Rainy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Sunday

Good morning all. No surprise that it’s raining again! Looking like more rain then sun in the next week or so. Tomorrow may be the only lawn mowing day for the week! I did manage to get some cleaning done in Lola yesterday. And some rearranging. One thing I decided to do is get some broom hangers to hang my adapter plugs in the closet so I can get to them easily. Plus my friends gave me the nice memory foam pad for the couch/bed so I had to cut it to make it fit. Hoping it’ll be a good sleep! It’s much nicer then the one I had. Their new rig has a really nice mattress and is comfortable for them. Shelia, good that you made it to Idaho. Sue and Beth, still dealing with winter?? At least despite the rain our temps are higher so that makes it easier to handle. Not sure what I’ll do today. May head over to catch up with the kids. Also need to check out the detour in place for a bridge repair, the business I take Lola to for inspection is along there. Need to see how I can get to them. They run buses for school so there must be a way. Better to check it out in the car first so I don’t get into something with the RV! So that’s about it for me today. Hope you all have a good day.

Beautiful sunny day here in the San Antonio, TX area, Sharon. But we did have some whopper storms last week and expect more next week. It is Spring time which equals storm time. That is one of the reason I like getting on the road in June and staying out until October. My A/C failed and I am getting it replaced hopefully Monday or Tuesday at the latest...temps are headed back to upper 80’s around here. Will be house sitting the Alpaca Ranch when this is completed. Was over there last week and it was a zoo! Veggies being picked from the garden, and blueberries should be coming on in a couple of weeks. Love those fresh fruits and veggies. Beth hope your cold is gone now and it begins the sunny skies and lovely temps. I know you love your area and I so hope it is another great year over there. Sue you and Lyn have a great time. You are a lovely hostess. O’Malley have a great summer and keep punkin moving! Everyone be safe on the road and have loads of fun.

We had a couple nice days... Spectacular yesterday. But today the rain and cold (below normal cold but not what we had before) is back and probably will be next weekend before we get another break. This is crazy. Lol Coat, jacket, sundress, changes daily. Keeps me on my toes.

Otherwise my ife is boring. Work and work more. I'm going to see if Linda wants to try a drive through Custer State Park in the rain Tuesday afternoon. I miss that place. It truly is one of my happy places and I haven't been back yet!

Sunny here at the 45th! Tempo is 72* right now. After a long day sight seeing yesterday, Sue and I are puttering around today. Sue fixed my steps!!! I must be more careful! The garage is so neat with all her tools placed where they belong,
Her house is very nice. Love the color blue she has it painted.
Walmart is on our schedule for today. I am enjoying with Piper. Molly isn’t interested in play with the ball.

Good morning :-)
my deck has finally reached a point where it feels like I'm a really accomplishing something. Its been a slow process between work, hot weather and other chores. It doesn't take long for it to be too warm and I have to come in.
Need to start the motorhome and make plans to get it down to the emissions place and renew my tags. Soon, but not today. Laundry on the agenda sometime today. Did a little neglected chore this morning, emptying the tank was one and I noticed the slide valve was really hard to pull. Hope that doesn't mean it needs replaced!
Not much is new. Ya'll have a great day.

Hi ladies~~~
Not morning anymore, although I did go back in time when I hit Mountain time zone. :) Heading to Colorado for 3 weeks. Plan on getting to the Great Sand Dunes & a bit of Rocky Mountain, then will head into Wyoming. I love it there so definately want to see more of it.

Birdie I am keeping Punk on the move. He has alot of peemail to check across the country. Sure wish you were with me in Milford, KS. Kept hearing a nighttime bird that sounded like 2 tones from a police car, but the ones I found (nighthawks & 2 different whip-o-wills) weren't what I was hearing. Didnt think of having my phone record it until I left. Duh.

Glad Sue fixed your stairs Lyn. Hopefully for the last time. Did you do your Minnesota bird watching yet?

That's it from me. Hope everyone is safe, happy & healthy.

Woke up here along the coast to the sound of gobbling. I keep the television on quietly all night for the many times I wake up and cannot get back to sleep, so I thought it was on TV. Except this morning I saw the turkey wandering around, but could not get a photo of him.

