Damp Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Damp Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Mar 14, 2019 8:55 am

Morning everybody. Mild, damp day here in Michigan. Been raining, melting snow, causing issues as no place for water to go with piles of snow and frozen ground. Turning snow covered roads into skating rinks. I have a new swimming pool in my side yard. Anybody for a polar plunge  Actually might by more like a wet foot plunge  Hope those of you experiencing the wrath of Winter Storm Ulmer are doing okay.. really wild Weather out there in the middle of the country. This storm has been called a “bomb cyclone” or bombogenisis as the Weather people call it. It’s a storm that forms when a warm front collides with a cold front and then has a pressure drop of 24 millIbars or more in less than 24 hours, normally over open water, but rarely inland. It becomes a very powerful storm. The winds have been ferocious, as if I need to tell you that :)

Scrapbooking day here for me today. Did a bit of minor “fix it” things in the house yesterday, so good to go. Not goi g out today, no doggie walks either, the which of will not make Molly happy. Well, me neither as they are a part of my daily routine.

For those of you who have been asking or are interested, I posted pictures of my trailer remodel that was done last spring in Show Off Your Rigs. I know some of you want to see my basement workshop remodel and they will be forthcoming, soon as I get the pics into my computer.

Morningbis moving along here, time to get dressed and accomplish something. Have a nice day and stay safe in the storm, in the roads, wherever you are.

Nice sunny day here but chilly. Am hunkered under a blanket on my recliner right now. Even the cats, who wanted to go out on the porch, are back inside to warm up.

Head is still congested but no coughing so far.

Have a few things to do around here today. Don't have to go in to work until 4.

One of my meetup groups is having a bonfire on the beach tomorrow night. Sounds like fun so I might just join in on that!

Have a good day and don't get blown away!

Good afternoon. I'm still roaming around in FL tho trip is rapidly coming to an end. Have moved back into the northern part of state to see a few new to me places and people.

Hanging out on my porch right now watching the masses of butterflies going by! So cool!

Have been working on some small painting projects in the house but then my roommate started cooking and turned on the wrong burner that had a burner cover on it and it started to burn so it smells awful in the house. So I am out here getting some fresh air and taking a break. Waiting for my camera and phone batteries to charge up so I can take some video of the butterflies!
