Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sept. 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Postby Colliemom » Sun Sep 01, 2019 6:33 am

Morning all. Time for the monthly check n. Hoping to hear from those of you who haven’t posted in awhile.

Nothing new hear. Heading for church in awhile, then home and going down to the small village of Waters here for the “Thunder Over Waters” festival. Fun little festival to close out the summer. Thry have a Pancake/Sausage breakfast, Craft show, Parade, Games for the kids, Bike Giveaway, Cornhole tournament etc. and then tonight there will be fireworks. Lot of folks come from around the area, so I always see somebody I know. Will spend some time down there and then come home and finish attaching g the plexiglass to bottom half of my trailers screen door so I can put it back on the trailer.

Have a wonderful day, those in FL and along the east coast, keep an eye on Dorian. It can’t seem to make up it’s mind where it wants to go.

Good Morning to All - For the first time ever I remembered to say Rabbits - Went to bed at 12:30 said it then and again this morning when I woke up. We are still in Guernesy, Wy at the Trail Ruts Camp;ground. I highly recommend it if you stop in this area. Pretty little place. Lots of history around here.Foggy again this morning and going to be a pretty warm day. In the 90's somewhere. Tomorrow might reach 100. Guess we wont be doing too much as the car has no AC. Tuesday we are headed to Medicine Bow, WY - Bill is a big fan of the old TV series The Virginian. The man who wrote the book lived in Medicine Bow. Then on to...?? But kind of heading towards home slowly now.
Remember to back up your computers if you use one.
Bill was going to fly his drone over the Oregon Trail - but the National Guard base here has jamming equipment so it wouldn't even lift off the ground.

Mornin' Sue, Carol & all that follow~~~

All is good here. Sitting one county short of Door County WI with Eileen. Did a bit of sightseeing yesterday in this county. By next Sunday I'll be in the UP for a week and then will be working my way down Michigan's mitten.

Not much else. Doing a load of laundry and had 4 sandhill cranes fly over. So the stay of a good day.

Good morning Everybody, all is well in Connecticut. The weather has been beautiful, but we are all watching the approaching storm. Tomorrow I leave on a five day bus trip to Toronto, Canada with my buddies from the Senior Wellness Center where I do aerobics. I’ve never been to Toronto, but I’ve heard what a wonderful city it is, so it should be fun. Enjoy today and be kind to each other. Peggy

Morning all!

I did not remember rabbits when the building fire alarms went off at 4am, another false alarm and I was crashed again by 4:45! Rainy today and not much planned other than laundry. I’m working Wed/Thur/Sat/Sun this week so just relaxing and running errands until then.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning All, Checking in and did say rabbits. I get so upset with the news and feel so helpless. The only thing I could think of to do is react in a positive way to everyone I meet. Hold the door, a big smile, compliment their children even if I get a frown in return, which I haven’t. If one person walks away from me feeling better about the country then I am doing my part. Sorry about the vent but Peggy’s be kind caused it. :D Since moving to an apartment with an elevator I have gotten flabby and out of breath. Started using hand weights and walking the stairs. I needed larger weights so went shopping. The expression “use it or lose it” has been “ use it and hurt it “for me. Bought two 8 lb hand weights, put them in the child seat to take to the car. One worked its way to the little leg hole, fell out, hit the ground on end and ricocheted off my shin. Ice is my friend. Safe travels.

Good morning everyone! Ouch, Shirl. I remembered rabbits! We are in Williams AZ for a few more day. This is a lovely area and the elevation here is almost 6800 feet. We drove some of Route 66 yesterday and are hoping to do some more driving around today. Yesterday evening we had dinner with the daughter of our priest in Ocala and her hubby at a lovely steak restaurant here in town and the meal was wonderful. Tomorrow we are taking the train back to the Grand Canyon which is a 2-1/2 hour trip one way, so we're looking forward to that. The following day we have an appointment in Flagstaff to put our car in shop and we need to find a Walgreens to fill a prescription. Enjoy your day!

Hi travel pals! I’ve been reading for the past few weeks, no travel or other fun for me due to a disk injury. Can you say cabin fever?!? Your posts are most appreciated! My list of places to visit just gets longer though. ;) Best for a great September.

Good morning everyone! I hadn’t spoken to anyone yet when I opened the forum and saw the reminder so declared Rabbits to my curious cat!
Headed to church in a couple hours. Going to Instant Pot some Beef chunks to add bbq sauce to later. Other than keeping watch on the fridge temp sensor in the van, not my ch planned after church.
Thus week will have a lot of thoughts about the one year mark since Mel’s death Sept 5 last year.

I remembered Rabbits about 12:20 last night but don't remember if I had talked to one of the cats before that. I talked to the lady that has the land next to me the other day. She is a widow and had to put her dog down a few months ago. She said she wanted to talk to someone so she came to talk to the cows. At least I have all the cats to talk to. They keep me busy feeding and breaking up fights. For some reason Mr P doesn't like Frosty and if he can corner Frosty somewhere the screaming begins. The sick kitten is still eating and drinking but I can tell she doesn't feel good. She is in a big cage with the door open but she mostly sleeps on the pet bed. There is a big, soft bed and she seems to like it a lot.

Diana, sorry to hear you have an injury.

No big plans for today. The guy that has the cows here cut the grass around the barn with the tractor for me yesterday so I can mow it lower. If it doesn't rain again I will try to mow later when it cools off some.

I have a campout on the 12th so looking forward to that. It's near my sister so she will come meet me. I haven't seen her since we camped the weekend of the Kentucky Derby. I guess I could go to the lake but they have drawn the lake down about 8 feet to work on the spillway. I don't know how the fishing would be. My sister said we could walk out and pick up all the lures and bobbers we have lost. lol

I said Rabbits right at midnight. Got up for church this morning. I really like this church! I could listen to the minister all day. He is so funny, dynamic (in an amusing way), and has great messages that really resonate with me.
Then stopped at the mall across the street. I had heard they had booths set up inside with Etsy stuff of local artists/crafters. Well, there were only about 6 booths and nothing much I was interested in. I did pick up some Cinnabon rolls to bring home with me.

Got my new laptop so am all set up with that. Will do some more work around here and then start on the on-line course for work that needs to be done before Tuesday's class. I was right across the street from work this morning and I meant to stop and pick up my equipment for the class, but forgot. Will have to go back there to pick that up.

Haven't checked on Dorian lately. Hope she is moving away from land.

Martha, maybe your neighbor lady needs a kitty?
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I did say rabbits at midnight. Hope it works.

Last night was the final night for one employee. He pulled out late this morning. He's heading to his daughters where she is due to give birth to his first grandchild. He'll miss our employee appreciation dinner Tuesday night. But we all understood.

Other than time here and there at the store I've also done laundry today and reorganized one of my cabinets. Now Ty and I will take a walk and check in at the store again.

Good Evening, I am in Oregon. A little north of Klamath Falls, and a little south of Bend. They call this a sno Park. I would call it a Forest Service Park. I am on my way to the wedding of my oldest grand son. Love his bride.
The trip has been very easy going. Around 200 miles each day. I am very tired after driving .
Had a nice visit with Velda in Sacramento.
I spent last night with a “Boondockers Welcome” couple who live in Redding. The fire raged all around their home, but spared their house.
I remembered “rabbits” this morning!!!
Judy, I spent one night a Hensley Lake...very nice camp ground.
Tomorrow, I will be at COE LePage.
