Friday and stormy

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday and stormy

Good morning!

Had my annual eye appointment yesterday and doc says it’s time to have my cataracts removed (too many years lifeguarding without sunglasses). I start my new part time job on Monday so I’ll put it off a while.

Hope all is well with everyone here.

Just got back from Josef's Chiropractor appointment. Only a minor adjustment this time. Thought that I would have him checked before the rest of the month's dog shows started. The last two times I noticed that his body movement was off was when he was actually at a dog show and in the ring. Not much one can do about it at that time. I called it a "wellness" check up. Getting ready to Dremel some doggy nails and then head up to Columbus to set up for the weekend's shows. Josef's bath will wait until tonight. He did seem jealous that Lark got to have hers yesterday. Silly boy.

Have a great..... (Your choice; fill in the blank.)

Good morning
Got test results back from routine bloodwork, only one number high on borderline diabetic and 2 numbers high on cholesterol. Just keep up watching what i eat. Im happy with that. ! :-)
Still suffering this awful heat but each dsy it gets 2 degrees cooler. Not much differance between 113 and 111. Haha, as long as it keeps going down, eventually i will be happy. Lol

Ava, I agree! Once it gets over 110, it is all just horribly hot! :o I am hoping September starts heading down some! Even if the evenings would drop into the 70's, it would be nice to sit out on my porch.

Slow day at work. The haircut sale starts tomorrow but I have the weekend off. I told my manager that if it gets crazy busy, to call me. I don't have any real plans all weekend. Just cleaning and other stuff that I would be more than happy to put off for another day or two!

I stopped at the big library in Palm Desert after work and ended up checking out 12 books and buying 3 more from the bookstore. That library doesn't label their shelves by subject either, but they do have self-checkout machines.

I weighed Lola this morning after finding my bathroom scale. She was 5.6 lbs at the vet a couple weeks ago and she is up to 6.4 lbs now, so that is good.

Have a good one! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Yeah, Barbie, I do agree with you there. It was 110 here yesterday, 109 today. But, you know, at least it is a "dry" heat.

These are normal, every-day, summer temps for us "Out West" ladies. It is sometimes difficult for some folks to understand how uncomfortable these kinds of temps really are ("dry heat" or no) if you are not living them yourself, every single day, with no respite.

As I like to say to folks who say it’s a dry heat... so’s my oven but I don’t like to hang out in there.

I have not been feeling well lately--mostly just really tired and out of energy. I suspect it is due to the kidney stone surgery on Monday and all the blood I have lost over the last few days. Mostly, the bleeding has stopped, but just setting up my RV in a new campground and vacuuming today wore me out. Had to sit every few minutes to catch my breath. I still have a stent, or tube, from my left kidney to my bladder. I had passed my kidney stone, but they found that my ureter was scarred and narrowed where the stone had been. The presence of the stent, along with having them go in there and unblock my scared ureter, caused all the bleeding. This was not helped by my low platelets. Platelets are slowly improving, but still not normal. I am going to try to get to bed early tonight. I took an iron pill a couple of days ago and need to take another one today.

I had crunched my bathroom door by putting the slide in without shutting the door, so today I had to go to the REV.Fleetwood factory service place to get it repaired. At least it works now, which is especially important since I am having company in a couple of weeks. Cost me less than a couple of hours of labor, which was a nice surprise!

Got work to do tonight, so have to eat something now.

Having lived in MN, the humidity does make a big difference. If we had high humidity with temps over 100, we would all die.

back in Idaho... long drive longer than it needed to be.. usually when in Idaho Falls I am not driving. so I head up this street went to far so turned north then west then north and found a highway that I recognized the number of so took it it is further but I avoided the construction... and dd beat me home  I was suppose to pick up something for them from Home Depot while I was waiting turned around and there was my daughter... she was in the electrical dept... then I went to Lowe's to get another big item called back to see they needed to put anything else in the back of the truck.. nope we are good... so I left on my scenic route... which it is in many ways much prettier than the fastest but was so tired that I didn't want scenic
I did get my lime rickey though!!! remembered as I was going through Pocatello that there was a Arctic Circle there so got me one. dd had gotten me one while in Ogden but it wasn't from Arctic Circle and just wasn't quite as good..... stopped at the shop where I get my truck serviced had a couple of questions... when I had had it in for the A/C repair I'd asked them to check and see if they could fix the plug in to the 5th wheel.. so it would charge the batteries in the 5th wheel...they misunderstood couldn't find a problem with the batteries.. so I stopped and nephew was there... so showed him where the problem was he thinks it was a fuse that was dead... replaced it... we won't know until it's tested though... but am thinking that it will be ok
Just got word that a good friend in Q husband died an hour ago... wish I could go down but it would be an almost 2000 mile trip (round trip) ... one I will be making in just a couple of months anyway...
I still need to find a generator... wish that it could be fixed...
don't know what tomorrow will bring other than some laundry
night all
