Getting in just under the wire for the day! I think the Morning Coffee turns into Happy Hour and then Last Call, so we cover all different times of the day here! Lol!
(I was gonna write that apparently I am a Last Call girl, but decided that didn't sound right!
)
Got a few things done around here yesterday altho looking at this place, I can't see much difference.
Worked the morning shift til 2pm and stopped at Curves. After that, met up with my neighbors at a Mexican restaurant for our last Wednesday dinner GTG for the summer. I sat with a couple of new ladies I met last week, one who is a snowbird from Minnesota and another who just bought a park model with her hubby recently. Had great conversations with both of them. I am so glad I have been going to these dinners so I could meet these people in a smaller group before the snowbird mass comes in next month or so. Probably over a thousand people will be here for the winter! One of the ladies said the people here really know how to have a good time and it will be party central all winter! Can't wait!
When we left the restaurant, we were greeted by a dust storm blowing thru the valley. Couldn't even see the mountains right behind where I live. I about got blown over on the freeway! That was followed by a thunderstorm and decent rain for a couple hours afterward. More heading this way (from Phoenix!
). They are just about to start seeding the lawns here so this rain will be good to get the ground a little wet for that.
Watched the last episode of the Country Music history documentary. There were 8 episodes, one each night for the past week, but I missed the first 4 before I knew about it. The show I watched last week was an intro to this series. It has been very interesting to watch and learn a lot more about all the people who started and changed country music over the years.
Good night!
