Cloudy Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cloudy Monday

Postby Shirlv » Mon Sep 30, 2019 12:18 pm

Good Afternoon All, Nothing exciting happening in my world. Watching and hoping for the much needed rain in our forecast. Have errands to run and rain won’t stop me. Moisture is good for my complexion. Stopping at the local jewelry store to have a ring evaluated. Publishers Clearing House had hooked my mother with their promises of winning money. When we cleaned out her house there were boxes of junk jewelry that were suppose to be prizes. Mom had mixed her nice pieces in with the junk. One ring caught my eye, can’t believe it is real but....it might be a treasure. Off on a treasure hunt. Safe travels

Hi Shirl and all who follow... or read :P

Wow, wouldn't that be something if you really found a treasure? Fingers crossed for you.

Well finally out of Michigan and into Ohio, about 1/2 hour out of Cleveland. Went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today. So cool with lots of memorable music playing throughout. Once of the best radio stations stations i've heard in a while here too.

Pretty much just hanging out. Will get to a Cuyahoga NP at some point also, but they've got alot of alerts up, so not sure how much I'll actually get to see.

That's it from me. Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon. Been busy with laundry this morning. Getting ready to load the Motorhome tomorrow for our Pow Wow GTG. Still need to go to the store so might do that later today.

Will bring the Motorhome over in the morning to start the fridge (altho it is cold enough outside here lol) and load the clothes and dog supplies. Then will just have the food to load. Won't get it washed this trip too dang cold out for me. Might have to wash the windshield but that is it. Want to go over and fill up with gas, I have 1/2 a tank but gas is super expensive in California so will just gas up here first.

Looking forward to seeing Anne again and then meeting Velda. Sorry the others had to drop out but "stuff" happens.

I won’t be taking the RV to the Pow Wow since I sold it last month, but I will be driving up for a day. So I look forward to seeing you Karen and the others on Friday. Can’t wait!

Clouds off and on here, but no rain. It's only 69 and a week ago it was 100!! I'm starting to organize stuff to load back in van. After previous trip I brought sheets and towels in, washed then put back. Trying to get where it's mostly clothes and food. Looking forward to the get together.
Waiting on pins and needles for my snazzy new laptop to arrive. The old ASUS still runs but wearing out, getting slower and has a key missing. Sure was a good one----10 years ago! Ordered from Costco, as did son in spring, same as his so easy for him to maintain. Hope it's ready to go by Thursday !

Really cooled off here today. The high was only 66. Hard to believe just a few days ago it was so hot.

Well, it never rained, again. I did not find a treasure. It was a 14 carat gold plated ring with a pretty cubic zirconia. I doubted the stone but the gold fooled me. Oh! Well I didn’t need more jewels anyway.

My dad got hooked on the PCH thing too. He had boxes and boxes of stuff he bought from them "just in case" it helped him win! That was how he got started with the whole lottery scam. I think PCH sold his info on a list and he got bombarded with tons of other crap about winning lotteries all over the world which led to the scams he got involved in.

Worked this morning and then stopped at Planet Fitness to check it out. I was pretty impressed, but they had me hooked with the hydro-massage chair! :o  Tried that out for 10 minutes and it was awesome! I signed up. :D Just $1 initiation fee and $22 per month, no contract. Now I think I just have to give 30 day notice at Curves. I stopped there afterward to work out before going home. They weighed and measured me (monthly thing). I lost 3 pounds and lost some body mass again this month. I feel better too.

Lola is insatiable! She went thru 24 cans of cat food in just over a week! That was $60 worth of cat food!!! :o I ordered the dry food again and will see how that goes with the diarrhea issue. Half the price of the canned so will see how long that lasts. Just got the bag today and finished off the last can this morning.

Kept the AC off today until I got home. It is supposed to start warming up again to near 100 later this week. I have tomorrow off so will work on the kitchen since I didn't get to that over the weekend.

Better late than never, right? It's around 40 degrees right now but it'll be lucky to get beyond the mid 30's tomorrow or Wednesday. Supposed to warm up some Thursday... And if all goes well, I'll get on the road Thursday.

Linda and her grand daughter finished up today so it's just me tomorrow and however much of Wednesday I need.

wonder if I will remember in 3 hours to say RABBITS???
thought I would be going to Idaho Falls by myself but sil came by to see if he could go with me had some
places to go we came back with a full truck and all I got was a generator and 5 noodles although that wasn't the term at
Lowes... woke up to no water as the hose froze so hoping that this will kept it from freezing at night but will have to wait until it thaws out again tomorrow as I am sure that it will freeze again tonight... part of the problem is that its now in a shady area so will freeze and stay frozen longer... perhaps next year I will get out of "Dodge" first of Oct... go down to Utah for a month... we will see... Jello right?
so the day was spent with sil shopping I did look at generator's at Lowe's and Home Depot... and on line while waiting for sil still decided to get the Preditor hope I didn't make a mistake
while at home depot saw a gourd that had a round body and a really long neck would have been fun but at 12.50??? I don't think so  Went by it again and it was gone guess someone didn't mind the cost..
When I heard about the death of a goat I had assumed that it was one of the new ones... but it wasn't guess it got his head caught in the fence and then a bale of hay fell on it breaking his neck... it was one of the spring goats so sad though...
felt bad for the sil he took the week off to work on the garage primarily the siding it won't be delivered for a week or two... my grandson is doing the electrical work so waiting for that to get done and inspected before they can put up walls so he got flooring for the upstairs in the house and guess he will be working on that .. a big job just clearing a side of the room to take out the carpet ect. but it will be so nice when it's done..

Barbie if you are abruptly changing Lola's food that might be part of her problem. I always transition any food I decide to change slowly to avoid the GI issues.

It is the same food but just different form, wet to dry. Not sure if that makes a difference. It seems odd that she is eating so much and I can still feel her bones, so she isn't gaining much weight. She just ate some dry food about an hour ago and hasn't asked for more food since then so that is a good sign. Hopefully, that will fill her up more than the canned stuff did.

Barbara, are you certain Lola isn't hyperthyroid ? Mandy was insatiable until after treatment.she also vomited a lot.
