How do you post a link?

I tried the a href="URL" type link, and it doesn't "take" in here. We can post a URL using the [url][/url] protocol, but I'd like to be able to do regular links. I'd appreciate some suggestions.

Janice, not sure what you're asking, but if you just type in http://www.womenrv.com it will highlight when you submit. You can copy from your address bar at the top of your screen then paste it here as well.

OK, this forum uses something called bb code. Without going into detail:

As Jill stated, if you type in the entire url as she did - or even without the http:// - http://www.womenrv.com will suffice and work.

If you want different text with the url, copy the url to your computer. Then type in the phrase you want to link to it. So let's say the url is

http://www.womenrv.com - copy that to your computer

Now type in what you want to have be the highlighted text:

Women RV

Now highlight Women RV and click on the URL in the options above this box.

Now it will look like this (but without the space I put in to demonstrate):

[ url]Women RV[/url]

Go into the first [ url] and right after the l in url - type
=
and then paste in the url you want.

Now what you'll have (without the space is)

[ url=http://www.womenrv.com]Women RV[/url]

and doing it without the space you'll get:

Women RV

I think that sounds complicated but it's really easy- just trying to really break it down as it is different.
