Monday, May 13th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, May 13th

Good Morning. Hope you mom’s had a nice day yesterday, whether with family or not. Anne, chocolate cream pie would have been a nice indulgence. Sometimes you can pop into a restraunt for some. I stopped at our local Big Boy’s for breakfast after church as they have a nice breakfast buffet on weekends. Go there periodically. Place was packed for Mother’s Day of course. They were giving out coupons for a free meal to the mom’s. Being I go there, know some of the workers. Gal came by, asked if I was a Mother. Said no, just a mom to two collies, hahaha. She said “take one anyway”. So I have free meal coming up. Perks of doing business in small places :D

Finally got my new blinds up in my trailer. Now to make new cornices to cover them. My new mattress topper is expanding, hopefully. Put it in yesterday although weather isn’t the warmest right now. Been cloudy and cool, but no rain all weekend. Warm up coming this week. Grass is growing good, may have to mow pretty soon, need to run dethacher around and break up the ground. Got my split rail fence repaired, needed new post and rail in one spot. Had a quick hi and bye visit from my U.P. Camping friends, on their way back home from DIL’s college graduation down here on Saturday. We will be camping over Memorial Day weekend. So things have been busy here. Heading to town this morning on couple errands and then will get busy outside. Getting new WD hitch installed this week, looking forward to that. Then will give Trailer a good cleaning inside and everything racy to roll for summer.

So best get this day moving here. Have a nice day everyone. Barbie, safe travels to Indio.

Since I can't eat chocolate, chocolate pie has no appeal for me. I could sure go for a whole strawberry pie though but know better than to ask for one. I was going to make one but Walmart didn't have any strawberry jello. They always seem to be out of whatever flavor I'm looking for. There is a restaurant near the last campout that is famous for their pies. Before they built I-49 the main highway went right in front of it so we always had to stop. I think the last time I ask about a whole pie they wanted $24. I don't like pie that much.

I have to go after lunch to pick up 2 flower arrangements my DIL ordered for the graveyard. She means well but spends way too much money. My motorhome might be ready today. They called me on Friday to tell me what was wrong with the satellite. The motorhome has a Bose sound system that I have no idea how to operate. The guy is telling me all the things he hooked up. I ask him to write it down so I wouldn't forget how to operate it. I didn't tell him he was wasting his time telling me on the phone. Operating a TV has gotten to be a big pain. Every trip I have to remember how to program 2 TV's and they are both different.

I noticed Saturday that they are building a Waffle House on the way to Lafayette. They can sure come up with some of these buildings fast. When we showed horses a lot of the time Cutting was the last event and we would be showing at midnight. We would often end up eating at a Waffle House at 2:00 in the morning. I wonder if the clientele has changed much at that time of the morning. lol

I have 2 windows I need to order new Roman shades for. Those seem to work best with the cats. J C Penny's use to have good shades but like everything else, the price has gone up and the quality has gone down.

Good afternoon gals!

I am now resting at the Motel6 in Palm Desert. Picked up the UHaul trailer this morning and got it loaded. Had to find more stuff to put in it since there was still room to spare. (Still have a lot more stuff left to go thru and pack up tho). Headed out around 10:30 so I missed the heavy traffic. Found the storage place and got all signed up and then unloaded. Got a good sized unit so should fit all the rest of my stuff including my love seats and recliner. It always goes so much faster unloading than loading! Only took about 10 minutes but it was already in the mid 90's so I was getting sweaty and drinking a lot of water. Dropped off the trailer at another UHaul place and just got checked in to my room.

Will relax for a bit here and then go out to find something to eat. Also need to find some more Propel water since I am out.

Tomorrow morning at 9am will be the home inspection of the new house. Hoping there is nothing much found. Will also look thru all the drawers, cupboards, and the shed to see what all she left for me. Could be interesting! Three more weeks and it will all be mine! :D

I love pie but sure can't eat a whole one no matter what flavor. I really like Marie Callenders chocolate cream pie! So smooth and fluffy, not too rich. Yum!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Asking for a Gray Haired Lady that remembers the conformation but not the product recommended. I also can't remember if the conversation was on FB or on here. What is the name of the product recommended for leg cramps. I believe it was a creme that was recommended because magnesium is more effective when applied through the skin rather than absorbed internally by ingesting a pill form/supplement.

Oh, and I made it through the day complete with on line training and learning via the internet this time.

