The women did wonderful work with the temperatures. It cools off in the night but the stars look marvelous! The sun is shining and back in Ohio it is noon already! The dogs have walked and we are ready for another day to explore and be with friends.

Tina So Glad the weather is cooperating and you get to visit with friends. I kind of missed that part when I was there it was just too cold and windy.

Good Morning. Altho it is almost over here in the West. Sun is shining but more rain expected which is good, just hope the winds behave themselves today.

Going to run some errands in town this morning. Then picking up Malia Lane as we are going to lunch and grocery shopping. Going to have her sign my book while I am there.

Still working on the kitchen but kind of got distracted with my bread machine LOL My initial loaf turned out okay but the shape was in the form of a dome LOL tasted good. So reading the "troubleshooting" section said to cut back on the yeast. I only made the small 1lb loaf so maybe next time I will try the 1.5lb loaf in a couple of days. I toasted a slice this morning and it was very good. I want to learn to make some grainy, nutty breads but starting with basics first LOL

Okay errand time, hope everyone has a great day.

Split pea soup is on the stove and simmering, so if anyone wants to stop by for lunch or dinner, it is here and waiting! I put in a lot of ham and it looks and smells fantastic.

Took my car back, so car-less for a few days. I will need to go out for propane, but maybe I can wait until Saturday. It goes so fast in this cold weather, although not raining at this moment, which is good, but expected to resume this evening. Got lots to do to keep me busy inside, however. Wish i were in Quartzite, however.

Had a great day out with my friend Malia Lane. We had a Mongolian BBQ lunch, then she needed some stuff at a grocery store and so did I so we ended up going to 3 stores ha ha AND a pharmacy She is having quite a bit of discomfort on the right side of her neck. I palpated her neck above the dressing and I can feel the good sized lump underneath. She has good pain meds tho from the Hospice nurses that see her 3 times a week and changes her dressing. She still has a super outlook and remains totally comfortable with her decisions.

Tomorrow we are expecting quite a bit of rain and wind tomorrow and thru the weekend so will continue with my deep cleaning......or not. Ahhh the life of a retired person

got up and went in and indexed for an hour then Barbie text me that she was on her way out so finished the batch and left. we sat around for awhile visiting ... yes outside so much nicer this year than when Karen was here... then we sorta dispersed I did dishes decided to go to Blythe and stop and get mail..then back in Q got diesel and gas for the genny... and had a quite night. well sorta the people on the other side of me where outside enjoying their time they are in area Karen where you parked...
tomorrow is games and we are going to have finger food so decided to make artichoke/spinach dip... the recipe only calls for 1/4 of a cup doesn't seem like much to me...cut off some think it's more like 1/2 a cup but it will be ok froze the rest for another time...my daughter makes this so good...her daughter loves it...
for some reason the computer seems to be really slow think it's due to the excess people out here. went to get water yesterday couldn't believe the amount of garbage outside of the dumpsters... I don't get when it's this busy and they are full why a person can't
1.break down the boxes or burn all burnable
2. take it away if the dumpsters are full
3. make sure all the garbage gets into the back of the dumpster...
4. why knowing this is what happens the BLM don't order more dumpsters for the
months of Dec and Jan
over here it's not as busy and we don't have the mess that South LaPosa has so I put mine through the side so it was in the back end of the dumpster dropped right down ...here's hoping it gets picked up tomorrow..

Went back over to Sheila's area this morning and we all sat outside of Lyn's trailer and chatted for awhile. Had all the dogs there too! It was beautiful outside! I left town about noon. No rain until I pulled into Palm Springs. I relaxed at the motel for a bit and then headed into downtown PS. Checked out lots of fun and interesting shops there. It had stopped raining by then but no one was sure if the Villagefest was gonna happen or not because of how wet it was, but then they started blocking off the streets and the vendors were setting up their tents. Within an hour it was getting busy all over. Lots of great music up and down the street. I stopped at Ruby's Diner for dinner and did a little more shopping. Just bought a few small things before heading back to my motel for the night. It was a fun time there tho. The only other time I've been to the Villagefest was with my dad about 35+ years ago. Of course it was a lot more crowded then because it was better weather, dry and warm then. But still a good fun crowd there tonight.

If it is nice out in the morning, I plan to go to Moortens Botanical Garden just down the street before heading home.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
