Saturday without sun

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday without sun

Postby asirimarco » Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:42 am

Good Morning to All - we are still on the road. Today is gray and gloomy and cold - we left Vegas to get a way from the heat but this is too much. Only 49 out and high today will be 65. Poor 'Bill is freezing and our furnace won't run on the weak power here. So using it on propane.
We are in White Sulphur Springs, MT. Beautiful ride here through Lewis and Clark Forest. We're here to find the 90 barn quilts in the area. So far have found 23 of them.

There is a loop route from town that goes by all of them and a lot of historic buildings and art works. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm...
We've been to Craters of the Moon, Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier and several cute interesting little towns. Still have a long way to go and lots to see. I'm so far behind in my blog I need a couple of days with nothing to do but sort pictures. Heading towards Wyoming, SD and back to Wyoming and then south. Lots of pictures on the blog. http://travelinginrvandlivinginlasvegas.blogspot.com/
So far trip has been enjoyable and fun.
To all of you traveling safe journey. And enjoy life no matter what you are doing.

Morning, Carol. That’s pretty chilly for folks used to Las Vegas temps!

My back is finally cooperating and I get to go for a swim today, I’m so excited! Need to be 100% for the new job. :D

Carol, sounds like an awesome trip you are on! Love the photos so far!

Mickey, what kind of job did you find? Good luck on that one.

Just had breakfast and will be heading to Curves in a bit.

I met my new neighbor this morning. It is actually a single older lady with an older Shitzu dog. She is having her shed removed today so they can build a larger deck with a ramp for her scooter. I wish I had room to take her shed. I could use the extra storage space! I was gonna use the space next to her shed and mine, for a little container garden area, but now that will look odd, so will have to figure something else out. I wish I could move my shed forward towards the street more to give me more patio space in back but my lot is kind of pie shaped and moving it would put it almost right up against the end of my steps so that won't work. I had thought about moving my steps but that would involve hiring someone and would be costly.

Hope I get some energy and motivation after my workout to get something done around here. Have been really lazy lately.

Have a good day! :D

Barbie - I was hired at the local park district tennis center to work the front desk part time. It’s only open September to May so I’ll still get the summers off!

Mickie, that job sounds perfect. And hi everyone! This picture showed up on FB today. I do love the otters. It says this was 7 years ago... And it was, but it's really hard for me to believe my first trip to Alaska was 10 years ago. Remember Liz and Carol? Time does fly so enjoy as much as you can!

Went to Curves and then WM to get some food. Came home and the neighbors shed is gone. Unfortunately, I had some stuff piled up behind it, in front of my shed and now it is all just out there in the open. So I guess I have another project to take care of right away before someone complains!

Carol, 65 or even 49 sounds pretty good to me right now. My RV site is in the afternoon sun and it doesn't cool off until the sun goes down. There isn't much going on because it's too hot to sit outside so most of the ladies are shopping or touring. I'm in Natchitoches. I went to school here and was here last year so have just about seen it all. When I got ready to leave Thursday I found my coach batteries dead and my refrigerator was working on electricity. The batteries would charge from the engine. Everything is running off electricity so I'm not going to mess with it until I get home. The satellite works but I couldn't get the over the air antenna to work. I messed with it until I found a fuse that reset it when I pulled the fuse. I don't think it's still working like it should. Every time I pick my RV up from the shop I'm going to make an appointment because in a month it's going to be something else.

I like my new travel computer. I think they are getting smarter. lol It seems to learn the things I want to do.

We have a catered meal tonight and I will be ready to go home in the morning. I don't think I'll make plans to go camping in August again.

I am achy and still having some bleeding, so I took a Norco before I went to bed and slept a long time. I just took a half of one about an hour ago and can barely stay away. Think I need to get some caffeine in me to help me stay awake. Or I will be back in bed again. Once I get this stent out, I will have less pain and can stop taking pain meds. Just too uncomfortable to do that right now.

Got work to do, so can't just sleep all day, even if I wanted to sleep all day!
