Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I didn't sleep well last night. Every time I moved, I got a spasm of pain in my lower pack. I did a little better by sleeping on my side but that doesn't help my shoulder pain any.

Decided to go to an urgent care this morning. The one I went to was listed on my insurance website but when I got there, they said they no longer take my insurance. She called a couple other urgent cares and non of them take it either. Went back home and made some phone calls and found one that does take it. Drove there and it is in a rough part of town. When I walked in, it was packed with about a 2 hour wait. The place was really dumpy and dark. I decided to skip it. Went out for breakfast and now am home with some pain reliever. The pain seems to get better as I move around more tho. I am fairly comfortable for now. Will probably need a nap tho.

Barbie, if your back isn't better go back, dumpy or not.

I'm somewhat overwhelmed in the casita. Since I'm not spending a lot of time here yet, I don't want to do too much... Like it needs paint and a new floor, but I'd rather those things wait until I will be spending more time. I did order a propane tank to be delivered so I'll have hot water. I wasn't paying attn and it's scheduled to come the same morning I have a doctor's appt. So I'll be making calls Monday to see if I can get one of those changed.

Ty was bad today and wouldn't come back from an off leash run. In fact he ran the other way and it was 5 or 10 minutes before I got him back. He then was very contrite... Came and rolled over on his back. But we'll be working hard on those rules again.

Hi everyone!

Velda, I am so happy for the quilt you were given and know Mel was smiling down on you.

Brenda, I'm so excited that you're going to see a different part of the county. Steve & I loved it there on our trip!

Barbie, the Urgent Care centers are way less expensive than emergency rooms and you may want to reconsider your decision about going there. You need to have your situation checked. Did you ever go to see why you collapsed on the floor? And now you need to reschedule your dentist appointment as well. Whew!

Beth, I hope you get your casita just the way you want it.

Tomorrow after church, we are leaving to go to the Keys, but only for a few days, so we're going by car. My sister & bil have a house there, which they usually rent, but right now they're staying there and invited us to visit. It's a long drive but what else do we have to do? Most of our clothes are hanging in the car and tomorrow the rest of our things will be on the back seat. It will be nice to travel again and it's always special to spend time with family.

It's bedtime, so off I go. Sweet dreams!

I am feeling quite a bit better tonight. Just some discomfort when I get up from sitting. Hoping for a better night. If I don't, I will go back to the icky one I went to today. I need to change my insurance group to one that is more user friendly.

I have another dentist appointment for next Friday. Luckily, no pain with the broken tooth.

I met some new neighbors tonight from Canada. Very nice couple. Lots of snowbirds coming in now.

I really wanted to go to a Halloween Golf Cart parade tomorrow in Palm Desert. Have been wanting to see it for a long time but never got a chance to go. Looks like I will miss it again this year. :( Next year, I guess.

My new BFF here brought me a special brownie earlier, to eat tonight to help me sleep better. ;) Time to try that out...

I was really looking forward to sleeping in this morning till last night and son in law asks if he can borrow the truck... to fill with stuff to take to the land fill... so had to get up earlier than I was wanting to... but that is ok should get back in the habit of going to bed earlier and getting up earlier... my dd was at the school doing some work had I been thinking I would have gone when sil left to go help..but thought she was going to be through at 12 but that changed and I didn't realize by how much oh well that is what is... went to Little Shop of Horrors play my granddaughter was a stage crew for the play the other plays that she will be in are while I am gone  wish that I could see one of them... oh well again this is what we choose to do when we go away for the season...
My SIL wasn't able to get the tv hooked up not sure if something is wrong with it or if its the sound barrier wall along the freeway is blocking it... I am hoping that is it...as all the stuff I have is way old.. and will need to be replaced I am still undecided what I want to do... with direct I have the East Coast West Coast pkg...which is no longer available as I understand it... we went with that as when we did travel we didn't have to call and get set up with the local stations for the two or three days we would be in the area... now I use it extensively between the two coast time difference I can watch all of the network shows I want to watch and still turn it off at 10 when the generator goes off sometimes I fudge that a bit depending upon how close people are to me... this new one is suppose to be much quieter than the old one we will see.
The people are so close in this campground although it is a nice one the other one I used to go to they weren't as close as they are here...so am looking forward to the space in the BLM land
glad you are feeling better Barbie
