Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rabbits check-in. yes I remembered before I went to bed last night.
I've been hunkered down in SE AL waiting for severe weather to clear at home. Looks like I can make a run for it tomorrow.
Sure hope I can find a way to see Lyn while she is in the east.

Sarah, is there any time when there isn't bad weather at your house?

Yes, catnip is very invasive and grows, well...like a weed! I planted some once in my garden and it took over within a couple weeks and grew about a foot per day! Crazy stuff! But my cat wanted nothing to do with it, nor do either of my cats now. They do like the dried stuff tho.

Joan, good to see you posting again. Good luck on the sale of your house.

Not getting too far today. Went to pick up my screens and then had breakfast out on the Oceanside pier at Ruby's Diner. I have a doctor appt at 4pm. Gotta get outside here for a few hours before then and get something done.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Judy just as an FYI there is a great campground in Hawthorne NV called Whiskey Flats I have stayed there many times but it is a couple of hours north of Tonopah. I always come home from Reno thru Susanville (ya know up by Eagle lake) then go 44 to 89 to Weed. Then just come up I-5 which you know. It is about 225 miles from Reno to Weed. Should be fine this time of year.

Hello everyone! It's always good reading what everyone is doing on the first day of the month!

I did remember to say "Rabbits" this morning and hope it helps. Our accountant contacted us the end of last week to let us know our tax returns were ready to pick up, so I emailed them and asked if they could fax the pages for us to sign so they could be e-filed. We got those today and we're getting a refund!!! Can't remember the last time that happened so maybe saying rabbits works! Today, Brenda, Steve & I went shopping as I was looking for palazzo's to wear to a wedding. I bought two pair, one with a matching top. Now I have to decide which one to wear for the wedding. We were happily surprised with the lunches we got at Steak and Shake, our first visit there, and all of us had a great lunch and treated ourselves to a milkshake for desert. Happy April everyone!

Definitely not morning anymore, and you know me, forgot rabbits as usual.

Got voicemail today the TT is fixed and ready for pick up. Thinking 1 day drive down there (MS) so I can get to dealer early AM to look it over and hopefully get on the road for the way back, with a one night stop. If I take 2 days to drive down, I wouldn't want to be hitting the road mid-afternoon, and take 2 nights coming back to IL. Also have checked weather, and looks like rain in IL & MS thru Thursday, with Friday, Saturday & Sunday being better for the drive back. Dad will come with me. I'm a bit skittish to drive since the axle needed to be replaced. I need the moral support (for now).

Ma is out of the hospital for a week-plus and seems to be OK (except for the attitude lol), but the entire community is pretty much on quarantine because of noro (sp?) virus. Just another reason she's crabby because they have closed the dining room and are bringing trays to the residents in their apartments.

One other thing I'm working on is health insurance. Stupid government won't approve me for Texas coverage even tho I've supplied a DL, Insurance, proof of health insurance (within last 60 days), voters card and passport. May end up calling a broker in TX to see if I can get insurance directly thru them. I may have a stroke dealing with those people since you can NOT talk to the people who review your documentation. I'm guessing would have been the same deal thru the ACA no matter what state I chose as a domicile.

That's it from me. Have a good month ladies.

Almost open up the morning coffee thread this morning. Today was my first day to report back to the scoring center. The first three days this week I will be on my own reading through the project materials for the 8th grade writing project that I have been asked to be Scoring Director on in the middle of May. This will be a new role for me but the project is only a couple weeks long and doesn't have a large team of readers so I am speculating that it might be a decent one to test the waters with. I start on Thursday as a Team Leader on a different project from a different state. Still evaluation of writing but 5th grade. Evaluating student proficiency is both scary and exhilarating. Again think of that "bell curve". You get to read the saddest instances that demonstrate how little a student is able to perform and then you read these beautiful stellar passages that you can'y believe were written by a 10 year old. You can also see trends when instances come in waves from high performing classes/districts. And the lows when the waves seem to reflect the opposite. Scoring student's work also makes me think of the "bell curve" of hard working teachers and their skill levels.....

So, I will be hanging around Ohio until sometime in June with only a few escapes planned for weekend only dog shows. I won't be able to run out on Friday to manage those long drives.

Yesterday's UKC dog show in Kentucky was all the fun Josef gets for a couple weeks. There were four shows. He got a Group 3 and a Group 2 on Saturday. On Sunday he got two Group 1's and a Reserve Best in Show. He tried to lord it over Audrey but she wouldn't listen.

Time to relax and then off to bed early. This waking up in the morning takes some planning.

I am also working on maintaining decent eating habits and proportions for the duration of this sitting and working on computers for the next two months. I will say that my knees and ankles feel much better than they did last year.