Chilly and sunny, today. Had an uneventful drive yesterday from Tillicum Beach, with multiple stops--dump tanks, bakery stuff to freeze, and groceries. When I got to my campsite, I waited to open the slides so I could get easy access to my "basement" storage. Spent about an hour going through two driver's side front bins. I washed them out with cleaner with bleach, and then put my suitcase in one and my safe from under my bed in the other. Took out a bin of saved clothes and went through it this morning--tossed everything except one pair of shorts and an evening bag. Now, I ask you, why in the world did I bring along an evening bag??? Hoping their is a used clothing drop-off in Bandon I can take the clothes to. They are really in good shape, just stuff that was too small or too big, and I bought more to replace them. The evening bag and a handful of other things, like an extra mug, will go to my kids in Napa.

Also, tossed a rusty toaster and some other junk, plus rearranged my leveling boards. I now have an empty bin, but two others to go through. I am really trying hard to reduce what I carry in this rig because it is so overweight, especially in the rear. I also went through a couple of my clothing shelves in the back. I really had a lot more long pants than I really needed, so pruned those as well.

Oh, and got up at 4:45 am to make reservations in Florida. Easter is really late next year, which means the weeks before the holiday are packed, and it is extremely competitive. Everything in state parks is packed for March and April with sites closing within seconds after they open. Missed the beach site at Gamble Rogers for May 5+, but got one of the new riverside sites, so will try that. I am going to be working my way north by then and planning on taking the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Parkways back to Ohio in mid-late May. Then late May, June, and July 2020 in Ohio and Michigan. Thinking of headed back west via UP.

Chilly weekend at the dog show. We were all huddled up grooming in one of the big aluminum barns at the fairgrounds. You know the kind, built on large slabs of concrete that hold the cold from the night forever. At one point Saturday afternoon the sun came out for about 45 minutes and suddenly the outside was warmer than being in the building. Alas, it did not last. Josef did well and beside going Best of Breed bother days, he managed to pick up placements in both the regular Sporting Group and the Owner Handler Sporting Group on Saturday. Owner Handler competition was not offered today but Josef did manage to make the judge look at him several times....before all the placements went to some nice dogs being shown by handlers. Sometimes in the larger Sporting Group when there are 20 some dogs the judges seem to lose interest in looking at some of us that stand farther back at the end of the line. Those beautiful setters, retrievers and pointers are distracting.....

I didn’t drive the rig up Friday night because I knew I would be too tired and it would take longer. We stayed out in a small motel with maybe a total of 30 rooms. If you can’t guess Bucyrus Ohio is still out in the middle of nowhere Ohio. And I had to head 10 miles down the road to another small town to find a room. And most of the motels in the area were too expensive and/ or didn’t accept dogs. Several weeks age when I went looking I did find one. Besides being old and sort of tired looking it was the first time in a long time I got handed an actual key to the room. Yep, the traditional plastic key fob with the room number on it. I will say it was one of the quietest stays I’ve ever had and McDonalds was right out by the front road, convenient to picking up breakfast on the way to the show.

Back to work tomorrow and if I have enough energy I might get a few loads of laundry done before bedtime.

It is Sunday that said all I can say is it was the normal Sunday and what goes with it. Last night I was so hungry came out and made a grilled cheese this evening went up to the house so I wouldn't be accused of being a hermit... and guess what was for supper??? yep grilled cheese but with tomato soup I had fruit last night. usually when I open a can of fruit half of it gets wasted so I started getting the package of individual servings I am sure cost more or does it when you waste half of it ???
it's dark up here!!! was dark in the desert then when I was in the rv parks (all of them) lots of light one coming in the vent... ugh so wan't used to the lights...
tomorrow need to set up the inside and if the rains hold perhaps put out the mats and put up the feeders
late last night I heard something in the distance don't know what it was other than animal
was going to mention something but sure don't remember what it was

Work was super busy today, altho it didn't help that we were short one stylist. I did 20 haircuts in 7 hours! Good tips too. My left shoulder has been bothering me lately and today didn't help any. Took some ibuprofin which helped some.

Whatever medicine I got for Lola hasn't done anything for her diarrhea at all. I should hear back tomorrow with the blood test results.

My manager tweaked the schedule for the following week and got me two days off in a row, Monday and Tuesday, so will try to get an appointment for the home inspection in Indio then.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
