Not for me it isnt a boondock event LOL I am staying at JGW RV Park. There are lots of RV parks in Redding so I guess something for everyones pocketbook. I just like this one as it suits my needs and is close to the fairgrounds in Anderson where the Pow Wow is and not far from Redding where the Sundial Bridge is located. It runs about $40 a night at least that was what it was last year.

Thanks Karen. I'll check into that place. I'd like to be near some of you finally. I just can't decide until son knows more if he will go to work right away or have time off for my visit because my plan is to head south from MN to sister in laws in KS then work my way back west.

Please keep us all posted when you all start to make reservations for this event. Have some "issues" going on here, so am not sure I can make it.

But Redding is only around two hours from me. GTG's generally don't get much closer to me than that!

I, too, would want at least electric hookups, and maybe the whole deal. I think my days of "roughing it" are over. If they ever were "here" for me.

I like my creature comforts.

I talked with JGW RV Park today. She has no one signed in for Oct at this time. She said if we would get together and send her the info on our rigs, she will park us rogether! If someone wants to do this, mt rig is a TT 15 feet. If no one wants or do this, send me your info and I will be glad to do it. I caN stay for 3, 4, or 5 nights. What others want.

I’d like to see what everyone else is thinking about in terms of when they’ll arrive and leave. Possibility for me would be arriving on Oct. 4, but not knowing what others are planning and want to do, I’m not sure when to leave. Hopefully others can let us know what they have in mind and anything special they’d like to do in addition to the Pow Wow.

I am thinking of coming Thursday and leaving possibly Monday depending on the weather. Last year we had great weather. Will go to the Pow Wow on Saturday as all they have on Friday is the Grand Entry and they have that every day. Saturday worked out good for us last year, we spent pretty much the whole day there.

I am happy to make reservations for anyone who is committing to coming so we can pretty much all be together. You can PM me your name, rig type and dates you will be there. I know it is a ways away so if I make your reservation and you decide you cannot make it, it will be your responsibility to cancel your own reservation.

This sounds like so much fun!! Wish I could be there. I will be in Oregon in September but will be back in WI by end of Sept. Look forward to pictures and comments from those who attend.

I still have this in mind but on hold until after I take Mandy cat to UCD vets Wednesday for her hyperthyroid as she turned out to not tolerate the usual RX so will hopefully be eligible for I-131 treatment for which she will go on a Monday and stay until Friday until the radiation clears. I need to know she is ok to be with my sons care as he doesn’t drive if she needed a vet visit. I really hope t9 make it to the pow wow.

Has anyone been in touch with JGW rv park of late?

I have tried phoning them, no answer. I have tried using their online contact form, I receive an error message. When I have tried to email them, I have received a "Permanent Failure" message.

Thanks.

Thanks for trying for me, Karen. I tried several times during the day today, and always just got the recording. I hope all there are well. I will try again tomorrow.
