Chilly Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Chilly Thursday

Yep I'm in long sleeves and leggings and wearing a sweatshirt or raincoat over today. Tomorrow the sun and low 70's are returning.

This afternoon I'm heading for Ty's annual vet visit. Then we are going to, unless storms come through, drive through Custer SP for a final time this year.

I had laid out shorts and a t-shirt this morning because it is supposed to be 84 today. But i got up early for a doctor's appt, and it was 52 outside, so I switched the shorts for some longer pants and added a jacket. However, when I ran my errands and returned my rental car, it had warmed up, even though it is still cold in my motorhome because I am in the shade. However, the sun will soon be approaching, so I put my long pants away and got the shorts out again. Sheeeesh! Have no idea what to wear these days.

Got to finish my last handful of final exams and turn in grades. Then I will do my little end-of-the-semester dance. :D Problem is that I had to open my fall class yesterday, so I have a whole new bunch of about 60 students--and we are all optimistic at the start of the new semester!! So far, only the syllabus is open. I have lots of changes to make to this new class--changes in assignments and moving things around to level the weekly work I and my students have now that we dropped two small assignments and added one new one.

Onward!!!!!!!

I typically fill my propane tanks as they run out but when I took the one in was informed that it needed to be recertivied so my thoughts was (this was probably in June) that since I got both of them with the trailer the other one probably needs to be as well but it was a full tank didn't know if they would work on a full tank so as its gotten colder and I've had to use the buddy I literally ran it all day to late in the night... ran out last night so today took them hopefully to the right place and hopefully they will do the work sooner than later... we have a larger tank that the appliances including the furnace are hooked up to the buddy is just on the smaller tanks. I hate using the furnace it is so loud.. never have figured out how to get the fireplace fixed can't afford to replace it right now other things more important but I think that I will look into some other means of heating for the winter this is a smaller buddy (although not the smallest) and is just not enough ... but will have to wait until I have some of the other more important things taken care of... like a generator...
went to town surprising what I can spend in a small town....
my grandson will be leaving tomorrow to return to army life... need to get myself out of bed and functioning before they leave

Nothing too big happening today. Worked til 2pm, stopped at WM and PetSmart to pick up a few items, then home. Am now refrosting my hair. I just didn't like the results last week. Not light enough so am doing it again. Hopefully, my hair won't be too damaged and all break off!

Tomorrow will just be getting ready for the trip to Phoenix. Clean out the car and get it washed. Load up the ferret stuff, pack, get Lola's stuff packed. I bought her a new harness but she doesn't like it (too bulky for her little body) so will try to find a more comfortable one for her tomorrow. I need to have a harness on her at the motel room so I can attach a leash to it in case she goes under or behind the bed to hide. I can then pull her out with the leash. Can't do that with a collar.

Warming up again for the weekend and will be about the same in Phoenix. The only problem with having my windows open at night, is that I sneeze the next day, so there is either dust blowing in and/or something I am allergic to. Need to get the stuck windows fixed when I get back.

I had a customer who wanted her hair shampooed and styled. I am not very good at styling but I started on it. She wasn't happy with what I was doing and asked if my manager could finish it. I was more than happy to let her do that! The lady felt guilty for asking and said I gave her an awesome shampoo. I guess we can't be good at everything! My manager whipped out her style in no time and it looked awesome. I didn't get many requests for styles (at least not in MN) so I just don't have much experience with that.

Just waiting for my hair to lighten up enough here so I can get to bed soon...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Yesterday at about 5:00 p.m. it was 102 at my house. The previous day it topped out at 101. I can't wait for cool weather.

Maybe it's coming. Just looked at the forecast, chance of rain predicted for Monday, with a high of 73!

Oh, Anne, I hope you get the rain and the cool down. Predictions are for 90 here Monday. :o Go figure. But supposed to be only into the 60's again by next Thursday.
