking forward to it actually! Kept my windows closed over night and it was still cool in here.

Slept good again last night. My back is mostly just sore now with just some mild pain when I move a certain way or while standing up (slowly!).

Enjoy your day! :D

Just got back from seeing the eyelid ophthalmologist at Cleveland Clinic. (Wow, is that a horrible place to park! Even with my rental car I had to drive in circles in the parking garage for ever, then walk a very long way to get to the eye clinic.)

Anyway, the good news is no eyelid surgery. They tested me and said that even though they were droopy, my eyelids were not affecting my vision right now. Eventually, they will, but not for a few years.

Just got online so need to check the fire news.

Good Afternoon All,
Happen to stop in Walgreens and ask about when they would be getting Shingle vaccine. They had a shipment today. I got the first shot, $162.00 gulp :o Need the second shot in two months and price varies. Since it is scarce I’m sure the price will be higher. This area is having a hard time keeping up with the demand for flu and shingle vaccine. Safe travels

Worked 8 hours today and did 14 haircuts which kept me busy. My back was pretty stiff and sore to begin with but gradually felt better thru the evening. Hardly bothering me at all tonight. Back to work in the morning.

This shop is really short staffed so it looks like I will be able to put in a couple days per week there to get closer to full-time which I really need right now. Tips were really good as well.

Had an older guy stop here yesterday to meet me (saw me posting on our community FB page). I mentioned my back issue and arthritis. He told me he swears by a "cocktail" of cod liver oil and orange juice for arthritis. After he left, he came back with 3 plastic cups with the concoction in each one. Told me to take one each night before bedtime. I really can't stand anything fishy so I figured I would just tell him I tried it and it didn't work. Well, this morning, he shows up with a bottle of cod liver oil and a jug of OJ that he just got for me at the drug store! OMG! When I answered the door, he called me Barbie Baby. :o I am SO NOT interested in this guy!

Off to bed soon

Barbie have you thought about putting on those stick on heat thingy's for the back can't think of the name of them but in
the aisle by pharmacy I am sure someone could help you find one..
spent the day at dd's son came to visit ... we had to make a quick trip up for dd to get her car and me to drop off my truck sure wish I'd thought to have them plug it in... it's suppose to get to 8 tonight and I think looked at the low tomorrow night is 9 tonight it is 26 high tomorrow is 30 so would enjoy that 50 it's suppose to be back up to 50 next week though... came home and turned up the heat nothing grumbled a bit went and started some hot water to make noodle in cup soup and the stove came on then looked over later and pretty much nothing so went out to check the propane in the red... so switched tanks and the furnace is working between it and the buddy I'm up to 71 closed the blinds as well seems to not feel as cold
think a friend is coming over tomorrow if the weather is as it's suppose to do be snowing not sure if she will... so will be home till sil gets off work then will need to go get propane think I will top off the one the buddy is hooked up to as well
my son in law mentioned that he likes Popeye bread great harvest makes it... so found some today he was pleased
my dd said why didn't you get me some cinnamon bread? I should have as they had it but simply didn't think of it that bread isn't cheap either.. tempted to put a jug of water outside and let it freeze forgot to get ice
although the temp in the fridge is 40 tonight. since the trailer is warmer it's probably warmer as well
need to change the radio not liking this station
you all have a good day

Sheila, I have tried the stick-on pads but I have an allergic reaction to the glue on those so I can't use them. Otherwise they would be very useful.
