Long day at work. Here it's evening and no one started morning coffee! I'm thinking of a cocktail now!

Hope everyone has had a good day. Barbie, I'm awaiting news on your inspection.

My excuse is that I have been driving all day--from Bullard's Beach Oregon to a state park not too far from Portland, OR.

Glad to see that several people are getting rigs ready for summer travel! Things are thawing out in the north country and getting warmer in the rest of the country.

LOL I thought I posted in here today, ummmmmmmmmm maybe not. LOL Nothing exciting here, laundry, vacuuming, oh but I did clean my car today. Since I already had to take everything out of the glove box decided the amount of dust everywhere just wasnt going to work for me. So wiped down all the leather, dash, console then did the back seat and then finally the cargo area. Took me way longer than I thought it would.

Not a drop of rain has fallen today despite the news saying it was going to be 80% chance of rain and maybe our rainiest day this week.............yeah right.

Yesterday late I was trying to mow in front of the barn. It was deep, damp clover and I thought I had broken the mower. I went out this morning to check it before I called for an appointment to bring it in. I think it was just clogged up and when it dried out all the stuff fell out. I need to be more careful. I mowed the rest of the yard. Some of it had to be mowed high and then low but got it all done. My face is still warm so probably got too much sun. It's such a change for the sun to be shining.

I was looking at the sun shining on the dash of my car and it could sure use a cleaning. I unloaded a lot of stuff before I went to Petsmart the other day. That could be my project for tomorrow. I have a bottle of the wipes for cleaning the dash if I can find it.

Good evening!

Sheila, the house is actually in Indio but since most people have never heard of that or know where it is, I just say Palm Springs since they are pretty close to each other, and most people know where Palm Springs is.

I went over for the inspection this morning. They have had major issues with transformers blowing at the park so there was no power on in the house when I got there. The inspector got there and did some work outside but couldn't do anything inside. Luckily, they were able to get power on from a generator in the park so he was able to finish the inspection. He didn't find anything major, just little things here and there that are easy fixes and not too costly. He said the roof is in great shape and the furnace/central air unit, altho older, works well. So I was happy to hear all that, especially after the reports on my house!

The back yard is a total mess tho, actually the whole green space back there. It has something to do with the transformers and the electrical wiring underground that has to be redone so there is a large trench all the way thru parts of the park including my back yard. It will be done soon tho and covered up and resodded. Will look nice again eventually. I won't be spending much time outside this summer anyways. It sure was hot in the house for awhile until they got power on and turned on the air. Cooled off quickly tho. Got to 100* today.

On the down side, my agent had told me the bed there was a full-size but when I looked at it again, it looked bigger than mine so I measured it and it is a queen. Darn! My bedding is for a full-sized bed and I love my comforter set. I tried to find it on line in a queen but it has been discontinued. Now I am trying to decide if I should keep the bed and get a new comforter set or keep the set and get a new bed. Logically, getting a new comforter set makes more sense, but then the queen bed takes up so much space in that small room that a full sized bed would give me more room in there to move around. Then again, I already sold my full sized bed and frame so I would have to get rid of the bigger bed and frame and buy a new full sized one. Decisions, decisions....

I had time also to go thru all the cupboards, cabinets and drawers in the house. All completely full of stuff! Dishes, pots and pans, utensils, towels, bedding, cleaning products, many sets of wine glasses, canned food, tons of spices, cookie sheets, lots of glass casserole dishes, dozens of mugs, and even a large safe (open but don't have the combination for it). So I will have my work cut out for me to go thru it all and donate or toss most of it. Will maybe keep some of it. It was dark in the house since most of the windows have insulated panels on them to keep the hot sun out while it is vacant.

After that, I went to several golf cart stores to look at some and asked lots of questions since I know absolutely nothing about golf carts. Got some helpful information. So now I have a better idea of what to look for in a used model. One of them even had a swamp cooler on the roof!

Later I drove to the Palm Springs Visitor Center that is in an old retro gas station. Then went down town Palm Springs and walked around, bought a couple things and had a hot fudge banana sundae at Ruby's Diner.

I will head out fairly early tomorrow morning after a quick breakfast, heading for home. Of course, the high here tomorrow is supposed to be only 75*. That couldn't have happened today...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I don't know a lot about Golf Carts other than that I bought one. The one thing I wish mine has is a rear view mirror for backing up. Guess I could add one. The original leaver to put it in reverse was short and very hard for me to move. My son added a longer leaver to give me more leverage and that helped a lot.

we used to have a golf cart at the campground we hosted at...was so fun to drive loved to do it... I know that if I get a place at Gold Star in Q I will need to get me one... read that need as want  .
lots to go through Barbie if you hadn't sold your bedroom set then it wouldn't be a big decision but if it's sold that makes it more of an issue you are right they take up space... but new mattress ect cost a bundle as well if she left spices then did she leave sheets for bed?? I would go for using that bed for awhile recoup and make a decision later after you have lived there awhile if in a couple months you still don't like it then look for a new bed labor day week as they have lots of sales on that type of furniture then..just a thought
