Palm Springs/Indio trip

Here are some pics I took on my latest trip to the desert for my home inspection... these first photos are from the drive thru the mountains...

Just a sliver of snow up near Big Bear

this rock has always interested me so I stopped to take a photo

Here is a closer look at it. I think someone did this but it looks cool!

some wildflowers growing along the side of the road

a place in Anza that has a ton of metal sculptures for sale. Here is a wagon with horses. There are even people inside of the wagon. Lots of details!

Image

this dog is like 10 feet tall!

Palm trees along Hwy 111

I will be keeping these chairs and getting new cushions for them.

the trench in my back yard :(

Image

the owner left this on the bed.

She left all these spices too

Need to do something about this...the toilet tank is so close under the (permanent, unmovable) shelf that the lid can't be removed if I need to get into the tank. Need to remove the shelf somehow.

and finally, a beautiful rose from my garden here in Vista.

my thoughts as well Beth... whoever came up with that??? reminds of when I was redoing the kitchen in our stick and brick had a counter put in not an island as you couldn't walk around it but it came out from the wall aways ... fortunately I don't think they had left yet when I discovered that we couldn't open the fridge door...
and what a nice thing to do leaving the bed that way... was the orchid artificial?
can you imagine carrying those rocks up and putting them in place??? wow sticktoitness for sure..
enjoyed your pictures...that rose is so pretty will you be able to plant flowers ect?

I am thinking the original toilet was probably smaller and it was replaced by this higher one. I will probably have to have the shelf cut where it comes out from the vanity area. Eventually, I will probably have to fix something in the tank and won't be able to get at it without removing the shelf so will just get rid of it when I move in.

The Orchid is artificial and there are several others she left there, some larger. I will keep all those. They are pretty and I can't kill them!

I can have potted plants on my property. Will probably have some Hibiscus, palm plants, tomato plants, maybe strawberries, and a small container water pond. Oh, and a little fairy garden would be fun. Just miniature versions of the things I never got around to (or had the money for) here in Vista. :D There is an area next to the shed that I can put some of that, and more space alongside the back of the house. Also in the front of the house by the golf cart parking area. Also can hang some plants and put some on the deck. Maybe even window boxes. So lots of options. Just have to make sure the plants I get can handle the weather and that I don't forget to water them! Succulents might be a good option!

Thanks for the pictures Barbie. It was nice of the previous owner to leave a gift for you on the bed. I know you will enjoy getting everything the way you want it.
