Crazy! Just got a 3rd offer on the house for $5K over asking price!! And another showing at 1pm tomorrow! St Joseph is doing his thing! I am amazed that fixing up this house has made such a big difference in selling this house! It was on the market for over 6 months before I bought it and it had come down over $20 from original price by then. I feel pretty good now about all the work I put into this!

Will see what happens tomorrow!

It just shows what a good job you did fixing it up! And it also shows how most people want a new-looking house with everything in good shape. Most either do not want to or cannot do all the painting or work you did.

So, if the one buyer accepts your counter-offer, does that mean you cannot accept the buyer who is willing to pay an extra $5,000? What if someone offered even more, like $10,000?

BJ, besides the unpleasantness of walking in surprises too too early in the morning, there is that, "I don't think it is anything serious, but it might be, so I must watch for additional symptoms," level of alert for the rest of the day.

Oh my!! TOO true! I have "been there" many, many times!!

Sometimes to the point that I stay home to "watch", when I had been previously scheduled to be out and about.

I guess once we agree to all terms and sign the paperwork, then I can't take other offers,but that hasn't happened yet so I can still accept a higher offer until the contract is signed by both parties.
