It’s Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Friday

Good morning! Got home yesterday from my first trip in Lola for this season. Started out early to meet friends at dealer to transfer their belongings fro old trailer to their new 5er. Lots of up and down steps! By late afternoon we were on the road to the state park for a night of camping and checking out their systems and putting things away. In between Rascal and I got in some walks which made him happy. Steps into their camper was a challenge for him since there steeper and narrow. They’re going to get the carpet covers for them which should make it easier for him and probably us too. Only one major problem, no trailer brakes so he took his truck back to dealer and they discovered a pinched wire or something. So got that fixed. Other problem was connecting their direct tv to trailer system. Finally after a long phone call to direct and whatever they were paired. Beyond me! Then sometime about 11:15 I heard door slamming over and over. Apparently the door wouldn’t latch so he was trying to get it to close. Wasn’t funny for him but I had to giggle in the morning. I’m sure any of the few campers around us weren’t happy either! So camper is going back to the dealer today. Oh, and yesterday morning I watched a red wing blackbird falling in love with his truck. The silly bird hung around for quite awhile. Unbeknownst to me a robin was after the amber light on my rig! Needless to say I have some extra cleanup on the front of Lola! Heck, wasn’t as funny after we watched the robin! :D So quick trip home, only about 45 miles and I took care of emptying frig and getting plugged back in. The whole time I was looking at my backyard thinking I really needed to mow it. I wasn’t sure I had the energy to do it but after a break I did get it done. After that I was wiped out and just chilled the rest of the evening. Unusual for me but I slept over 8 hours last night! It certainly wasn’t a relaxing trip but knew it would be busy. Next time will be slower paced! So that’s about it from me! A bit long winded here so I’ll end with that! Have a great day and travel safe if you’re on the road.

Good morning Sharon I was thinking of you as I drove through the Allegheny mountains on my way home. I got home yesterday from my 5-month sojourn through the Southwest and two months on the beach in Kino Bay. So once again Peggy is in CT and invite you all to let me know if you will be in New England this summer. Spring flowers are blooming in my yard and it’s good to be home. Enjoy today Owggy

Sharon, you're a good friend and I sure understand your needing a good nights sleep. Peggy, glad you're home. It was good seeing you this winter. I think you're lucky to have spent a couple months further south this year. I hope weather in CT is getting more springlike.

I'm sitting here waiting for 2 deliveries, than cutting out for the day. I'm hoping they get here soon. Best weather of the week and if like to enjoy it for a bit. I don't intend to work as much this weekend, but only tinge will tell .

I had visions of roller skating again until my ex-sister-in-law broke her leg. I decided that was another thing I didn't need to be doing.

The storm has left for the time being. Ten minutes after everyone left the cats came out. My sister and her granddaughter came yesterday and spent the night. At least I found out my grandson can talk to someone. My sister's granddaughter is his age. If we are here alone he stays in his room. He won't stay at the hotel with his mother. They are suppose to fly home Sunday and he wants to stay here Saturday night. I would have to get up at 4:00 to get him to the air port.

Sharon, it was nice of you to help your friends move rigs. I know what a mess that is. I belong to a few camping facebook groups and all they do is complain about the problems with new trailers and motorhomes. I am ready to go camping again. My Louisiana group is going to a casino with a water park in 2 weeks. I hope the swimming pool is heated or inside. It's still too cool to be swimming.

It stormed yesterday and we got another 3 inches of rain. It was flooding in Lafayette. Today is sunny and breezy and 65. Tomorrow it will probably be back to 80.

Finished with work for today but the scoring center is opening up and offering 5 overtime hours to our project tomorrow on Saturday. I will be going in for the shorter day. I need to drive up to Columbus tomorrow afternoon and drop off my grooming set up at the dog show to make sure that I can access electric and have space. Josef shows fairly early Sunday morning and I will need to arrive at the Expo Center by about 6 am and don't want to have to wander all over trying to fit my grooming table somewhere. They have a bunch of Breed Specialties on Saturday but I am hoping that there will be a few spaces available. It is only a one day All Breed show so there are only about 900 dogs expected total.

Josef still needs his nails dremeled and the fur around his feet trimmed tightly. We will see how long my energy last this evening. My body is thinking an early night is looking attractive.

A couple years before I started RVing I bought roller blades because I so enjoyed roller skating when younger. Needless to say I wasn't as good with roller blades. The bone from the ankle to the knee broke on both ends when I went down after hitting a stone. There went that method of exercising.

I not only didn't get out of work early today, it was my longest day this week. Ty and I are both exhausted.

About 25 years ago, I was thinking about getting some inline skates and skating around the neighborhood on the sidewalk or a nearby park for exercise. At the time, I was teaching in a classroom, and one of my fellow faculty members came in one day in wheelchair. He had broken his femur roller skating. He spent 6 months in what wheelchair and a large cast. Another woman had broken her arm from skating. That ended my skating ambitions. There are just some sports one should not attempt past age 45!

A couple of years ago, I spent several days at a state park along Lake Erie which is a major bird route from Canada. The female cardinals drove me crazy attacking my windows and pecking at the shiny hub caps. Every five minutes, one would fling herself at that other bird in the window, hitting her head as she encountered the glass. Closing the blinds did not help. I was trying to get work done and eventually found some ribbon that I taped in several places along the top of my motorhome. Since it was a windy day, it mostly helped.

I've noticed the birds everywhere are feeling the spring season!

played games today. We have a new gal joining I am not so sure that I am totally going to enjoy her but will need to get over me! She seems to get somewhat put out but perhaps it is just my take on her. Missing a baby shower tomorrow so we are going to do a video chat so I can be part of it... will be interesting I am sure. technology!!!! I remember my grandfather marveling about something to do with land lines then when they were more able to move around more.... and he made the comment at least you can't see the other person (the reason being you might not be dressed to visit with the other person) oh yep grandpa you can now!!!
cooling down outside it's 89 inside it's 88
my dd text me tonight we forgot there are cats in the house and my mom is allergic to them feel bad my mom was looking forward to going think more that she hasn't been out and about for most of the winter... I think she will for go going but at the same time don't think it would affect her as much as it has in the past as she doesn't seem to be bothered as much as she used to be when around those that are around cats...
I keep thinking that this summer I ought to try and take her some where but not sure where... she is 92
Tomorrow I ought to dump the tanks so I don't need to do that before I leave Monday. or just do it Monday but would like a fairly early start and have things that got taken out that will need to be put away... plants are out side and my metal flowers are as well...camping chair set up but won't take too long to redo. never thought about putting the carpet on the steps being a help to the pets ect... might need to look into it as some times Shadow has issues...
I saw something advertised the other day to put on windows to help deflect the birds so they don't hit the windows... wish I had taken it down so I would know what it was... oh well it surely will reappear
