Congratulations for the house sale...you won't be bored for quite a while. The fire is nice this evening. The Herschel and Remi dogs enjoyed attending the Volunteer dinner at the nursing home. Herschel did has some concern why he was just lying ariound the dinner table and not actually visiting. (He got to do some before we left.) The noise and clapping worried shy Remi a little but I just took him down the one hall and let on of his friend "dog sit" him his lap in his room. It was much quieter and Remi had his friend for safety. After about 15 minutes I stopped back and took him across the hall to spend some time with another of his friends and I went back to the end of the dinner! Remi was a happy dog! Tired now and need to pak a lunch for tomorrow and get ready for bed. The project may be over on Friday (or Saturday) and my next project doesn't start till Wednesday next. I might get some reading done (You didn't think I was going to clean did you?) Still a lot of gray skies around her but the grass is green, green , green and the trees are busting out. Enjoy the fire.

Good morning. I got some more wood and of course, my hot chocolate. I need to just feel the warmth of the fire this morning. I am back in Tennessee for a couple days. Bash and I left Arizona late Saturday afternoon and got back here Tues. evening. I made a round trip reservation yesterday. I have to go back to Texas to stay with my sis but I am going to stand by my decision I can only stay until May 19th. I need to be home this summer and Mary will have to make alternate plans if she can not stay by herself by then. Neither of my brothers are able to go stay with her after that. My younger brother is there now but needs to leave Sunday.

I will fly home on the 19th and then turn around and drive to Illinois for an all-school Alumni Banquet they have every year on Sat. the 23rd and my 45th class reunion on Monday!! Where has all the time gone!!! Gosh!!!

Sure glad you gals have kept the campfire going!!

Well, you might be houseless but definitely not homeless. And look at the big neighborhood you're in now. Congratulations, the journey has begun. Looking forward to your travels, maybe not quite as much as you. carold

Finished the first project early, got my paycheck, went hiking, came back with two wet and tired dogs, life is beautiful :) Will enjoy the campfire for a while and then get some laundry started and maybe get to bed early so that I can run errands tomorrow and in general enjoy the sunshine and temps. Might drive the SHort Bus over to the truck wash and get the winter grim washed off. I know the bus is small but those young men seem to make good use of their energy and muscles and it gets clean sooo fast. Hope everyone is able to enjoy their adventures this weekend what ever they are.

With a couple days off I have time to sit longer. Breakfast next to the campfire with the birds in the background. Where did I put my book? I think I could sit here awhile before the running around on errands start......

I think everyone thinks spring has sprung too hot for campfire but tonight my tooties are cold so I'm going to build the fire up and stretch out my feet and get them warm!!! think I'll have a hot chocolate as well. Going to take lots of blowing on this fire to revive it. But will get it done cause I'm hot winded....

The campfire feels very good this morning! Although the day promises to be warmer than yesterday, and sunny, it's very cool out there now. Having some coffee by the fire is a great way to begin my day! I'll leave some pieces of kindling and a few logs to keep 'er going! Molly loves it near the heat, too---I am convinced she's a wild Carolina Dingo that some trucker picked up and lost in Detroit....she's NOT a lover of ice and snow and cold!

Glad you got a warm fire going. I had to wade water to get to my car last night after going to the Wylie Opry!! My shoes are wet, my jeans legs were soaked and I am still a little chilled. We had a LOT of rain yesterday--wind too!! Guess you all heard about the wind getting the Cowboys practice stadium. Most of the bad stuff went south and east of Allen-----we just got lots of rain. Got my hot choc. and I am going to enjoy the fire for awhile

Need to up load the pups pictures for this wek but am getting tired. They pups got moved from the whelping box in the back office to the kitchen! They were just about ready to crawl over the front of the box and are ready for grand central station. They other dogs can spend more time around time this way and they get used to a lot more sounds and a busier environment. Blondie will still nurse them but does it standing up and they and they had better be quick and efficient because she doesn;t wait long. They are all eating puppy chow soaked with water...put the blender away two days ago.....they grow so fast.... Work is pulling full 8 hour days and will probably offer Sat hours so i expect to stay busy all week. The fire feels good against the chill of the weather. I'll just sit awhile before I fall asleep, or I will fall asleep before I head off to bed.........zzzzzz

Altho its warmed up enough during the day to hit the newly opened pool the evenings are still cool enough to enjoy a nice fire. And maybe a bottle of beer? For some reason I'm hungry for a hotdog cooked in the fire so its slightly burned. Yum. I have a friend coming here Weds for a couple of days and we'll be sitting around the fire with our glasses of wine. She will receive her Flaming glass. She has joined our forum (Diane fm AZ) but hasn't been posting. I'm going to give her a lesson on Photobucket and posting on the forum. She's going to be caravaning with some other friends to the East Coast.

well the coals are cold so I'll take the opportunity to clean out some ash and
rebuild the fire. I'm also gonna cheat and use the lighter fluid to get the new
logs goin, I just like doin things the easy way :P Now when ya'll have time to
sit a spell the fire will be nice, the beer cold and I do believe there is a stash
of something special in that cabinet, wine maybe?
I've restacked the wood too, I think the critters got into it.
Now that I have that all done I can sit a spell and relax and contemplate on the
things I'll do tomorrow. ahhhh, the night is nice and quiet, I can hear the crickets.
