My "special" friend ...

Postby Getupngo » Tue May 19, 2009 10:16 pm

 I took my moho to set up early for my volunteer gig this weekend, and invited a longtime bf/now platonic friend to go up there with me. Saturday night to Sunday morning. Honest to God he looked like a cornered dog. Which is funny because we normally get along really well, talk nearly every day and go do lots of things together. But I couldn't believe how funny he acted once we were "away." I've never been so uncomfortable in my own rig. I didn't even try to "talk" with a capital "T" (which usually freaks him out). I just giggle every time I think about it.

That's what independant women do to men. I think everything kinda crawls up inside if you know what I mean?

Yep Sparkle, know what you mean! Self-preservation on their part! Janice I'm sorry it was uncomfortable,... must have surprised the heck out of you . A lot of men react that way or get all officious and pompous to counteract our being strong and independent. Their loss.

Yeah. I asked him today what the #$&% that was about. He hadn't a clue ... and I
believe him. Not a clue.

HA ! When I read the title of this post I thought you had your period !!!!
I bet your friend was freaked out because he realized he had feelings for you and he was scared he might act on them !

More likely: he thought you had "feelings" for him and he didn't know what to do.

Thanks for the giggle - know exactly what you mean - and isn't it fun to have them quaking? Geez. And, yep, I bet he doesn't have a clue. At least not one he'll admit to.

He's the funniest one ... four years ago he told me he loved me ... a while
later I said it back ... he panicked .. he didn't remember saying it to me.
Stone cold sober.

Geez.

WIth me, he has no choice if he wants to be around.

I remember he said to me one time, "Just because I don't say it, doesn't mean I don't feel it." I might have to put up with that from a husband, but not dating. Sad, huh? No wonder he's never been married.
