EARLY WEEKEND THURSDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

EARLY WEEKEND THURSDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Thu May 21, 2009 4:11 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!!

This is my last day of school until next Wednesday, because we have tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday off! As I'll be camping at the KOA until Tuesday at noon, and I intend to sleep in, if possible! (At least a later than 4:30 which is my regular get-up time!)

Most of us are doing something to celebrate the weekend. The Floridians are nearly swamped with all the rain they are suddenly getting after a very bad drought, so they may be restricted in what they can do. The rest of us on the east coast might have a half-way decent weekend weather-wise.

It's 44 F. here this morning, and forecast to get into the 80s today! YIPPEE!! My stuff is all packed, my stabilizer supports are all cranked up on the trailer, and I am ready to unplug and hitch up as soon as I get back from school this afternoon. I am so excited to be taking my first voyage to a campground this year. I will be coming back here at least every other day to check up on Twitch, my cat, as he will be very lonely and he's very old. It's a short hop over the shoulder of Whiteface Mountain to get here from the campground, so that won't be a problem. I saw yesterday that the price of gas jumped up from 2.47 to 2.51 yesterday morning, however. What's up with that?

Hope you have a great time, Cedar, and maybe can stay in touch with us if you find a stray WiFi, as you said last night. If not, we'll see you when you get back!

The rest of you who are readying for a campout, I wish you a GREAT time! Let us know about it and take lots of pics!!

I'm off to the bathtub to get in a good soak as my trailer has no water in it yet.....after all, our overnight temps have been in the 20s a lot recently.

Happy weekend to you all, and stay in touch. The coffee is hot now, and if you look around, you might find some snacks somewhere, hidden from my view, that Barb left for us!

Barb, I hope we hear from you soon, as we will be wondering and hoping for a fast recovery for you.

Happy travels!

Good morning to everyone. It is the begining of a beautiful day here in the Hills of Brown County. The birds are singing (actually making a racket!) don't know what has them so stirred up. Sun is out and it isn't supposed to rain for a couple more days!!!! Already 55 out. The painter finished, packed up and left yesterday. Will post before and after pictures of house if I can ever get on AOL. - don't know how to keep two windows open at same time in IE -. And today the man is supposed - that being the operative word - to come to put the satellite dish on the house so I'll be able to use my PC for going on line. The fine woodworker who lives across and down the hollow from us gave Bill a bunch of VERY nice wood yesterday - pieces of walnut, mahogany etc so Bill is in hog heaven, can't wat to start something. I finished up my second set of place mats and they are okay - my first atempt at free motion quilting - need lots more practice. Have stopped on the window for a bit. Was cutting the glass (very expensive glass) for the border and broke two pieces and of course don't have any to spare. Have to rethink what I was going to do. Think the border will have lots of pieces in it now.
Been thinking about Barb - all is well I hope.
Later gaters! - was watching the Andy Griffith show on TV last night - sure were nicer and gentler times then.

good morning ladies
well this is the last day for my middle of the day run, the high school tech run, will
say good bye to the kids til next school term. Then I just have friday, tuesday and
half of wednesday. Somewhere in the next two days I have to clean my bus for the
end of the year inspection which is Saturday, so they say, but they probably won't
do it til next Thursday. They never do it when they say they are going to cause no
one wants to come in over a 3 day weekend.
Its a little cloudy out now and feels comfortable but it will still get hot today. Might
have a little rain and then it will be humid, yuk.
Time for more coffee and perhaps a little toast.
Have a great day and happy traveling for those that are going somewhere. For me,
I'm doing another "staycation" haha, staying home.
Somewhere with Ava and Maggie

I'm trying to get ready to head out for the weekend too. Booked a site in Rehoboth Beach for the long weekend. GD and I are headed there tomorrow; friend and her GD are joining us on Saturday. Hopeing for good weather and that the pool isn't too cold! Well, GD won't care if the pool is cold or not! This is the first trip of the season and therefore always exciting! It's been a long winter!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I have two days off! Thank heavens, I needed it after last night. Some of the guests were so nasty last night that they made the Hostess, a grown woman, cry. I sure could do without closing two nights a week. At least in Reservations they are on the end of a phone line, not in my face! Anyway, off to open a new bank account. I've given up on my South Dakota bank. I just have too much trouble accessing their web page. Talk about Security...even I can't get in.

Sparkle, are all of the guest that obnoxious? I'd have a hard time being there if there was that sort of thing all around. I don't care how beautiful the scenery is!

Good Morning all...
Well it is wonderful sunny morning here in the PNW and they say it will be staying around for a while. No rain in the forcast. YEAH!!!!!!!! I am so ready to dry out for bit. Those that need rain are more then welcome to keep it as long as you need it. We up here in the PNW will be fine for a few weeks without it.

Paulette....DH was stationed in Rehoboth Beach several years ago 89-91. We lived in Bethany Beach. I worked at one of the boardwalk Stores. Dianes' Shirt and Shell Shop to be exact.

Well we are dealing with dealership issue. You see we have had this yearly issue with our TT. The cabinets doors seemed to split and separate every winter. Last winter was not too bad. This winter was a different story. I have pictures I will have to share the link here. Anyway...we have been in contact the the dealership since the end of Feb. In March we sent them pictures...vs driving it the 30 miles south..to have them look and say...yep. Especially since it was a repeat issue.
We waited a few weeks...nothing...we called and they say we didn't send the email. Then they check their junk folder and there it is. So we wait a few more weeks, email wait a week email again. Then DH calls the dealership last Thursday

DH finally gives up and calls Crossroads the manufacturer yesterday. Then the dealership calls back.
This is the line that the dealership gave DH: He stated that Crossroads told him that due to the economy they did not have cabinet maker/repairer on staff and they have no idea how long it would take to get them. DH ask service guy...what are suppose to do..as some of them we can't even close. He offers no ideas.

So DH emails Crossroads asking them What the hockey sticks are suppose to do about this. DH hears back from Crossroads. They are confused, as they order the cabinets premade. They need the VIN # and measurements. The only thing they said is there is a possibility that they are no longer available, due to design changes. So now we have to send them the VIN #. I hope DH still has the measurements at work, as I do not have them here. Otherwise I will be making a trip the trailer today.

Needless to say once again the dealership has failed. We have never really ever been happy with the service after the sale. Once we get this issued settled and dealt with. The owner is getting a letter. We actually had hopes that once they got rid of the old service manager..we butted heads on the first encounter over our awning incident. That it would be better. Nope.

Other then that...today is Speech Therapy of Kodie, Baseball Clinic for Zeke (they opted to continue a couple more weeks), then Karate for Mychal and Zeke (only 2 more weeks). Then there is a parent/player football meeting tonight. Were has the year gone...we really can't be signing up for football season already.

Here is the link for pictures.

Well, I don't know if we'll even go to the boardwalk. We're staying about 2 1/2 miles from the beach. I've never been to this campground, so will let you all know if it is worth the $$$. And of course, it is a holiday weekend...cha ching. But, it is worth it to me to GET AWAY for a couple of days. I really enjoy being in my MH and if it were just me, I would live in it full time. But, GD and 2 dogs need more room than that. And the cat, he would have to convey with the house. So, I'll settle for the weekend trips and vacations for now.

Nut bread from a nut case? You sure you should eat it? We'd hate for you to be abducted after eating an Alien Knock-Out Pill, which are rumored to look and taste exactly like earthling bananas...you're treading on thin ice. Bet it's great with a little butter, though!

Please note the antennae...
