Good Morning. Up and not quite at em on this cloudy, light snow morning, but will be getting changed and heading for the basement to start on some overhualing of insulation along the rim joists. There’s insulation all along there, but builders just tuck pieces of batting in there. Same on crawl spaces. It’s quick and easy way to get the job done but not energy efficient. So I take it out, cut 2 inch thick foam imsulation to size, put that in there and the put the other insulation back. Then staple a thinner insulation covering over it all. Does a good job of keeping cold air at bay. Takes a bit of work, but nice when its done. Good winter project.

Enjoyed reading all the posts on Rabbits Day. Good to hear from a lot of you and know all’s okay in your world.

Mother Nature has been on a rampage, hope nothing near those of you in the path of the current storm. Hate to see tornadoes at anytime, but especially during the holidays. Stay safe all.

Judy, glad you are starting to feel better. Beth, I like that pic of you at Tombstone.

Have my first reservations for 2019 camping season made, for Memorial Day weekend. Geeting it before the sites are gone. Most of lakefront sites already booked up. Next up is 4th of July week, but have to wait till window Is open to that point. New Years Day.

Good morning all. Well, I messed up yesterday. The sun came out about 1 yesterday so I decided it was a good drive for a drive over to Altoona, about 35 miles from here. I hit fog at the top of the mountain but figured it would go away when I got to the other side. Wrong, fog all the way to Altoona! Needed to return some pants I had gotten so with a smile on my face, in I went. Kick me if I do that again between now and the end of the year! Did what I had to do and got out of there!! Even Petco was crowded. And to add insult to injury I missed the sun at home! Caught the sunset at home but missed the rest! Sigh, and who knows how long it’ll be before we see the sun again!! And after a “warm” day the temps are on the way down again this week. So will concentrate on doing inside chores. Plenty to keep me busy!
I think I’ll go out and run the generator on Lola for a few minutes today. I promised myself I would do better about doing that this winter. Plus I get to visit her and dream about spring! Rascal jumps in and plops himself on the seat and then looks at me like I’m crazy when I tell him it’s time to get out! He’s always ready for a ride!

Good Morning All, Sharon I had the same experience. Tagged along with #1 daughter because it was rainy and I was bored. Walmart can be a little strange in nice weather, on a week day. Last night it was a zoo. I followed her around stores for 6 hours and bought a pack of socks. On her advice I drove the unfamiliar back roads in the fog, rain, dark and big bubba riding my bumper. Going to stay home today and shred paper. Safe travels.

Had a nice Christmas party up in the Columbus area with one of the kennel clubs I belong to. I spent the night at Cindy's house. Lark was allowed to come with me and practice being a good house guest. She passed. While sitting on Cindy's couch between us Saturday night she did start sniffing around the back of the cushions. Since I know that Cindy often shares her couch with her four legged friends I suggested that maybe one of them had hidden one of their toys in there. Well apparently, no, but Lark is officially ready for "noise work. I reached in and pulled out what I initially thought might have been a soft tissue but turned out to be stuffing from mice action. Did I mention that Cindy lives in an old farm house over 150 years old where mice are just a constant way of life, especially in the fall? Cindy said she would wait until after I left to discover just how much like swiss cheese part of that cushion may now appear.

Josef is home with me for the week, bouncing off the furniture as if it is gymnastic equipment and wrestling with his Lark girl. I drive back to Cindy with him Saturday afternoon so that we can head to Orlando on Sunday. With Cindy being retired this year we are not going to be as rushed and tired. After the shows we hope to spend a day at another English Cocker friend's house over near Jacksonville before heading back north. Josef has made his arrangements to stay with Cindy over the winter. She will look after his handsome self and probable show him in a couple of winter shows. I will get my hiking and kayaking dogs and be able to go rambling about and not worry about the high level of coat care. Josef is fortunate to have two mammas and being an adaptable English Cocker. He loves life and attention when he lands in good places. We should all be so happy!

Making an acupuncture appointment this morning to see if it might support the healing of the Bell's Palsey. Other than a tired , achy face as the day progresses, so far I have managed to keep the eye from getting too dry which is where the damage to sight can come in.

And with shopping, it is only with Thrift Stores that I am tempted to stop and go in. The Thrift Store fun is all about the happy discovery of surprises that may have fallen out of the back of someone else's mini van. And even at that there isn't much that is worth the dusting around or the clutter. Luckily I am at a point that I don't "need" much. I think everyone needs to either experience downsizing their own stuff or cleaning out the life collections of a relative or a friend to understand that stuff is stuff.

Off to make some doctor appointments and send some texts to my daughter and see what her week before Christmas looks like in case some RV from Ohio wants to park in their driveway for a couple of nights on the way south.

O'Sharon, remember if PA begins to get you too house bound, you climb in Lola and worry about dewinterizing after you pass TN or so and suddenly you find sunshine. And then there is Florida just another day or so down the highway.

We have sun today but only 65 instead of yesterday's 84. Yesterday afternoon I decided to go to the pond on the golf cart and found out what a mess the pasture is in. We don't have time between rains for things to dry out. At least the grass in the yard has quit growing so fast.

I got the dirty clothes out of the camper but forgot the sheets. Frosty jumps in the camper every chance he gets. I keep telling him I'm going to take him camping. As soon as I start the engine he's ready to get out. I'm ready to go somewhere again but guess I need to do some of the things that need doing around here. I need to go to town but moving pretty slow.

High of only 45 today and lows this coming week as low as 24. Going to use fresh water in tank, so I should be OK. Also, I have put a rag around where my sewer hose comes out and also have stuck the electric plug through the small hose, so the heat from the duct in there should keep stuff unfrozen.

I am feeling tired, but there is a lot less blood in my urine, which is good. Passing as much blood as I was is scary, especially when you know your platelets are so low. I was afraid I would never stop bleeding. (My son has had low platelets from 9 years ago when he recovered from lymphoma, and he jokes that when he cuts himself, his two platelets fight over which will stop the bleeding.) I am supposed to go into the urologists sometime this week for blood work and maybe an ultrasound to see if stones have gone. On the 19th, I will be getting another cat scan, which will tell me the status of my left kidney.

I think I am going to wait as long as I can for cataract surgery. Don't want bleeding problems with my eyes.
