Snowy Wednesday in May

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Wednesday in May

My power is out again also. With that my cell service comes and goes as the tower is effected too. But I'm going to try to share one of my morning pics. (Not enough signal right now to upload it... I'll be back and add it later).

Hopefully power will be returned sooner, rather than later. Temps will be rising to the 40's today, bringing rain instead of snow and melting the snow. It'll be interesting to see how high that creek rises.

What a spring... Everywhere!

Hang in there and hunker down! Such crazy weather! The mountains just east of me got snow overnight too. Very rare, especially for this time of year.

Weather here is off and on rain, sun, wind and cool but I like the cooler weather for now.

I need to get up and moving soon! Was watching video of a police chase in LA from last night of a stolen RV! :o Crazy lady with two dogs on board driving at high speeds thru neighborhoods and shopping mall parking lots, taking out cars and a tree, which took out the right front half of the RV! One dog fell out of the front of the RV later on :( . Eventually she ran into another car pulling out of a driveway. She and the other dog took off running but were caught right away. Luckily, only minor injuries to the victims and the dogs. Dogs looked like pits or rottweilers. Crazy!

Lots of packing to do today!

Stay warm and dry today where ever you are!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I watched the video of the RV chase. That woman is crazy. She is lucky the police didn't shoot her. All you have to do is look at them wrong and you could get shot.

I saw the snow pictures on Facebook. Crazy weather. It's almost 90 here. The wind is still blowing from the South. All of the rivers are full and the South wind is keeping them from draining into the Gulf. We only have a 10% chance of rain for the next 10 days. I kind of doubt that.

I'm thinking about going to town but not moving very fast.

Beth, I also saw the pictures on FB. I sure hope it warms up there before we get there. Martha, I like your weather much better.

The temperatures in Wilson NC are in the mid 80's and sunny. We are leaving in the morning to go to VA for one night and the following day, we'll park in our driveway. Ironically, several hours later, we'll be meeting the friends that take care of our house and vehicles while we're in FL, and will spend the 4 day holiday weekend at a state park in DE. A couple weeks after that, we'll make the big trip.

Be safe, whatever your weather is!

Rained all night last night. Stopped long enough for me to get hooked up and dump and then did not begin again until noon!
I am now in Superior, WI. Will stay here for three nights prior to heading out to Ely. The wind is blowing hard here and freezing cold! I guess a couple of us are suffering. Beth and Cheryl also!
In case you haven’t heard, the wedding site has been changed from Idaho to Washington!

Sorry about all the nasty weather so many of you are having. We have had downpours and steady rain for the last couple of days but today is cloudy with a chance of just some showers 64° our high today. Sun/showers next few days with highs in the low 70's. Saturday sunny... Not too bad.

Taking Emma for a much needed grooming tomorrow then will go over to my favorite store it seems, Home Depot. I want to buy a BBQ for the house. Laura is coming down for the weekend and she is nice enough to go with me to pick it up. Actually I am going with her LOL she has a truck. They assemble it for free so I am liking that idea. I dont need a fancy one just a basic BBQ. Planning on BBQ'ing steaks on Sunday.

Better have some lunch before the Mexican train gang gets here. We play about 1:30 and we are done in less than 2 hours, so nice way to while away the afternoon.

45-47 here the last few days with tons of rain... but today is sunny and 82! Got in a fantastic swim today and then lolled about in a chaise lounge for a while enjoying the sun.

Power just came back and with it my cell signal so I just added the pic to my opening post. Now to head to the store and make sure all the coolers and freezers came back on.

Just taking a break from packing. Got the living room, dining room and most of the kitchen packed up so far. Went to WM to get some bubble wrap for my dishes, glasses and mugs and some more packing bins. Plan to finish the kitchen and clean out the laundry area and start on the den yet today. Then tomorrow will be my bedroom and bath.

I am glad I am getting most everything out of here this weekend. That will give me all of next week to clean the inside and outside and make it all fresh and nice for the new owner. Won't have any last minute panic about packing and cleaning.

While I was at WM, I saw a young gal wearing a winter coat with a fur lined hood and wearing a knit cap. It is 65* today! I just have a t-shirt, jeans and sandals on. Barely sweater weather and only because of the wind.

Beth, I hope nothing got ruined at the store in the coolers and freezers. I can't believe Linda's granddaughter is still living in a tent out there! She is a tough young thing!

Lyn, hang in there! Hope it warms up soon! Being around the big lakes makes it a lot colder and windier. Should be better once you get to Ely.

I've been wondering about those freezers as well. hopefully nothing was lost... came home today and turned up the furnace had it about 65 should have turned it down further as I was gone all day... but forgot to heated up some soup and noticed that the flame was wimpy and after a bit the furnace turned off hmmm thinking I am out of propane... turned on the buddy and stove and the flame didn't want to stay on... here I have a larger tank one they have to come fill... hopefully they can do it as I really don't want to be without heat for days.. and it's a holiday weekend... I may have to have sIl rehook up the regular tanks so I can use the stove and furnace. also think I need to go fill the one hooked up to the buddy.
weird hear the furnace coming on not sure guess tomorrow will need to look and see what it says.
Spent the day with Mom we watched tv I watered the plants she lost a couple of them over the winter not sure if I will let them be and see if they will come back or not they look pretty dead to me... but water is a miracle with plants...
she dozes off a lot ... guess I would to if I had been reclining and covered up as it was I was just cold... did some indexing and family search been gathering sources on ancestry for my page... also played 40 thieves...
Sounds like fun Karen miss playing Mexican train... do you ever play Chicken foot or there is another that I can't at the moment think of it's name but the tiles touching have to add up to 13 if its a blank you have to put a natural to it (the tile it's self adds up to 13 like a 10 on one end and a 3 on the other) its a long game we only play it a couple times in the winter.
you all have a good day
