Last Sunday of July

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Irmi, I'm sure you are stressing. All I can say is do what you need to do to de-stress and if that means splitting up, do so. Your health is too important to do otherwise.

Gilroy, location of the annual garlic festival, is 80 mi south of San Francisco. Shooter dead, along with reportedly 3 more plus 15 injuries. Know more in morning I suspect.
Been a very HOT Sunday, reaching 110 for a while and still 80 at midnight! Stayed in with AC.

Irmi, I definitely agree with Beth, no reason to be stressed out when you don’t have to be. Hope you can move on and find some relaxation ASAP.

Irmi, they say you never really know someone until you travel with them. Nothing wrong with changing plans and splitting up. Your trip should be enjoyable not stressful. Hopefully you can part soon while you are all still friends.

I think it "only" got up to 108 here at my house yesterday afternoon, a bit "cooler" than I anticipated. I generally take Big Joe for about a 1/2 hour - 45 minute walk about 8:30 p.m. every night (I walk with a flashlight and a reflective vest).

Last night when I opened the front door and looked at the thermometer on my front porch, it was still 95 degrees. I can walk at 90 degrees, but 95 is past my limit, so we didn't walk last night.

I think it will be a bit cooler today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday).

I hope.

I agree with everyone, Irmi. You don't want to let someone ruin your trip! Go your separate ways and get back to enjoying your adventure! Life is too short to spend time with people like that especially on vacation!

I also agree that you learn a lot about people when you travel with them! There is no room to hide anything, good or bad!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
