Thankful to know that you have arrived at your new home, Ava. It is difficult to worry about multiple things at the same time. Take care of yourself. We are here in Q if you figure out a way to escape.

there is an old song out there with stanza's that have in it I'm so pretty repeated don't remember more than that but right now that could be my song only the words would be changed to I'm so stupid repeated multiple times...
last night went to make hot chocolate and no flame so went out to switch tanks and the gauge didn't turn green so thinking perhaps it was something to do with the hose put the full tank where to empty one had been still no green... so turned them off but left hooked up went inside and could smell propane went out and unhooked them and today after church (I try really hard not to go to stores on Sunday) to fill the tank again thinking perhaps it was the cylinder still no green...called a friend and asked if Joe her neighbor knew what to do....so while I took some freezer stuff into town to a friends freezer and to get ice for the coolers he came out and fixed it it was showing green went into house and so strong of propane went out and turned it off and still smelled propane and he had turned them on really tight had to even go to the neighbor's and ask for help... got them unhooked talked to my friend we agreed that was what I needed to do then just 1/2 hour ago she called and asked if the pilot light was on my immediate response was no why would it be then I said I really hope it would be that easy I really don't think it is but will check hence I feel so stupid... yes it was on now off and the propane is hooked up and no odor at all so glad but boy I feel ....
that was my day
of course found out after the cold cereal for supper

Sheila, I'm glad you took the right precautions. And I'm also glad it turned out to be an easy fix.

Do you have a working propane detector? It should have been screaming its head off loudly enough to be heard outside. If you don't have one, please go buy one and get it hooked up right away. It should be near the floor because propane is heavy.

Glad you were not hurt.

Stirring the campfire here, its overcast and were expecting rain. Made a cup of hot chocolate, kinda hit the spot as I needed just a touch of caffein. The shed I ordered from Amazon finally arrived today. Huge box, sealed in plastic to protect it from weather. Will wait until after the rain and the ground dries out to put it together, probably the weekend of 23. My friend Martin says he'll come in from Parker to help put it together. Told him he could stay in the motorhome for his overnight. This Saturday I can put the platform together. In the meantime I'm still transferring my belongings from motorhome to fifthwheel. I work slow in between working and Dr appt.Echocardiogram next week, blood yesterday and missed the call to schedule the scan for calcium in the heart. Will call them back tomorrow. It's a simple ct scan from what I understand.

Hi ladies~just stoking the fire a bit.

Due to cold weather (Roswell, NM) and high winds expected for the next week or so in Amarillo, TX, change of plans and headed to west Texas for a few days. Still a bit windy, but 20°+ warmer.
Nice, clean park. Horses allowed too, but none currently here. Unfortunately, I'm skipping the quarterhorse museum I wanted to visit and Palo Duro Canyon SP, both near Amarillo and north I was looking forward to visiting. Some other time I guess.

The one time I went through Amarillo the Quarter Horse Museum was closed. I have been a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for over 50 years. If you make it to Ft Worth tour the old stock yard area. They drive some long horn cattle through there. I'm not sure if it's everyday but probably is. We talked to some of the cowboys and they told us that some of the big ranches take turns sending some of their cowboys to handle the cattle. Billy Bob's is in that area too. The National Cowgirl Museum is interesting. If you like western art go to the Amon Carter Museum. They have some original Remington and Russell art and sculptures.

Thanks Martha. I'll keep them in mind but I have no real clue where I'm heading next. And good thing I don't have a house anymore or I'd probably buy home decorations. :?

too windy to go out and start a campfire besides that what is the fun of that for ones self??? It's cooler tonight so a fire would feel good. I have so much that needs to be burned... keep thinking I will do it tomorrow then the winds are up now I will be gone for 10 days or so so won't be able to ...perhaps Alice will while I am gone if I ask nicely... Alice is in her van and the trailer is over by Kerry's rather Jerry's so he can work on it ...make it road worthy just little over a month left here in the desert.. what I will do then is hard to say... it gets to this time of the year and I am almost ready to just go home but I am home by home I mean to see family and to be plugged in it's getting old not having the use of the generator... gives me an excuse not to vacuum  tried the sweeper was easier than using a hand brush but not the best job in the world...
talked myself into not going for pancake bk and getting some pear cactus syrup figured the ad wasn't saying last BK for the season so I would go when I come back then I opened the paper yep it's the last one for the season so now need to talk myself back into the mood of going not sure if it will work..
be safe out there

I also don't like to make a campfire when I am alone. I never made one while I was traveling across the country out here. Seems like something that should be shared.

I love to build a campfire even if I am by myself.it’s a part of camping. I like to sit and watch the fire, the night come on, the stars come out etc. if I am by a lake, the light s of boats that may be out or the cottages and homes around it’s Shore. I don’t make one when I’m traveling to places though or on too warm nigh S. A lot of times, especially at my favorite park in the U.P. I get invited to join others st their fire. Nice way to meet new people.

Time to stoke the fire again~~~

For those not on Facebook... I headed home to Illinois early because my Ma is in the hospital. Bad infection, but they think she may be discharged in a day or two.

On the first day heading home, 2 1/2 hours into the drive, in a podunk little town in Louisiana, an idiot pulled out of an on street parking place and hit the new trailer. Thank God the new truck wasnt hit, but the axle on the trailer is bent plus some cosmetic damage. Took forever (6+ hours) to find heavy wrecker and low boy flatbed in order to get the TT to a dealer for repairs in Mississippi. I drove straight thru to Illinois and am staying at Dads while trying to deal with Ma & trying to get the trailer fixed ASAP.

Punkin & I are both OK. I'm just tired and just keep telling myself that God doesnt give you more than you can handle.

Well that's it from me. That's enough right? ;)

Remember we keep beer and wine in the wood shed next to that campfire.....just Incase you need some adult beverage. Oh, and check and see if the hot tub is still set up. A little relaxation is needed. Hope your Mom is able to fight the infection well and return to her so “happy place”.....
