It’s Tuesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Tuesday!

Postby Othersharon » Tue Aug 20, 2019 11:34 am

It’s just after noon here and it’s shaping up to be a hot and muggy day! I haven’t been able to get outside until much later in the afternoon so I’ve been concentrating on doing things inside. I do need to go out and run the air in Lola for awhile if for nothing else then to pull out the dampness. I managed to get her all cleaned up last week after my trip so we’re all ready for the next adventure. Cheryl, if you decide to come through PA I’m pretty much in the center of the state between
I-80 and 99 and always welcome meeting up! Although finding open parks that time of year is a bit problematic. Most close down by end of September. Some of the commercial parks stay open longer. Weather is iffy that time of year. Snow and freezing temps are not uncommon. Hard to believe we’re this far into August already! Where do the days go? Need to get back to my latest project so will just wish you all a great day and travel safe.

Got my stent removed and feel 200% better! X-rays of kidneys and ureters also looked good, so hopefully, I will be stone-free for a year. Heading to Eagle Lake in California, and then to Napa to visit kids.

Summer is winding down, so hopefully the hot weather will abate soon. I hate to say I look forward to winter, but I will certainly welcome fall. Also, I am looking forward to spending next winter in Florida. If anyone is around, December through April, let me know. Will post my schedule when it is firmed up.

Sheila, what are banana bread brownies?? Sounds yummy!! Do you have a recipe you can share please? :D

Worked again today. One of the guys I work with is gay and he likes to have a gay radio station playing. A lot of it is the DJ's talking about LGBT issues which I can deal with, but this morning, I was doing a haircut on an older woman and all of a sudden they started talking about personal experiences having gay sex on airplanes!!! :o I finally had to excuse myself to go in the office and change the station. I am sure my client was relieved I did that. My co-worker never said anything luckily, but that is just not good for anyone to listen to, especially in a public place.

I stopped at Curves after work, then headed home. Another really hot day at 115*. More of the same tomorrow and then cooling off a bit.

Tonight I finally frosted my hair. Turned out good but could have been a tad lighter. I just get nervous about leaving the bleach on too long.

Been having issues with my right elbow. Not sure if it is a muscle problem or joint problem. I am trying not to put much pressure on it when working out so as not to strain it, but I have some pain when cutting hair. May have to get it looked at if it doesn't get better.

Looks like there is a buyer for my dad's old house already. The listing has been removed.

Off to bed, Have to get up for work early again tomorrow, and then meeting the neighbors after work for dinner.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
