And It's Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

And It's Sunday

And I'm taking the day off from the store. I need finish up some website work, though. I'm doing an unofficial open of the store Monday and Tuesday to train two people on the opening/closing procedures, etc. Official opening is Wednesday. We'll be lucky to have any customers as the weather is spiralling downhill tomorrow for 3 or 4 days. It'll definitely be winter again.

Barbie, I hope this sale goes smoothly! I can't wait till you're in the new place and showing us your before and after pics again!

A little bit of morning left here. Nothing special going on in my world, in fact seem to be in a break/need fixing mode on most fronts.
Nice weather for a change.
Beth, it looks like winter is still holding on across the north. Stay warm.

Good morning gals! Still hanging out in bed.

Beth, I don't have a lot of projects planned for the new house, just a few small things. Once I close on it, I need to go thru the house and all the stuff in it to see what I want to keep, and then have the rest of it taken away by a donation center. Then I can start moving my stuff in and get organized and settled. The sunroom needs the carpet replaced which should be an easy fix. Want to put the peel and stick vinyl tiles in there if the floor is nice and smooth. All the curtains need to come down and be replaced with new ones. Will probably find a few more small projects to work on once I am in there, but nothing major. Eventually will paint over the wallpaper in the kitchen but it is something I can live with for awhile. Other than that, the floors are wood laminate and beautiful, and the wood cabinets are very nice, so nothing needed there. The rest of the walls throughout are a nice light beige color and look very nice.

Outside will just get some nice potted plants and a patio swing for the back. Oh yeah, need a golf cart too!

Need to finish up the shed this morning. Then at 2:00 am going miniature golfing with a meet-up group for a little fun break. Then will start on the closet mess after that.

Hope you all have a good day, and Beth, stay warm! Looks like you got missed by the midwest storm that has been moving thru there. I hope Lyn is hunkered down in Wisconsin. I think the storm is moving thru there today. :o
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, your little projects are a lot more than some of do. lol I joined a meetup group in Lafayette that eats out, of course. I don't like to go to restaurants alone and they are finding restaurants I have never heard of. I am going to miss one next Thursday because of my camping trip. I need to look for a new swimsuit but most of them time I don't go swimming if there is a pool. Maybe there will be a hot tub.

It's a nice sunny day and 81 but doesn't feel that warm because it's windy. I might go down to the pond if I can quit coughing. I don't have much of a selection of cold medicine.

The sun is finally out here but it is cold again and it was cloudy all morning. Martha ,my husband had a really bad virus that started week before last which has left him with an awful cough. Of course doing things like going out this morning without a coat on doesn't help  I caught it Wed. it but I had been for acupuncture on Tuesday and she did some 'preventative needles so I haven't been as sick as he was...so far! He seldom gets ill and this was one of the worst colds I can remember him having and yesterday was our 23rd wedding anniversary!! Of course he wouldn't go to the doctor or take anything for it. I did get some cough drops that seemed to help.
I wish there were meetup groups here, I get bored and it is difficult to meet people in a smaller area.

After two days, my neck is still itching. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. Never had a haircut that itched so bad and so long. Sunny and chilly here in Tillicum, but very nice to have a view of the ocean while I work online. People are leaving, so hopefully no big vehicles will drive in to block my view.

The golf cart sounds like fun, Barbie! And then you can get your small trailer.

Had blueberry pancakes with bacon and real maple syrup for a late breakfast, so life is good!

Afternoon everyone!

We’re trying to start including shorter midwestern trips into our life, instead of always waiting for the next big trip.

An old motorcycling buddy and his wife have a gorgeous farm down in southern Illinois, big stocked pond and plenty of space for a nice bonfire. We got invited to their annual fishing derby/classic car show and took off for the wilds of southern Illinois. The GPS needs to be smacked with a hammer though, we were on gravel county roads so far out in the middle of nowhere that they ended in pastures... so, four hours to go 200 miles. We got there and there were a dozen little kids and a few adults fishing, some stunning classic cars, and two frying stations already going. We had deep fried fish, fresh potato chips, mushrooms, mac and cheese bites, onion rings, green chile hush puppies, sweet potato fries, And a tiny bit of salad to keep it healthy.

We had a ball!! So fun and we’d normally have skipped it to save money for a bigger trip; definitely some fun to be had in our own backyard.

Hey BJ (and Judy JB)! We were in between Chester and Steeleville, that gps had us on a single track and almost into a farmers front yard!

I think my sister and her granddaughter were the ones that brought the cold here. They had all been sick at her house. I caught it and my grandson, his sister and mother. I felt like I might have had fever a couple of days but never did check it. I think it has finally run it's course. Happy anniversary BJ. You should see if there are any women camping groups in your area. Our Louisiana group is just a very informal Facebook group and I have made some great friends. There is usually one campout a month and usually at a state park. Sometimes someone will post they are camping and some will join her.

Good to hear from you Mickie. My GPS and I do a lot of disagreeing. I usually keep it muted because I get tired of hearing "recalculating". lol I have a couple of small ponds I can fish in. This afternoon I think I caught the biggest perch I have ever caught. The fish are usually safe with me because I don't like to clean fish. I have another alligator in the pond. That usually happens when we have big rains with a lot of running water.

it was busy enough yesterday that I never even turned on the computer. talking about GPS I went to program in the address of the reception and put in the first part and it popped in Paradise I think that was the name... no not right town to put in the town thinking that when I got to Kaysville I would stop and put in the address. in stead I used the phone and put in the address on it first time I have done that so hear I have verizon giving me the directions the garmin telling me how to get the city center and then the phone rang all at the same time ignored the phone as I don't have blue tooth and since I don't talk on the phone while driving finally got the garmin turned off. and made it to the church... got there and when I walked in thought it was dim someone had hit a power pole somewhere in the area... and the power was out.. finally someone got a generator and got lights... was nice seeing family some of my great nieces hadn't seen for a good many years... visited for a bit then they were starting to clean up so left and drove to my son's house for awhile till my dd got home we visited for a bit and when I got up this morning they had left for CO. going to a concert tomorrow and then home on Tuesday. DD wants me to stay over so we can go to a store that bakes really good cookies guess they have one that is only offered during a certain time not sure what I will do as I need to get truck 's oil changed ... am glad to be in Utah last I looked can possibly head to Idaho on Friday but perhaps will still wait until Saturday. will depend upon different things want to have the slide looked at to see why it's being reluctant to go out. not sure if I will do that with a mobile unit or take it to a service center most of which are closed on Sat and have to be out of there on Sunday at the latest as they will be full one thought that I have was to take it on Friday and leave it at a service center to be worked on on Monday but will need to make those arrangements which makes the mobile unit look better. need to make some calls to see what needs to be done after the first will be better. being lazy not sure I will do much while here although I could go to the family history library not sure have friends I can visit with or just sit down and veg with working on the afghan guess I will report back tomorrow as to what I will do
