Where's Jenny-Heading to WA

Spent the night in Jackpot Nevada at Cactus Pete's Casino...they stole my money! I did not win the Jackpot :x Lost $9 and then went back to the MH and played on the computer where I have slot machine games...now if only I can figure out how to get the money out of the computer LOL   . Crossing the border into Idaho and cutting across Idaho to Oregon via Hwy 93 to Hwy 84 to 82 and be in WA on Wed 13th . We want to spend a month in the Tri-Cities ( Pasco/Kennewick/Richland). My Aunt,Uncle and Sister are there in the Tri-Cities. We almost didn't get a reservation though , something happened at the Hanford Nuclear area and guys are coming in droves to help fix the problem so all the campgrounds in the area are booked solid!!! Lucky for us there was a cancellation at Sandy Heights RV Resort and we got the last empty site!! We usually worry about the Hydro races there in June so we were caught off guard this time.
Saw a trucker multi tasking this morning....he was brushing his teeth while thumping his tires!
Getting excited to see my family and will post photo's on my blog after I get to Pasco and all set up. Still don't have the photo's up of Vegas.

Boy I know I'm heading North, had to put the heavy blanket on the bed and I'm finally wearing socks, jeans and sweatshirts! Cats were in the bed with us because they were cold!

Jenny, I was hoping you were bringing some of that Yuma sunshine back with you!! Yep, it's still chily here in the PNW. Warm weather is still a past memory. Drive safe!!

It was hotter in Vegas than Yuma!!! Air-conditioner never went off in Vegas!! Enjoyed going underground at the Hoover Dam...was really cool underneth. I was excited to see the building of the new bridge going up in front of the Dam.
Mostly we drove Hwy 93 thru Nevada, quiet Hwy and nothing but miles and miles of sagebrush, I buried myself in a good book and let Dan drive  Heaven forbid if you break down on that road though there is nothing out there!!

Hum did not find the speed bump, spent last night at the Wild Horse casino in Pendleton OR and we have arrived to Pasco safe and sound.
Only one problem....our site is right next to the freeway so we hear alot of the freeway noise but if we go to the other side we have to pay more money. We are paying $275.00 for a month and $50 towards electric. Going to Have to find a spot to park the Jeep so I can at least use our patio. We had more room at the other park we were in and now this one has become a KOA. I remember KOA stand for Keep-On-Adding different charges but I guess if you pay monthly it doesn't matter. I need to have them come pick up the picnic table though, not enough room for it and the car....groan. Back in sites are smaller but we had no choice being the only one available.

OK I did not drive, buried myself in a good book " Where The Heart Is" by Billie Letts, it's about the pregnant gal who was stranded at Wal-Mart.The drive to Pendleton was scary, STRONG winds the whole way, NO WAY was I driving!! In one area it began snowing!!!
slept with the slides closed and if you opened the front door you had to hold on with both arms so it would not slam against the motorhome because of the wind.

OK I'm starved going to go eat something and relax.

Quite a change from your lovely casita property as well as the weather difference. Luckily, as rv'ers, we've become quite adaptable. Maybe another site will open up. How's your foot holding up? Me thinks you must have bribed Betty somehow, because she has nothing but good things to say about you-as well as being beautiful. Enjoy your family. carold

LOL Betty is a hoot and we adore her! Dan told her we were heading out one day and Betty said " Well shoot I was gonna make you some Gumbo" Dan turned around and said " Ok we'll stay!" Betty was only kidding and Dan made her really make it :o
We send all our "Boomer" friends to her and keep her busy! Dan and Tommy helped put up the Christmas lights the last time we were there.

Oh yeah quite a change in weather...I'm freezing now! It's the usual gloomy rainy day in the Northwest

Yep I'm on Aleve, this damp cold weather plays havic with my health, I knew it was gonna rain before it did!!! Feet are holding up as long as I'm not on them too much and also make sure I take the Aleve. My medical records should have arrived at my Uncles by now in case I need more injections.

Crossed over into Oregon today with my Aunt to my Sister's place. My Sister has a feral cat hanging around so Rete caught it and had it neutered and then we released back by my Sister's and also left out alot of food. Afterwards I took her out to dinner ( Mexican) after shopping at Bi-Mart for a new coffee pot ....yep Mr. Coffee died and had to be replaced with a new one. I also found the propane Cooker stand we needed to boil the crabs outside this Sept in Oregon. Hooray I do not have to worry about cooking them inside the RV this year. NOW we are ready for the get together in Sept :) Saved sales tax by crossing the border. Wooohoooo!

Dan got a confirmation for 2 lessons already here...so he's going to have to map out a area to take the students for their driving classes this week. Weather is clearing up and warming back up ;)
Cats are not happy that they have not gotten to be outside yet,but I know they hate windy days so kept them in.

Glad your trip is going well, but sorry the weather is the same old crappy NW stuff. I remember on my trip to Alaska, we were stuck in Blaine, Wa for a week waiting for the weather to lift so we could leave. Got back to Blaine 5 months later and it was STILL raining!

Must be the week for coffee pots, I was at the BF's house and started a pot and it wouldn't drip....lights on, but no one home. BF accused me of killing his coffee maker, so had to go with him to help him pick out another one. Got home and mine wouldn't work! They say bad news comes in three's, so hopefully that's the end of coffee maker deaths for a while!

Enjoy your trip....when is crab season? We might possibly be in that area in July.

Other than you got a good rate - you explained why I avoid KOA's - small, tight spaces, not usually level - and usually beginning to run down. Sorry those of you who think they are good - I've only seen ONE really good one - none of the rest are even near my top. And usually they have the highest prices around, too. Course, they claim to have all the wonderful amenities, but when you have a small pool and cram in too many sites, you end up with more children than fit in that pool.

OK - off that bandwagon. Glad you arrived safe and sound - and hope you have a great month - even with the highway and small site - I know you will - as you're that upbeat type of person that I usually am - until KOA gets mentioned LOL

plug into my van cigarette lighter when I went camping.

Is Mr. Coffee himself on strike, or did the manufacturers just program a 'death time' for his pots to boost their sales during this time of bad economy!!!

So far, my kitchen model is still dripping! I must watch it closely for signs of illness!

BF's was a Mr. Coffee, but mine was a Black & Decker.....think there's a virus going around that affects coffeemakers?

Well thank goodness I had the old percolator for my coffee till I crossed over to Oregon with Aunt Rete to buy the new one. We use the percolator when we are Boondocking, just cannot justify cranking on the generator for a pot of coffee at 7 A.M. and wake everyone up next to us and ours will perk 8 cups of coffee. Found it at a thrift shop ages ago and it was a Revere one so I know it will last till the day I die! Now Mr. Coffee is another story, this is our 2nd coffee pot since getting the Alfa. When we bought the Tropi-Cal it had a coffee maker built in. I like the Mr. Coffee because I just turn it on and do not watch it, with the percolator you have to watch it and time it.

Yesterday Aunt Rete treated me to Starbucks so I enjoyed a Tall hot Chai Tea Latte and a blueberry muffin. YUM!!!

Hopefully breakfast at the old Country Buffet with everyone this morning, we have nicknamed this place " The Hog Trough". We'll pack up the Wii and take it to my Uncles house so we can get a serious case of the giggles today. Sunny and suppose to warm up.... :D

Have a good weekend everyone!