PS: Please no strokes, Cheryl......to many places to go, people to see and things yet to do!

Well, while Sarah is sitting in SE AL waiting on the storms to pass, I am playing a little down in FL with Liz and Bob now. Paulette and Claudia left for home on Sunday. Sarah left us for western FL last week. I will head back to TX this weekend and then see what is on the calendar. I need a trip this year. Working on where I want to go and what I want to do. Had to replace my tow bar as mine wore out. Probably would have lasted longer had I done the maintenance on it. Pricey lesson to learn, so if you tow, have the tow bar given it’s maintenance check every year! Oh, and my A/C is not cooling! Yikes! Maybe I won’t be traveling this summer!!! Oh, No it is way to hot in TX! I plan to go north.

Be safe out there and have fun on the road!

Went to the doctors with a possible UTI, but they said the test came back negative. They still wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic -just in case. Well that prescription is $72! Not sure what happened with my insurance on that but I am not paying that much money for something I probably don't need. Still not sure what is causing my symptoms tho. Just peeing a lot and an uncomfortable feeling before I go, but no burning during or after.

My roommate is upset with me. I pulled the weeds in the raised garden. It was 3 feet high with stinging nettles and a bunch of other stuff. Couldn't even see what was originally planted in there. Once I got down far enough I tried to keep what I could identify as good plants, like onions, etc. Didn't even know there was a small pumpkin in there until I got the weeds pulled out. It was rotten and half eaten by something. In one corner was a big beautiful plant full of flowers so I made sure to work around that. So today, I texted my roommate and told her what I did and asked if she had plans for the flowering plant as I would have a perfect place to replant it in front. She got all pissy about it, saying to leave it alone and not touch her plants. So I get home from the doctor this evening and she was home. She went into her room and slammed the door and hasn't come out since. (So are we 5, having a temper tantrum??). She obviously wasn't taking care of the garden at all so not sure why she is so upset. I just can't win for losing with anyone right now.

I didn't get nearly enough done today but got the creekside done and put down red mulch in the flower garden and the little meditation area I created. Looks a ton better! Just a little bit left to do in front and back yet and some cleaning up in the carport. Need to also clean up the outside porch yet. Then all my indoor cleaning and organizing! Lots to get done tomorrow!

I am heading off to bed soon (9pm). I didn't sleep too well last night so am hoping I can get a good night sleep tonight so I wake up refreshed in the morning. I know I will be sore tomorrow tho because I am already sore tonight!

Good night!

Just getting in on roll call by a thread. ;)

Love hearing what everyone is up to.

Not much new here. Still working fulltime but starting to dream about retiring. Sometimes the challenges are more than I really want to handle - they were fun in my younger years, but it's not as much fun anymore. Plus its just dang frustrating since I work at somewhat a handicap by being remote. Not as easy to be kept in the loop when there are problems with the network or servers.
Planning a road trip back to Kansas around Memorial Day. Haven't done a long drive like that since I came out here over 3 years ago. Allowing 3-4 days each way - hopefully I'll take some time to stop & smell the roses along the way. Might talk to my director about someway to cut back my hours & responsibilities in 2020.

That's about it. Olivia is growing too fast. She's a hoot to be around though. Never know what she's going to say or do.

Well, I'm going to bed. 5:20 comes around pretty early.
Take care out there.

Well I'm saying it's still the 1st since I haven't been to bed yet! I said rabbits though I may have spoken to the cat first. She is now on twice daily RX to lower her hyperthyroid. I think she and I are finally coming to the understanding called , you don't have to like it, but I'm da boss and you will get your 0.25 cc in whether you like it or not then get a treat. What a pitiful cry when I have picked her up and she knows it's coming !
I had taxes almost done when I realized the Navy never sent Mel's 1099 R for January through September. And boy are they hard to reach by phone. It was so easy until I realized that one item was missing! I am going to get a refund, just don't know how much yet.
Battery charger on van so hoping it will hold a charge long enough so I can take it tomorrow for the new Interstate AGM for engine. Have appointment next monday with Harp RV in Lincoln CA, a place I've heard mentioned here in past I think.
Rained a little today. Not much else going on.
Have a good week everyone.

this month went fast and April looks like it will as well
still not sure when I will leave guess when I am packed up ready to go and the winds allow it...
going to Ogden get stuff out of 5th wheel that I deem necessary and then up to Blackfoot to store it until the space in Tetonia is dry.. might need to return to Vegas at some point but will do that when needed . hopefully that won't be next week
it is weird being out here all by myself.... don't mind it totally but part of me does.
Lyn you could stop by here....
you all take care after running the batteries way down and it's been cloudy today trying to not stay on internet as long
