Spring Fever Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Spring Fever Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:54 am

Morning gals. Sun is rising in the eastern sky and with it the temps as well. Nothing to brag about, but after these past 3 days of below zero lows and windchills, anything in the 20’s and 30’s will feel like a heat wave  Especially now that we are feeling more warmth from the sun. As the days get longer and our temps start rising, I am getting spring fever. Couse with 28 inches of white stuff out there and the fact that more of vthatand cold will come again before it’s over, will temper that feeling  Gotta finish up my inside house cleaning and couple other little things. When it’s sunny and bright out, my mood for doing things inside goes out the window. Would rather be out, even if it’s just for a walk with the dogs. But the time for rides to wherever is approaching too.

Karen, you are like me in that I am a morning person too. By 9:00 I’m usually into things or heading to town for shopping etc. and once our snow is gone, I really get a morning move on. I would rather get moving in the morning and get things done so that by mid afternoon, I can quit and enjoy the remainder of the day. Having a couple of pups who like an afternoon walk helps too  Judy, glad to got into CA safely. Enjoy your freedom for awhile. Martha, hope you don’t get hit with any bad storms either. We ave a major spring storm coming Sunday with rain, snow and freezing rain. Not looking forward to that mess.

So, time to be off and get busy. I painted my living room couple days ago and want to finishing odds and ends in there. Only have my bedroom and two bathrooms to finish spring cleaning and done with that. Been making some cosmetic changes along rhe way for a change of scenery. Have a great day all.

Good morning
Called in sick this morning but will go in this afternoon if I feel better. My own stupid fault for not taking my medicine last night. It sure screwed me up.
I already feeling like a nap is in order and I just might do that. It's a little bit overcast this morning but its 63 and feels pretty good. Wish I had the energy to get something done but that just isn't happening.
Actually, I'm kind of fed up with not having any energy. Will be glad when doctors decide what the hell is wrong with me cause this is certainly not normal.
Well enough from me, I'm going back to bed.

Made it safely to the driveway and through most of the unloading. As I had figured it was still cold but the sun was shining and I even heard a bird or two singing which made it feel warmer as I carted the loads into the house and moved items into my storage shed. The Hornbeck went back on the porch to wait for a real spring. I still have the hanging clothes to bring in but I am already three loads completed with the laundry and a trip to the grocery store for things that I eat. If it doesn't snow today I will knock out a few more errands between laundry loads. The rugs and heavy stuff will need to wait until I take them into a laundromat. There is not sense in trying to make the home machines work that hard.

Some of my clothes for the dog shows and a wool skirt I picked up at the Thrift store in my recent travels need to be dry cleaned. I am excited to "play dress up" again this week as I managed to leave another 10 pounds out there along the road and in those state park campground. (That makes it at least 30 pounds this round. Thanks to all of my friends for not trying to stuff me with calories I do not need at my age.) The dogs just smile because they try to take credit for all of it. Walk, walk walk and walk again. Several of the dog show outfits that I have found in the Thrift Stores should fit me again, or at last. It all depends upon how long I have had them. It is nice to be able to bend over and or kneel down and not be afraid that you are going to split a seam. That it so distracting. Oh, and I need to hop up the road to Columbus and pick up the Josef boy from Camp Cindy's. Lark will be happy to have her "wrestling" partner back. She tries to play with Audrey but it just isn't the same.

I got my back to work e-mail. My project starts on April 4th. I should be able to get a few thing accomplished around here before I return to the world of work schedules and long days.

Stay warm out there. I really did hear those birds singing yesterday. I am going to trust their instincts.

Good Morning All, overcast day but have had some sunshine which I really need. So many rainy gloomy days has really affected me mentally. This has been a difficult few months physically and mentally. The first sunny day I threatened to stand in front of the sliding door naked to get the full effect of the sun. A friend talked me down. She told me to drink a glass of wine. Tina, glad you are safe in the driveway. Ava, search “medline plus” to check on medication you are taking. Medication can cause extreme fatigue. Safe travels.

Good Morning. Not sure what the weather will bring today. Right now cloudy, some patches of blue sky, fog is rolling in but not thick, so if the sun comes out it will be gone.

Small projects today. Want to vacuum and shampoo my spare bedroom carpet. Then that will be done for quite a while as it doesnt get too much traffic. Then I can put my shampooer away for a while. Will then steam mop the kitchen, family area and guest bathroom floor. Looking forward to some warmer weather so I can get outside and work in the yard. Yay for DST this weekend. Just wish it would stay the same year round oh well probably will never happen here.

Shirl, I'm sick of the gray, overcast days too. I haven't thought about standing in the door naked yet. I thought about drinking some wine the other day but didn't think it was a good idea. I can't remember why I didn't think it was a good idea. I noticed this morning that my face is chapped from walking in the cold wind. It looks like they have moved the severe storm warning for Saturday more North.

Tina, glad you made it back to your driveway. I hate the unloading and washing after a trip. You made me laugh about splitting a seam. I was running barrels one time and my pant split up the inside seam from my knee all the way up. The arena was only about a mile from my house so I didn't stop, just kept going til I got home. I made my riding outfits back then and of course, everything had to be skin tight.

I am thinking about mixing up a spray tank of weed killer and going to spray the driveway at the property North of here. They never did cut hay there all last year because it was so wet and it's hard to tell the driveway from the ditch. I think my kayak is suppose to be delivered today and I would like to be here. Hopefully UPS won't be too late. Today might not be a good day to spray anyway because it's still pretty windy.

Today is the day to put the trash out and I need to work on filling up the can. There is so much junk on the old carport that should be easy.

Yes, Spring Fever...the Red Buds down at PetCo Park are popping out!!! We are still having small, don't last long showers around here. It is definitely warming up.
I do not even sit naked in my living room as it is a "fish bowl". I love all the windows in this condo. Lyn

actually accomplished most that was on the mental list... didn't do what wasn't on it though... and should have but then the nap that wasn't on the list wouldn't have happened.. the RV teck called that part isn't going to be cheap... ugh... if it is as expensive as he thought it could be won't happen I am afraid... just realize it's the part for the generator... but he didn't know what the size of it was and all I could recall is that it isn't big enough for the A/C so that might bring it down some hopefully enough as it was it was almost as much for the part as the whole generator cost in 2006. why not buy a new one?? for one familiarity another is there is a place for this one not sure that a new one would fit the space.. but we will see what I have to do all that it has effected is my watching tv still can stay up late to read if the sun shines enough if not well have lanterns. what does one do with 3 gas cans full of gas when I get ready to leave for points north??? I have a diesel truck so using it there won't work
