Mid Week Wednesdsy

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mid Week Wednesdsy

Morning on this chilly April day. Coffee is on, help yourself. Wow Barbie, you are going to have buyers lined up at the door and a bidding war going. Hopefully you Will be able to sell the fridge or could always donate it if you can’t. I hate this big one that came with this house, planning to replace it. It’s a huge bottom freezer model, way bigger than need for myself and the ice maker takes up almost half of the top tray in the freezer. I want to go back to a top mount freezer. I got more stuff in my old house’s top mount freezer than I can get in this one. The door space takes all the little stuff out of the way. Decided to see if Habitat might like to have it. Unless I decided to advertise it first. Can always have it moved to my garsge temporarily if I go that route.

Beth, glad you made it to Keystone. Now to ride out the storm. It’s heading this way, but it’s track is to our west. So we will see some freezing rain, maybe a trace to an inch of snow followed by heavy rain. The heaviest snow is headed for the far western U.P., northern WI and MN.

More garage project work today. Weather was too damp yesterday plus with afternoon appt., followed by dog walk, didn’t go out there. Things are progressing pretty good. Hoping to accomplish more today. So, onward and upward. Have a great day all.

Good morning. A much better weather day with clouds and sun and fairly warm out 48° right now. I went out and pulled a few weeds and moved a couple of my plants out to the sunshine from my shed. I need to go to Home Depot and get fertilizer and a few yard blooms before planting season. I usually dont plant my tomatoes or squash until the first couple weeks of May. But I want to get my raised beds weeded and fertilized. Then I will need to check my watering system sprinklers and drips.

Playing Mexican train this afternoon so cant really get into anything real heavy. So far just have the Roomba going and swept the kitchen floor. Now doing some price comparison for a few things I need in the future. Love comparing on line instead of going store to store.

The high for today happened about 7am ... I think 25 degrees lol. We haven't gotten much snow but what we have was covered by freezing rain and all day today we're seeing more snow. So it's only a matter of how much. Ty and I did get a walk in this morning and I know we'll have to do that a couple more times. I'm looking forward to temps rising in a couple days and seeing highs above freezing again. Sunday into the 50's! Anyway, my best intentions of going in the store today have fizzled out. Maybe tomorrow. I'm really glad I stopped and topped off my propane and also for my quilted window coverings. It's like a cocoon in here and those really help. Up until now I could only gauge their effectiveness against the sun and heat.

Happy Wednesday.

On my way to Medford and then Eugene tomorrow. Pretty drive from a Susanville. Snow in mountains but dry pavement and little traffic. Got to get another pair of long pants for my trip to Ohio next week! Been so nice to wear shorts last month.

Mandy cat is better today, eating as often as I'll feed her after being unable to eat since Saturday. So grateful she's improving after visit to vet.
Beth, did you make your quilted window covers?
Cool and breezy here today with clear skies. Yesterday while a friend was weed eating for me, he came across a nest with 9 large eggs. Pretty sure it's one of our wild turkeys. Hope they hatch. I did hear a turkey about 7 this morning!
Kind of taking a break today after 2 days of running around plus short on sleep 2 nights with Mandy. Did get to Curves, but otherwise reading and catching up.
My fledgling Law Enforcement Officer, my son, graduates in 4 weeks then it's off to POST skills training. Scares me but so proud of his accomplishments including a near straight A average! Amazing how paying for it yourself motivates one to do well in something you love!
Have a good evening all.

Well, two of the offers are no longer on the table. One has bad credit and wasn't approved for the park, and there were some financial issues with the other offer. So we have the third one which is the woman from Bend, OR. It is a cash offer and her house is closing on May 10th which is also a cash deal. She hasn't seen the house yet but saw a video the real estate agent took while walking thru the house. We made a counter offer tonight for the Oregon buyer. It will be contingent on her coming down to see it, hopefully soon. Financially, she looks to be in good shape and is pretty likely to be approved by the park. It is a full-priced offer.

Am very tired today. Have tomorrow off. Need to find a place to get my taxes done. I want to avoid H&R Block this year because they are too expensive.

My hyacinth plant is spreading its sweet, lovely scent all thru my house! Yum!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Velda, yes and no. I don't quilt and I don't sew. So I purchased inexpensive quilts and there was no cutting or sewing involved. I folded them and turned them over the tension rods I used. Because each of the three windows are different sizes, all are folded differently. Then came the hardest part. I used safety pins to pin through the layers of quilt about an inch below the rod. One is lifted up and rests on the valance to "open". The other two can either open by sliding carefully half way or if I want it completely open I can simply lift the tension rods over the brackets they rest on and lower the entire curtain/quilts. My own inventions lol

Beth, my real estate agent in Indio has the same voice as you. When I talk to her on the phone it sounds just like you, and you have a very distinctive voice.

Beth, I own a sewing machine and do a minimum of sewing, but I am very talented with the iron-on tape you can use to seam things! Sewing machine is in Ohio, so no access, but I used the tape to make the black mesh sun-shield I use on my front window to cut down on the glare. Rolled over the edges and ironed tape on and then used a snap kit to attach it to the existing snaps. You just put one part on each side and lay the assembly on something like a rock and hit it with a hammer--my kind of sewing!

Will be waiting to hear good news on your sale, Barbie.

All good ideas, Judy, but I didn't need to seam anything and I also don't have an iron lol... I also wanted as many layers as possible... The quilt over my bedroom window was able to be folded to have 4 layers, for example. And I match the pattern up. I spent a couple years planning to have a friend make window covers... I'm thrilled with what I did...

I do have, somewhere in here, that iron on stuff. Last winter I purchased it for other ideas. There was an iron on the rv park laundry. I never got around to those ideas.
