Last Sunday of 2018

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Sunday of 2018

Morning all. 2018 is winding down. Got anything you said you wanted to do this year, that you didn’t, better get going at it  I can’t believe it’s almost January already. Was thinking yesterday that between working on my remodeling project in my craft/workshop, which is coming along nicely, the scrapbook I want to do from this year’s adventures and other things, I’m going to run out of winter

But I’m looking forward to next year as now have two camping reservations on the calendar. Memorial Day weekend and my friends and I just booked the week of July 4th yesterday. Wanted to grab lakefront sites before they all disappear as they are going fast. Fun times coming up.

Sorry you gals in the SW are having winter instead of nice warm weather. Hopefully it will warm up for you. And yes Martha, you are correct about that he storm naming. It’s the Weather Service that does it. Kinda fun seeing what names they come up with. Looks like more rain in your neck of the woods again. Barbie, hope you get rid of your cold.

Time for me to get moving here. Off to mass in a while, then couple errands. Probably go putter on my project and of course, thecdaily walk later today. Took the dogs for a long walk on a snowmobile trail the other day. About 3 miles. Let them off their leads and they had a blast just running and chasing each other, sniffing and snooping. Was a joy to watch them enjoying themselves. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning all,,,
Sorry to be awol but health issues have caused me extreme anxiety. The high blood pressure spiking into 204/100 range with chest pains sent me to the er one day, was glad to find out my heart is fine but still the question why the blood pressure us spiking. They doubled my dose and its coming back down to a reasonable number but still high. I'm really missing my desert (Q) but with the freezing temps everywhere I'm glad I have electric right now. Getting things ready for the move in the very near future, manager in the new place busy getting my site de-weeded and put the faucet on and mailbox up. Don't expect him to work in the cold so we're good time wise.
Went out yesterday to check on the fifthwheel, its fine, tires still holding air and toilet seal still holding. Then we took a drive up to Canyon Lake as my cousin wanted to do a little sight seeing since we were on that side of town. They redid the road with new pavement, it was really smooth! I had forgot how winding it was though and a little vertigo going on didn't let me out of the car for very long. Was glad to get home safe.
Spoke to my dad Christmas, he had just got out of the hospital from a fall he took out in the yard setting out the trash can. He layed out there 20 to 30 min before a neighbor girl on her way to school saw him. She called her dad and he came and helped my dad in the house. Then next door neighbor noticed no lights and garage wide open come nightime so she took him to the hospital. Nothing broke and no stroke or heart issues. Just a loss of balance. He has decided its time to sell the house and move closer to my brother.
That's all from me, Abby and Maggie doing fine, they sure make me smile.

Ava, hope they can figure out what is causing your high blood pressure. I decided to check mine and a good thing I did. There was a battery leaking and it could have ruined the monitor. My blood pressure was 118/79 so guess that's good.

I'm glad I don't have to make reservations 6 months in advance or I would never go anywhere. There's a Coach House Owners rally in Savannah in April. I would like to go to Savannah but I'm sure it will be booked up before I ever make up my mind.

I am so sick of this weather. The fog moved in about 8:00 this morning and everything is wet. There is rain just to the West so will probably be an even wetter afternoon.

Alice, take care of yourself! That's scary.

Ha, reservations. I picked this park for over New Year's... Knew I'd like doing the New Year's day hike here. I also knew I'd likely not get a walk in site during this week... So it's my only reservation so far this winter. (I have a two night reservation at one of my favorite Maricopa County parks after Q... Which is forcing me to head a certain direction then.) Without this reservation I wouldn't have come with the cold that is here. That said, the sun is helping. And Ty is being so good about us sleeping in so the temp can get a little warmer and we get a decent walk in. I promise and follow through on really longer walks in the afternoon. When I leave on Sunday, temps should be around normal. Go figure lol And I do like hibernating sometimes, so it could be worse.

Gosh, Ava. I hope you get your blood pressure under control soon & feel better.
Sarah, you too. Take care of yourself.
Martha, I'm with you - I hate to plan things very far in advance - you never know what else might come up. :D
Taking down the rest of the Christmas stuff today. I welcome humdrum routine days to return.
Ran down to San Diego yesterday to check Gaby's place & mail. Did a little deep cleaning for them. Was going to stay the night but Sadie cried & whined whenever I left the aprtment - so no running to the store, no going to church & dogs aren't supposed to be at any of parks or walkways along the beach until later in the day so I came back with a list of things I still want to do there. May return next Saturday since Gaby doesn't get back until the following Wed. Their little apartment is really sweet.
Thinking of going back up to WA to see the twins in mid-late Feb. Flights are cheap but start to go up in early March. Again, I hate planning things but its a necessary evil to get good prices.
Well, better continue straightening up around here.
Take care & stay warm,
Catherine

Good afternoon gals!

Just got home from work. Not too busy today, just steady, so no stress. Still feeling crappy, my nose is running, my ears are ringing and plugged up.

Ava, did I miss something? I didn't know you found a place to move to. Where is that? I hope you get your BP under control soon! :o You might suggest to your dad to get one of the Life Alerts. My dad had Life Station which was really good and very affordable. Good that he realizes he needs to let go of the house and be closer to family.

Catherine, I am usually off on Saturdays so if you are down in SD, let me know if you want to meet for lunch or a walk on the beach somewhere. There is a dog beach in Ocean Beach open for dogs all the time.

It is cold here at night (relatively speaking). It does drop really fast when the sun goes down! But the sun warms the air quickly in the mornings again. No complaints here. Just sweater weather to me! :D

I made reservations at the Yacht Club Motel in Q for January 15 to the 17th. Then one night in Palm Springs for my birthday before heading back home. Don't have a lot of money right now or I would stay longer than that. Can't afford to take too much time (unpaid) from work right now.

I feel a nap coming on...have a good afternoon! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
