HI Mary, so nice you could join us over here! You'll be hitting the road again in no time. Isn't that hitch-itch a terrible disease? Check out the thread on our GTG coming up in Texas on Nov. 3rd. Maybe that will coinside with your travels west.

Our Sami dog is a black and white cocker. People often tell us they've never seen one that color. We camped once where her twin was on another site. She doesn't really have a twin, but darned if they didn't look almost the same! Us and the other owners took lots of pics, but I can't seem to find one to post right now.

Ain't it great. Looks like Mary'sDream is about to become reality. Can't change your name though because you will be living that dream. :D :D :D And we will be dreaming along with you as we read about your travels and see the pics. See you "on the road". carold

Welcome Mary, glad you joined us. Pass the word, ok?

I remember reading forum posts and dreaming about future adventures...that was half the fun. The other half is actually living them, as I am doing now (although not full time). Just keep planning and I look forward to hearing about your dreams-come-true.

Hi Mary! Glad to see you. And of course, I hope that you travel through TX so that we can see each other again. It would be especially great if you could plan to do so during the gtg, as mentioned already. But whenever you drive through, let me know so that we can plan to see each other if at all possible.

When you find the right new furbaby for you, you'll know it :)

Hi Mary and welcome!
I noted you visited a shelter looking for a new fur baby and there were two Standard Poodles. I can just imagine the look they had. I've had 4 Standards as companions over the years and can't say enough about what wonderful dogs they are, they are also great watch dogs but are very gentle. I'm convinced they actually read your mind! I know everyone has their favorite breeds, I've also had Westies, Irish Setters and Havanese over the years but the Standards have my heart. So guess this is just a vote to give them a second look.
Happy trails!!
