Good Morning Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Sunday!

Postby Bethers » Sun Oct 06, 2019 8:23 am

Laying in bed a last few minutes before getting up and on the road. I'll stay two nights in my next location then move for my two nights visiting and sightseeing with Karen. My jello plans then say longer stays and more relaxing. :)

Happy Sunday and here's to vicariously living through each other... Especially Tina right now.

Shirlv, I think I have been channeling your "motto" on the bottom of your posts all day. This driving stuff takes concentration. But because I think I can I have so far made it with the left wheel and tire in tact. When I picked up the car I walked around it with the young man. That left rim has taken many hits. I thought it probably has notches somewhere on the inside to note how many tires have had to be replaced and they just leave the rim as a memorial. I took a lot of pictures yesterday and to day of the Highland around Glencoe and Glenfinnian. The size and scope of this land reminds me most of parts of Alaska.

Glad you posted about your driving and are still there intact!! It does take some getting used to but sounds like you are doing fine.

You are in the area where Harry Potter movies were filmed—gorgeous!! And when all is said and done give us some hotel or B&B recommendations. Also, How is the traveling alone?? Enjoying the freedom or are you bored?

Tina, I admire you for traveling to a foreign country on your own! Loving your blog! I think I waited too late in life to start a big European bucket list.

Just had a text from my granddaughter. She is still in the hospital and doing very well! Has had some real food - first in quite sometime. I do know she had chicken pot pie Friday. :) Thank you for your concern. Only problem now is to figure out how to keep Crohn's in check so she doesn't get in another situation like this.

BFF and I fly out of Seattle 3 weeks from today for European cruise - whole new world for me.

Hi to all, yes i’ Still around tho haven’t checked in for quite a while. Been reading this morning to catch up.
I have not succeeded in getting to my photos on Photobucket. Need to delete some so they will restore the ones I have posted here. Anyone else having problem with this?
I’ve been dealing with record breaking heat wave, a seemingly endless list of repairs and for the past couple of weeks a very sick fur baby. Another test scheduled for Nicky tomorrow. That may determine whether or not a treatment plan can be developed to allow him to have any quality of life. Please keep him in mind with positive thoughts as we struggle thru this time.

Good evening. Travel day for us leaving the Pow Wow behind with another great time. We had lots of good food and lots of laughs. Pow Wow was excellent. We made it to Weed CA tonight. Staying in an RV park at the base of Mt Shasta

The RV park is beautiful. Cable, fast wifi. We will be heading out tomorrow to continue our journey home.

We have a general conference twice a year this weekend was one of them... so watched conference on tv and fixed supper did get my nap in made baked beans we had hamburgers for supper also made 3 bean salad I like it but think it's not a favorite of anyone else... as no one ate any so brought it down to the trailer for someone trying to empty up the fridge so it can all fit in the cooler while being defrosted I am loosing the battle... my furnace is getting me fits tonight.. keeps going off and on with only a moment or two in between... don't know what to do this happens every once in awhile... then runs good for awhile then back to the on and off ... it's annoying that is what it is besides that it's cold out..
when the rv guy makes it back to Q will have him check it out... I am looking forward to not needing heat down there... at least for awhile...

So very very sorry to hear of your sick fur baby. It hurts so much when they are ill. My heart and prayers go out to you.

Sarah, prayers going out for Nicky! It is hard when they get older and more frail.

Karen, did anyone take photos of the Pow Wow and your group? Would love to see that! Glad you had fun!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Karen, loved the photo of Mt. Shasta. Beautiful! One of my favorite volcanoes.

What is the name of the RV park where you stayed?

Thanks!

Barbie. After I got home Friday, I posted about the group, GTG and potluck we had on Friday. I was there for just the day. I imagine the others may post about the Pow Wow on Saturday once they get home. Check the Pow Wow thread in GTGs.

Just got home today. Yes we have pics of the Pow Wow but never had good enough signals to post. I will post some in the next few days. We all took pics and Laura took lots of video so maybe she will post one or two of those.

Anne, it is Friendly RV Park in Weed. Beautiful park, we enjoyed it very much and wished we could have stayed longer. I would love to return there for sure.
