Back home from KOA

All-righty...here's my day, so far!

Woke up at 6:00 am, made coffee. Had coffee with KOA neighbor and chatted awhile.
Stowed inside stuff for traveling....including both TVs and everything on shelves.
Washed coffee cup and spoons.
Emptied pee bucket and washed it in bathroom.
Cranked up stabilizer jacks. Cranked up hitch to truck level.
Put ball on truck which I had inside to keep safe. Added my wings to the ball----(this gadget works GREAT, by the way...worth every cent I paid for it!)
Backed up truck, and wings guided hitch right to ball! Hooked ball.
Raised hitch and ball so I could add stabilizer irons on both sides.
Lowered hitch again for travel. Hooked safety chains and breakaway switch. Plugged in lights and brakes plug.
Checked directional signals.
Removed wheel chocks and packed them.
Unscrewed coaxial cable for TV. and stowed it.
Turned off refrigerator for short trip home.
Unplugged electricity and stowed cord in trailer.
Shook out rugs and stowed them.
Packed purse and phone in truck cab, along with one of the TVs.
Checked inside of trailer one more time.
Checked outside of trailer one more time.
Raised steps, and locked front trailer door.
Went forward far enough to get off my leveler blocks, and stowed them in basement along with tongue-jack blocks.
Locked basement door.
Drove to front desk and checked out of KOA...told them I would be back! I love it there!
Drove 14 miles back here, and did everything backwards that I did in the morning! TVs all hooked back up to satellite again.
Fed cat and spent some time with him.
Put clothes in washer.
Mowed lawns.
Put clothes in dryer ----I cheated----didn't have energy enough to hang clothes outside today!
Took a few pics which I will add now.
Then it's into the tub for me and having a few cold beers!

hum....now after seeing how much lawn you had to mow I like my gravel yard better LOL

Nope...no riding mower at this house. I have a Husquevarna self-propelled walk-behind. I covered a lot of steps yesterday after I got unpacked and set up! I forgot to take a picture of the mower, as I was thinking how nice it would be to have a riding mower for this amount of grass. Sigh...another time.

Michelle...that's my geodesic dome the high school engineering class built last year! I bought it and they brought it over here and set it up for me. My plan is to make it a permanent screen shelter....BUT! Trying to figure out how to cover it with screen so it still looks nice has been a problem! My thought is to buy screening, cut it into pie-shaped pieces, start fastening it from the top down with plastic snap-on clamps they sell for pvc piping, and then remove a section from the dome big enough to go through! It sat unused all last year...maybe I'll get to it this year. I still love the looks of it, useful, or not! Suggestions welcome from anyone here!

Plastic! Make it into a greenhouse. When I was in the antiques business one of the coolest booths I ever saw used one of those big mesh satelitte dishes supported on old porch pillers. They put those italian lights all over the roof and it looked great.

Good grief - I have to go take a nap! Funny when you make a list like that of everything you have to do get ready to travel it seems like an awful lot. Good thing you don't think about when you are doing it - you'd never go anywhere.
Great yard. Don't think I'd like mowing it though. DH has a riding mower he calls his Ferrari - even has flames on it.

Originally I was thinking of making the dome into a greenhouse, but the though of having to take care of plants in there turned me off! I use and need screen houses way more than I need a greenhouse. And, either way, picture trying to fit ANY covering on a dome-shaped structure! You can't go around---you can't go over----(you'd have tons of wrinkles and useless material)....you could piece each and every little hexagon with screening or plastic.....using tons of clamps and time and energy. So I am thinking, the largest roll of nylon screening I can get, lay it on the ground, and cut pie-shaped pieces from it staggering the wide and pointy ends, and then beginning at top of dome with pointed ends and clamping down to ground along edges. I will need to experiment and buy a lot of those clamps. I think the fewer the loose edges, the less chance of the covering blowing free of the clamps. I would love a permanent screen room! And one that can be moved around, with about 4 or 5 people lifting it. Three of us moved it from the middle of the lawn where I had it to the place where it now sits. Removing a section for a door to get into the structure will be easy, as all joints are just bolted together.
