Easter Monday Afternoon

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Easter Monday Afternoon

Hi ladies~~~

Where is everyone? Recuperating from Easter dinner and to many jelly beans?

I'm on the road again and spending a few days north of Cedar Rapids, IA. Looks like thunder storms are passing north, but I can hear the thunder. Hopefully my first night on the road wont be to exciting. I hate the midwest during tornado season.

Hope to see some waterfalls by doing a driving tour.

Have a good day ladies

HI Cheryl!

We left the campground in Ocala to start heading north. We have a family wedding to attend in VA Saturday so we are slowly making our way north,

Yesterday, one of our doors on our toad decided to not close. Something is wrong with the latch. So we took tape from one arm rest to the other to hold the door closed. Somewhere up the road, the tape stretched and was buzzing in our motorhome to let us know something wasn't right. I was pretty sure it was the door on the car, so after we got to the campground, we bugeee'd one door to the other. When we get to Wilson NC, we'll have time to find a dealer to see what the heck happened. Always something.

Well, I have been running the road all day. I had to get up at 5:00 am to get the 2 cats to the clinic in Lafayette. They use to make us pick up the cats the next morning but said I could pick up at 4:00 today or 7:30 in the morning. I chose the 4:00 pick up so had to go back to Lafayette. Anything to keep from having to get up so early. I bet I don't make mid-night tonight. I have the 2 cats in a big dog kennel to keep them quiet but I think I need to separate them because the male won't let his sister eat. I have a cage in the house if she won't howl all night.

Irmi, you are so right, it's always something. That's why we travel with duct tape and bungee cords. I have a big drawer under the bed that won't stay latched so I have a tension rod across the aisle to keep it closed. I need to figure out a way to fix the latch because I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I trip on the rod.

was glad this morning when I looked at the weather in Needles that I just stayed put gusts were supposed to get up to 50 just looked thinking if it calmed down perhaps I would leave tomorrow nope still high winds heavy gusts so will leave on Weds... if I travel steadily should be in Ogden by Friday evening or latest Sat morning ... so since I had nothing better to do went to my friends and played games but also made banana bread...
we have been playing a game called play nine I think sorta like golf haha and I play it as well as I golf
tomorrow going to dump the tanks do dishes and put stuff as much away as I can then probably go play games
had to laugh while I was getting stuff out to make the banana bread I heard my friend call me to the bedroom (her husband is bed ridden) I thought something had happen basically when I got there he told me I couldn't leave until I made something good like brownies or cake or something cause they were starving... laughed asked if banana bread would do.. his wife laughed at the starving bit said we look like we are starving but I agreed with him... sad thing is he has over the winter lost an incredible amount of weight... so sad he has been in bed for about 5 months his ankle as finally healed from the break and the infection but he has lost so much strength that he can't do a lot yet... I worry about both of them

Cheryl, enjoy those waterfalls! I would love to see those too! Be aware of the weather tho.

Irmi, I hope you get your door fixed. Yes, duct tape and bunge cords come in very handy for a lot of things!

Sheila, I have the Play Nine game but haven't had anyone to play it with yet. Hope you get on the road soon!

I didn't hear the duckling this morning but early this afternoon, I saw 5 more ducklings swimming down the creek but no mom with them either. So hopefully he will hook up with them along the way and they will find a mom to take them in. My legs are really sore from all the climbing up and down by the creek yesterday.

Had a showing today before I headed to work. A very nice couple who seemed very interested in the house, so we'll see...

Have the next two days off so will start going thru boxes and stuff in my closet and the shed to sort, organize, and repack. We have a carport sale in two weeks so I need to start putting stuff in a pile for that.

My two caterpillars are all ready to make their chrysalis's.

Time for bed...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