I like to buy a Marie Callender Chocolate pie once in a while. I cut it up while it is still mostly frozen and freeze pieces for another time. I keeps pretty well!

Headed out tomorrow to a state park near Portland for three days, then back to Eugene for 10 days. Not much going on other than getting some work done. I did buy myself a new towel set a couple of weeks ago, so I took it out to wash today, along with some other towels and sheets from my bed.

I hope you had help loading up that furniture, Barbie!

the new parents to be are on the way to hospital... to be checked we will see if they stay
dd went but due to the time of day and not knowing decided I had better stay home so I can take Shadow out he will some times dig his feet in and not go out for the kids. If they stay it could be a long night not that I go to bed that early anyway  but it was more due to Shadow than anything. I used to work in a hospital in housekeeping sometimes in the birthing rooms... it seemed like some had a huge entourage to me perhaps it's more a mom and dad time come later but for the birth maybe two is enough... but there would be NO way that dd would stay back... she always wanted more kids but had only one... so now I will sit here at home and alternately wish I had gone and be glad that I stayed...
Tina I think that conversation was on FB but most of those who were talking are here so no reason for it not to be revived here...except I don't remember who Sarah perhaps Donna perhaps so hopefully they will jump in and tell you the name of the stuff in fact perhaps Martha was part of it..
suppose to go to my mom's tomorrow they have a luncheon every other month and when I am home I like to go to it with her... but with active baby watch not sure it that will happen... my truck is still not home will be tomorrow but don't know when. for sure not in time for me to run over...as it starts at 12:00
did get my table out and the soda stream on it one shelve straighten up dishes done but table is still a mess.. it will happen one day I would say tomorrow but who knows what tomorrow will bring either being home or going to Jackson...
and the birds are so going to eat me out of house and home... filled the feeders this morning and they could all be filled tonight but didn't if I go to Jackson tomorrow will regret not doing so.... the gold finches are so pretty look at...sometimes I will look out and wonder where that yellow blossom came from... then realize that it is a bird
that is my day and jello plans for tomorrow
haha Barbie in my mind I was thinking you were moving to Palms Springs now I see it's not so tell me where it is the town and where in CA it is

It looks like three more days of beautiful temps then dropping again... But not quite as far. That said, this is insane.

Barbie, wow, only a couple more weeks. I hope your inspection goes good!

Sheila, I know we discussed leg cramps here, but can't find anything on here about a cream, so you might be right about FB... But I can't find previous discussions easily there. Hopefully the right person will jump in here, Tina.

I don't remember a discussion about a cream for leg cramps. I take Anacin. I don't know if that's what really works or it's just my imagination. Could be just getting up and walking around.

There was too much pie talk so when I went to Walmart I got some strawberries and pie shells. When I got home I made a pie. I did use sugar free jello so maybe not too bad.

Soggy and surprisingly chilly Mother's Day weekend in north AL. We've already had 36" of rain this year; way above average. I actually turned the heat back on Sunday evening and it is still going.
Niece surprised me by stopping by late Sunday afternoon. Brought me a pair of PJs and nice card. While she as here she also changed two light bulbs for me... one of those 8' shop lights and another in a drop ceiling with a cover I have a problem removing. It was nice to see her.
Tina: I think the leg cramp lotion you are seeking is this one
https://theraworxrelief.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjLOe8f-Z4gIVCM13Ch1LUA6AEAAYASAAEgIHzPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds.
Look on FB or Walmart sites for a $4.00 off coupon. Congratulations on the weigh loss. Have you been dieting or just working it off with all the dog shows?

Wasn't it Epson Salts, using it to bathe or soak your feet in? I think it was Mandysmon who wrote about it.

BJ I wrote about the Epsom salt bath after seeing someone mention the cream, saying it made sense the ingredients of the cream because magnesium absorbs well through skin. But I do recall someone mentioning the cream whi h elicited my response, just can't recall who! A MgSo4 (Epsom salts) foot bath with few drops lavender essential Oil is so soothing at night.

Thanks for helping my remember the full name. Sleep is a cherished thing and limiting one more possibility of disruption would be a positive thing!

Tina, I take magnesium 250 mg. A couple times a week , when I remember. The leg cramps have stopped. My friend drinks pickle juice, says it stops cramps instantly. :? I’m not keeping pickle juice on the night stand. :D
