Good morning Everybody, Just want you to know how much I appreciate having a group of friends throughout the entire United States who care about each other. Nothing much happening here; just picking up some paint so my son can finish touching up the spots where it’s peeling. Enjoy today and keep in touch. PeggyinCT

Awww Peggy, you are so thoughtful. And I can even hear your soft, kind voice. Maybe from your words will remind others that sometimes just being there is enough.

Good mornin' Peggy, Tina and all that follow~~~

I couldn't agree more Peggy. Nice to know the ladies are here for some support if needed as well as spur of the moment GTGs and campfire stories.

Tina I always look forward to you posts here, on FB and of course your blog. You write eloquently with just the right mix of poetry and whimsy. And the furkids write pretty well too!

Spent the first night in the new TT that was not in Camp Dad's Driveway. Everything seems to be working well (knock on wood) and think it's actually the hose from the propane regulator that's the problem, not the valve as originally thought. Adventure RV and CW are both within 20 miles from here so I'll get one.

Nothing else new here other than being a lump sitting on the patio and maybe figuring out where to head towards in October after Ohio.

Have a good day ladies. Stay safe, healthy and happy wherever you are.

Good morning all,
I agree, thanks Peggy, for opening up today with what so many of us feel.
Having kind & caring friends scattered through out the country is such a blessing - even to those of us who aren't in RVs at the moment.
This is such a great bunch of women & each of you are appreciated.

Other than our GTG in KS years ago, I've met & seen more of you since I've moved out West. So keep on swinging by & touch base - grabbing lunch or an evening out is always welcomed. Plus I have an extra bedroom if needed. :) And someday I'll be retired & will have full days open for fun!

I just cut the cord from cable TV last night. Have rokus set up on the TVs - it's not the same, but I'm tightening things down for eventual retirement. I've been with TimeWarner/Spectrum for years. Still have their internet & after 30 days of no TV service I can get their streaming service at a discount for the next 2 years- thats IF I decide I need it. Maybe I'll decide I don't. :)

That's about it - enjoying some cooler temps today. Might even get by without A/C.
Take care,
Catherine

Catherine, you can probably get one of the flat over-the-air antennas and pick up a lot of stations if you are in a big city. It seems like every station will have 3 or 4 channels. I never watch movies so got rid of the movies on Direct and the bill is still $130. There is not much on that I want to watch so it ends up on the Weather Channel a lot.

Peggy, I feel the same way about our friends on the Forum. I feel like I could go from coast to coast and be near someone.

It has already rained today and looks like it could rain again.

Cheryl, hope you don't have any more "incidents" in your travels.

Cloudy here today. Some rain in the mountains but none here. But the clouds will keep it a little cooler. It officially got to 121* yesterday. Crazy hot! Cooler now for awhile at around 110*.

My handyman showed up to remove the shelf above the toilet tank so I can access that if needed. I will need to paint that area now once I can match the paint. Then I have a new mini cabinet/shelf that I will put up under the window above the toilet that should look nice and still leave room to get access to the tank.

So far, Lola seems fine with the dry food and she can eat whenever she is hungry and not be meowing at me for more every 15 minutes. Will be easier too for leaving her overnight tomorrow night. I need to pick up some more litter so I can put out another litter box for her.

Time to get ready for work... have a good day!

Good Evening Peggy and all. Loved what you said Peggy. It’s always been my feeling too, that no matter I travel in this country somebody will be there if I need help or just to stop and visit. Tina, I agree withwith Cheryl, you do indeed have a gift for words. Many of us sometimes are lost at trying to word something, but you always seem to be able to fill in the gap.

I’m back down from the tip of Keweenaw Peninsula. Currently west of Marquette, have been for 3 days, not doing anything earth shattering. We are going to be heading south east tomorrow for Fayette State Park. Going down for their Heritage Day on Saturday. Friends from the U.P. Will be joining us there. Cell service is zilch there, but they do have limited WiFi at the Visitor Center.

So just wanted to touch base here. Catch ya all later.

Peggy, I so agree. I hope new members stick around and find this out, too.

I'm in disbelief that in a couple days Sturgis will be winding down and things will slow down way too fast. And then the season will be ending. I do look forward to heading south and having relaxation time, though. So it's good, also.

have noticed hmmm never leave the start of a sentence  now I have to figure out what I was going to say oh yes
I have noticed several motorcycles didn't know if they were coming or going... think I know now... there has been a post on FB that has been going around where it strings out January February and March then groups AprilMayJune together then AUGUST it is so true this summer has gone so quickly soon I will need to start packing stuff up and head to AZ I am hoping that next Fall I will take a longer trip to get to it... but don't hold me too it...
I am a creature of habit...
right now I am staining my treasure chest hoping I am getting it dark enough... it's frustrating that it doesn't stain the same all over... this is the second coat and probably the last we will see in the daytime...
years ago my grandson started dating a girl actually she is several years younger than him pretty much was jail bait but she wormed her way into everyone's lives and has stayed there even though they are no longer a couple... she graduated this year and is off to college so there was a farewell party tonight...her favorite food and movies and cuddles with her adopted second mom... but unlike most college students that will return home her mom is moving to NV and her dad is moving somewhere (they've not been a couple for as long as I've known her he just waited to move till she was in college) so the likely hood of seeing her again is slim. Will miss her didn't want to hug her goodbye cause I didn't want her to start crying but I am wishing her the very best always..
think I won't be going down to Utah till Thurs... dd's car is fixed except there is a wobble in the tire so think she is taking my truck to work and we will get her car down to the local tire shop...
will feel better about it just hope he can get it fixed so she will have her car on Thursday
Martha watches the weather station my go to is the ID channel ... blood and gore but it's sound...
thank you all for being on the forum so enjoy it.... and then when I get to meet someone it's always so special

My go-to channel is HGTV or TLC.

Here is the FB post Sheila was referring to. So true!
