Thursday, dry and warm

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, dry and warm

Postby Irmi » Thu Feb 07, 2019 11:31 am

Good morning while it's still morning! We will get into the low to mid 80's here with lots of sunshine. We've been sitting outside for a good part of the morning but the a/c is on in case we decide to come in and be more comfortable.

My sister and her hubby are on their way here from Daytona Beach to spend a little time with us. Her hubby is recovering from Lymphoma and is finally able to get out of the house since his immune system is stronger.

Wishing all of you a good Thursday and hope the group at Hardee Lake are having fun.

Hi Irmi,
Long past morning, but just stopping in to say Hi.
80's sound nice. We were cold out here in CA this morning - in the 40's & only low 60's right now - nearly perfect compared to what the rest of the country is getting.

The office (in KS) closed due to the icy roads today. I went ahead & worked & got more done than usual. I used to be able to juggle a multitude of tasks at a time, but now each email, meeting & instant message really diverts my focus & it takes me a while to get back on track. Plus I wasn't tied to their timeframes & schedules so I was able to take Sadie to get groomed, stopped at the store & got laundry done. Felt really free while making real progress on my work. Nice.

Now to run a couple of errands. It's my son's & son-in-law's bday today so need to get some stuff ready for a birthday weekend.

Hope those in the freezing zones get some relief & everyone else stay where it's warm.
Take care,
Catherine

I need to go out and cover the plants before I forget and or it gets really cold... was minding my own business when I got a phone call voice on other end said she just finished with her appt and was going to Parker do I want to go with well not really but will... so went and just got home not too long ago... got some necessary items sunflower seeds for the birds treat for Shadow and books well there where a few other items but that was the brunt of it.. I know I hate driving at night and by my self so thought it would be a good thing to do. so the books didn't get sorted through but friend just said to bring them to her and she would read them then take them over to library... works for me
guess I ought to go put stuff away and cover the plants
stopped at Taco Bell and got something to eat but it wasn't easy to do in car..so waited nacho's that had gotten cool and soggy  need to remember not to do that again...but when riding you pretty much go along with what the driver wants

I'm reading in bed... It's already cold in here. Good thing I like jello plans. A friend called today and asked if I was still staying tomorrow. If so she would drive 3 plus hours to visit. I extend my stay and offered hey my couch... She'll be here sometime tomorrow morning. She's never been here before so maybe I'll talk her into staying a second night. Or I will so that she can see more before leaving. We'll talk about that tomorrow... Add my current site is booked for Saturday, but moving wouldn't be a big deal.

My brain quit on me this morning... Or yesterday afternoon. When I got here I saw the big saguaro right next to my site and considered how it might effect my solar. Then yesterday I thought, I'd like my door to open by the picnic table area (completely forgetting the reason I parked as I did). This morning I couldn't figure out why my batteries weren't fully charged... Normally they are much earlier. I got out, walked around the saguaro, up the ladder and saw both panels more than half on the shade. Duh! Rolled forward to my earlier position and voila, charged right up. I have no idea where I left my brain yesterday when I moved. It wasn't a problem then...
