Changing Lots in Benson

The past couple weeks have been crazy. Extra hours at the store and at the same time having to fight the bank to get my own money timely to change lots in Benson. So right now, hopefully for no more than a couple weeks, I own two lots at my Escapee park. The new one is only behind the current and over one space, but will have a better view and will always have a view. It is a bit more expensive, as the casita is a little bigger and has a bathroom with shower, hookups for a washer and dryer and a wall a.c. unit. I may never add a washer dryer, but the shower and a.c. will come in handy if the day ever comes where I'm staying there longer. Meantime I'll enjoy my view more when I am there.

An employee at the park and her husband moved all my things between casitas for a very reasonable price. Now the city and the co-op both need to inspect my first casita and see if I need to do (or in this case, have anything done) before the park can put it up. There are more than a couple hundred people on a waiting list, so it will be sold within two weeks of it being allowed to sell... Then I will get some money back... Which will make me feel less poor.

That’s exciting Beth. I agree about the bathroom w/shower and A/C. Plus having a nicer view will be great. Wonderful you could get the change accomplished without having to be there. All those will make for more pleasurable longer stays in the future. Congrats!

Good for you! Having a shower, AC, and washer hookups all coming with a nice view? What's not to like. Who knows, in the future you might want a washer and dryer so it's handy to have that option. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. It seems silly to have this lot to me sometimes. I'm still not sure where I'd like to be if I quit, or slowed down, traveling. But I worry about being forced into it and like having this safety net. And it's such a popular park always with a waiting list to purchase sites that I'd never have trouble selling if that became a decision, either. All said, like you've mentioned, I'm thrilled I'll always have nice a mountain view and the bathroom is a bonus. And who knows about those connections LOL

Well, my old lot passed city inspections and the park inspections and is available to current lease holders this week. I don't expect one of them to take it, but you never know. However, next week it'll go up to the wait list.. And within a couple weeks after that my bank balance will be healthier again.
