Drizzly Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Drizzly Thursday

Postby JudyJB » Thu Apr 18, 2019 10:06 am

Supposed to be up to high 70s today, but so far all we have had are clouds and a little drizzle. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler and rainy. Kids have no school tomorrow and Monday, so tomorrow I am taking them to roller skating. Might even take one extra child since it is middle grandchild's birthday this weekend and she is having only a family party, not a kids party. We will see. In any case, I am obviously not going skating myself!

Not sure what we are doing on Easter, but we are not religious, so it will be quiet day, since it will be raining then, also. I had hoped to have a nice sunny weekend where I could take kids outdoors somewhere, but no luck. And then Monday, I will ride with son to the airport. He is also flying out, but an hour before my flight.

The last time I went roller skating, I was 19 and I tripped on my skates and landed on my face, getting knocked unconscious. Never skated again.

Being lazy in bed this morning. Looks nice outside tho. Need to get up and get a few things done before heading to work later.

No plans yet for Easter. Maybe church and/or the beach if it is nice out. What are all your plans for Easter??
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Rainy and a little chilly here too, but the rain is much welcomed. Just got back from RV dealer as my extra cupboard doors I ordered came in. Good timing, as I plan to uncover the trailer either this weekend or first of next week. Won’t take long to go install them.

As for Easter, no plans as yet. Looks to be a nice day, so may take a ride to Mackinaw City after church. Stop for something to eat someplace. Or could wind up staying home, going out for breakfast brunch instead. We shall see.

Garage is done other than a few little odds and ends. Need to make a space in a corner to have current refrigerator moved until I sell it, which hopefully won’t be long. Need to wait for new one to be delivered next week first.

Martha, we have a store called PakMail up here that will package and ship stuff. Too bad you don’t have one down there your DIL could use. Course she will pay $$ for that service.

My current plans for Easter are to take the day off! Maybe Saturday, too! Then I'll not know what to do with myself lol.

The UPS lady knows better! I've been waiting on an order due at the store since Tuesday. It was delayed. Finally today it showed it out for delivery. I watched the UPS truck drive past, but it always stops at the store coming back. So no biggie. Then about an hour later it sped past. Never pulled in. I went on line and it said delivered... To a front desk? Someone named Nixon signed for it? After a long phone call with a UPS headquarters, I asked how I should know what front desk, etc. The woman on the phone, I must say, was awesome. After taking all my information and understanding me... I was told someone from the Rapid City UPS would call within an hour and I'd have an email within 15 minutes confirming our conversation, etc. Both happened. I found out the front desk my box was at. They offered to have my driver pick the package up tomorrow and deliver to me but I figured something else would go wrong and walked the couple blocks. I'm thinking she knew we weren't open but we always get packages I order while preparing to open. I'm also sure she'll be stopping by to apologize. This happened with her once before. Never happened with her predecessor. And I wouldn't have been as frustrated if it had said what front desk... Or if there wasn't such a cold wind today and I was walking!

Ok, rant over.

Ouch Barbie! That had to hurt, when you went roller skating. I've never been and never will. LOL!

Beth, so glad you found your package.

I went to church this evening as today is Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter, and played for that service. Our church has services everyday this week, other than Saturday. Fortunately for me, tonight was the only service requiring music. We will attend the Sunday service, which hopefully will fill the church, and also the last Sunday I'll play until we return in the fall. That afternoon, several friends, including Brenda, will put on a going away meal for Steve & I. Brenda initiated this and we are forever grateful for her thinking of us. The three of us had a wonderful winter in Ocala.

Yesterday, we put our coach in shop to service the motorhome and generator. We were told are tires were in bad condition (the tread was good but too many cracks on the sidewalls), so today the motorhome went into another shop for 6 new tires. Needless to say, our checkbook is much lighter. But we want to go down the road safely and these are the things we have to stay on top of.

it's has been a do nothing day although I did check in and did hook up the water and I did vacuum so guess I did something I also left out the container of chocolate and nuts Hershey's something can't see it from here... yep left it out and it's been hot in in then I proceeded to pour out melted chocolate into my hand... oh and I also went on a ride into the desert in a Quad was a fun drive not long but fun one... friend stopped by and we decided to go for a drive so her dog could go for a run... not a bad way of taking the dog out
even sat out and did nothing nada didn't even have the phone in hand to play games... it's sure taking the electronics awhile to charge up not sure why but even after 6 hours the MIFI wasn't fully charged and it was only at half way
so that was my day I am so on the go that a day like this is heavenly as to Easter church and probably a nap haven't been invited anywhere so doubt I will make a fancy meal be lucky if it's not just soup
