Great pictures Sandi,
I did a whale boat thing out of moss landing by Monterrey bay. Saw lots of whales and the captain had an underwater device to find them so he knew where to take the boat. I didn't get sick and actually that was something I never even thought of when I booked it.

I never get seasick--------at least that was what I told people until I went whale watching!

Instance #1 - Went with son, his wife, and two kids out of Monterey, CA, about three years ago. All of us were miserable because water was so rough, they were not allowing anyone to stand or walk on deck. I sat on the rear deck leaning my back against the metal cabin with two sick kids laying their heads on my lap. Saw one whale tail fluke in three hours of seasickness. Kids swear they will never go on another whale watching trip!

Instance #2 - Two years ago went with two high school friends out of Port Townsend in Olympic Peninsula. No one else got seasick, but I had a horrible time. Had to pay $5 on board for two seasickness pills, but it did not help much. Did see some whales, however. Was glad to get back on shore.

That is so cool! What a great experience! I need to do that one of these days.

I tend to get motion sickness too. I went out to Catalina Island several years ago and brought some Bonine with me for the boat ride. But the water was calm as glass out there and I had no issues. Did see some dolphins too. However, I decided to take a bus tour up to the top of the mountain out there to see the airport, and that ride was awful, with lots of switchbacks! Luckily the driver stopped half-way up to let us stretch our legs, and I still had the box of Bonine in my purse. By that time I was green and ready to hurl! Took the Bonine and 20 minutes later when we got back on the bus, I was fine. Otherwise they would have had to leave me there and pick me up on the way back down! Was so glad I had that with me!

I had a job one summer to clean boats. One boat I cleaned was large with a cabin below. It was very windy that day with lots of big waves rocking the boat back and forth at the dock. I had to keep running up on the dock to keep from getting sick! (it was spring and it didn't help any that they had left food in the fridge over the winter! Nasty! :o )
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
